Logs
Taking a little time this afternoon to drive a loop out of Shep on the back roads to see a little of the countryside and find a few caches.
It took a few minutes to realise where the cache might be, and then the log was duly signed.
After the signing, I followed the track 'inland' a little further to take a look at the ponds - a nice cool and shady spot on a hot day..

Mr and Mrs Moneydork, or Moneydork and Tounga, came to visit me over their long weekend and it was so cool to see some SA faces that i've missed [:X]
Tonight Moneydork and I headed out to snaffle a couple of caches [^], despite his having had a huge driving day today [|)]
So the two closest caches to Shepp that I had not found are now found and they were both great spots to visit on a night caching run [^]
So 2 cache finds for me and then home to bed before a day out tomorrow with both of the lovely visitors [^]
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Another inspired name for a natural feature
So I headed out along the equally inspirationally named Swamp Road to see what this cache was all about.
The soils are black
The mud is blacker [:o]
But the swamp at the moment is a lovely straw colour
A stroll from the gate and I was at GZ.
A quick cache find after that
TFTC and visit to this out of the way spot [^]

I got up early to do a few before the kids were up. Driving around in the dark was a bit of an experience. However, cache found! Thanks heaps, Spy Inc!
Up in the area from Melbourne to attend Cybergran V's Central Victoria Annual Get Together event.
After the event we had a great time exploring the area and nearby towns picking up some "small" size caches we need for one of the upcoming Mega challenges.. we are only a couple of hundred short! (thanks a lot sharkiefan!).
We targeted this cache after noting it fitted our criterion for today's caching.
A beautiful area, and thankfully it was dry so the roads were easy going.
I had to use Little Miss as a TOTT to retrieve the cache!
Thanks for the cache Spy Inc. and it was great to meet you guys earlier in the day at Cybergran V's event.

This was a nice quick find in a lovely albeit dry reserve. Thanks for the cache and bringing us out here.
TFTC. Came back for a lovely walk with some geo eyes. Last time we had a chance to come thru it had been muggled. Glad to see cache is here in great condition. TNLN. SL.
Found this one after a bit of a walk in. Lucky the gps was right as I am not that tall. TFTC Spy Inc.
Up for some caching in Numurkah. No mozzies, but the flies to carry us away. Geokids decided to have a long stick fight. We had to navigate there by guessing, because our maps aren't very accurate. Tftc.
A nice easy find today, our last for this trip. First to sign new logbook.
Replaced back to hiding spot. TFTC.

Caught up with family today and decided a bike ride was on the agenda. Beautiful day perfect weather so decided to have a geo while here. Came and hunted with 5 sets of geo eyes. Unfortunately could not find. We had gz no problem but are starting to think geo may have been muggled . Maybe owner may need to check please. But a beautiful ride anyway
At this time of year this track is not suitable for 2WD vehicles but, I persisted and we finally made it to GZ. Bentley TB and misschief18 were breathing sighs of relief when we reached our destination until they remembered that we had to retrace our tyre tracks to emerge back on to the highway. Worse to come was that we were challenged when it came to retrieving the container but, not to be beaten an item in the geocar proved invaluable and soon the cache was in hand.

The road to here wasn't the best-muddy with lots of potholes- but we got to GZ in the end. Thanks to my skillful driver. Then, how to get the log? Where there is a will, there is a way. Signed log and left a dinosaur. Now to get out of here and back to the highway. Done! TFTC
We were a little worried about the road closed signs, but we got there in the end. A lovely reserve, and a great place for a cache. Thanks for bringing us here and for the hide.
Now that the weather is improving the motorbike has come out of hiding and muggle mate suggested a ride across to Numurkah for a bit of caching.
Just a short ride out of town along well formed dirt road to a very quiet reserve. The cache was in an easy spot to get too and I didn't even have to get off the bike.
Thank you, Spy Inc., for this cache.

Thank you, spyinc. A few tips geodaughter passed on helped me. A nice quiet day here. Can hear the wind in the trees and lovely birds
Out and about again, I have been out of action and suffering withdrawal symptoms, but my mate Wozzle68 was kind enough to bring me here this morning, a lovely day for a drive, and a very sneaky clever hide it was too. Thanks for the cache. It is clean, log not full, that is one you won't have to do a maintenance run on.
I had a long weekend planned to visit the Victorian border region for a bit of caching. I had a great time and managed to get to many caches over the time I was away. Things got a bit hot which slowed me down, but I was happy to see so many great places and hides. This spot was a bit out of the way, but it looks like a great reserve. Thanks.

Thank heaven there was two of us because I would never have retrieved this one on own. SL TFTC
Continuing my "sneak around in front of the Harrawangs" drive around the countryside on a nice sunny day, I turned up at this one thinking " what a fantastic spot for a bit of a nice quiet sit", so I found the cache and then sat for a bit and enjoyed the serenity. Quite a bit of bird life in the swamp today, so it wasn't all peace and quiet, but it was a pleasant type of background noise.
Stopped and laughed at the tyre with the tree growing up through it on the way out, it has been there for a while!
Thanks Spy Inc for the top spot!

#2384 Happy enough to find the way in was not swampy. We see our friends Skullracing has been here today before us - it seems they put their clocks forward a day as well as an hour LOL. SL at 12.15pm TN Left: frog stickers. TFTC Spy Inc.
Took the drive out to see the swamp. Hubby a bit disappointed as the track was dry.
#1004 Found this one on bewt sunny Spring afternoon. A good safe hide and we spotted a Pelican or two on the nearby swamp. Lovely spot thanks for bringing us here and TFTC Spy Inc.
The road had some areas that were a little dodgy after the rain last week but passable with care. Lovely area that I plan to revisit when I have more time TFTC Spy Inc
Many thanks for the Cache Spy inc just a short distance from where we had business to attend to today .
I am so glad I decided to search for this today. It has been dry lately and the road in was pretty good for my little mobile. Cut up parts of the road were easily bypassed. I wore my gum boots in just in case of snakes but saw none. In fact the cache was easily accessible. On my way out, a couple of push bikers rode by and by the time I got back to Wunghnu the bikers had already got there via a route further south than the one I took via numurkah. TFTC. This one deserves its favourite from me.
Found it
But Please be aware of Snakes when walking around trees in this area. As I almost stood on one at the base of a Tree Stump. Scary :/

FTF we were surprised to see this one hadn't been found yet, quick find on a sunny morning TFTC
