Unfortunately, I no longer live in North Queensland, so Im no longer in a position to effectively maintain this cache. Time for it to be archived and free up room for someone else. Thanks to all who have found (or not) this cache.

Not found. There was a bit of rubbish in some of the obvious places, so I wasn't game to put my hands in there. Otherwise, it was a very nice spot.

I went on a week long trip to Cairns to escape the Canberra region and do a little diving and some exploration with caching to keep me busy. The warm weather was refreshing after the Canberra winter. As usual after flying up there was lots of walking but it was great to be out. Day 9. After my second boat trip and some amazing diving I had another two days to explore. Today I went up the Giles range to Atherton. A nice dry day today and some good caches today.

I had a look at the plaque and confirmed the GZ for this one before heading over to the other equipment to hunt around and find the cache. One out of three in this busy park.

Thanks for the cache RobS72

Had a couple of minutes free so I thought I’d try for this one. Great spot & nice use of available fixtures at GZ. The lid was a bit tight but otherwise found without incident. Looks like the plaque has been restored so this cache can probably go back to being a multi. Great job, TFTC!0

Our time in FNQ is drawing to an end. So we decided to do some full on caching and left the caravan in Walkamin whilst we head out to explore Port Douglas and Cairns.

After a big caching day yesterday it was after 9am before we headed out. Another 31degrees and the humidity was rising. We headed up to Trinity beach to start the day then cached down to Gordonvale for lunch at Piefection before returning to our camp at 5.30pm.

Really enjoyed touring Cairns and being tourists using geocaching as our tour guide.

Quick find after reading the cache page. Think the sign is back now but we found the cache.Razz

The information plaque required to find the cache has indeed gone missing. Until it has been replaced, I have turned this cache into a Traditional find by providing the final coordinates within the cache description.

I will alter the description once again by removing the final coordinates from public display and returning it back to a Multi-Cache find once the information plaque has been replaced.

Thanks to SFJeff for alerting me to the plaques disappearance.

02-Aug-16
The information plate for the clues is missing, so there is no way to get the data.

Looks like the information plaque required to work out the location of the cache hide mightbe missing. Will check on this soon. Until then, I'll disable the listing.

Hi there RobS72. We found your cache "Going Loco ... steams again!" at 12:20:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 11015.
[Blue]
We had to take our caravan to the Jayco dealer to have a warranty issue looked at. It has only taken them 9 months to supply the correct parts, despite being sent photos of the affected area way back in October 2014. [:(!]

We enjoyed all the caches we found today.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Out an about having a hunt day with the family. Decided to pack a picnic and grab a chook from coles. Had a nice little sit down under the shade of one of the many gigantic trees before heading off on a hunt.

After checking all the obvious spots, we found this one safely secured and away from prying eyes.

After a lengthy absence from the 'Cairns hunting scene' (August 2014), I dusted off my gear and met up with my friends Ingrid and Walter for another exciting morning in the fresh air in SW area of the city. Excited to find treasures and to catch up.

Found treasure swiftly and in good condition. +/-0. T4TC.

13-Sep-14
FTF - we called in and visited the cute old sugar cane train this morning on the way into town.
Hardly anyone around as we read the information plaque and gathered the required information.
With all of the blanks now having a digit, we calculated a set of co-ordinates and set off in search of the cache. With three of us searching it didn't take too long for the container to be felt.
Thanks RobS72 for restoking this cache. A nice area well worth a visit.
