Having found this one previously I was helping some newcomers to the game try and find it.
Unfortunately the cache has been washed away. The level of the water has been quite high at some point as indicated by the amount of debris up under the walkway. Previous geocachers have also indicated the cache is no longer in place.
The owner has not intervened or showed interest in replacing the cache even after it was reported that the log book was wet.
Due to the nature of the hide and the area being prone to flooding I would recommend the cache be archived to save others from trying to find it.

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
We were down in Melbourne for Lazyade's birthday, and had a couple of hours to spare before going out to dinner. So we figured a trip to Monash Uni might be just the thing.
Chook had attended this university many many moons ago, and only about half the buildings were existent back then. (You can tell which ones they are as they stand out as being a bit outdated now). She bored Chunk and Lazyade with "oh look, there's my lecture theatres, and there's where I would do my pracs". Chook also spent some time in Halls, but this beautiful garden wasn't here then, and it was just a path across an open field.
Being this time of year with short days, light was fading fast when we finally worked out where to park and made our way here. No muggles to bother us and we looked in the obvious spot in the phone torchlight, but to be honest, we didn't poke every nook and cranny, so its possible the cache is there and just tucked well away. Not to worry - we really enjoyed seeing what they have done with this garden and all the other developments as well.

Found with 4bait after dropping my brother off at tennis, log is saturated in water and cache has water in it, managed to scratch our names needs some matainace, tftc
Found whike out with 1k2ate this is a lovely spot but unfortunately the cache is full of water and everything inside is soggy. We were going to leave a TB but changed out minds once cache opened. TFTC
Found the box on the ground and rather wet inside. Too wet for writing in the log book. So I need to do a photo log. Put the box a bit higher, but not in a very stable position.
#639 - 9.20pm
After a day which began with a flat tyre and then had me cruising around in an ambulance for 10 hours, I was definitely in need of some geo-joy. I headed to Monash Uni for my 'daily double', counting on it being Sunday night to minimise muggle interference. But as I turned into the uni, I was rerouted away from my intended port of call by road workers. The guys employing heavy use of their flamethrowers persuaded me to set my sights here instead, lol.
I found a convenient parking area and strolled down to the quiet glade as a light shower hit.
It was dark.
It was late.
It was rainy.
And it was Sunday...
But still the muggles were regularly appearing from various angles, including a security guard shining his torch about from the building to the North.
There were a few scattered walkers silently crossing the nearby lawns who didn't notice my presence.
It was quiet in one way, but not so in another. It was the first of several paradoxes I encountered.
The log was dry, but not.
And the cache was where it should've been, but not.
In the end, I was happy to sign in and replace the cache where it should have been, before retreating out of the rain and away from the muggles.
Thanks hilaryluk

Found it! With time to spare on our way to a Walkabouter's meeting after work, we stopped here and made a quick find. I made a meal of retrieving the cache and ended up banging my head on the tree while Muggle Wen made an easy grab! All the log books in the cache are sopping wet. As the previous finder noted, the container appears to be not very water tight! Anyway TFTC SL
WE found the cache easy enough and replaced the log book. I suspect that the container is not as water tight as it could be. CO should think about replacing the container.
TFTC. We needed to fill today in on our December calendar. This cache was closest to where we are staying in Wheelers Hill. After the downpour yesterday we were expecting slush and mud. All in all not to bad. The lake was peaceful and the cache was sitting high. Having been warned about the state of the log in previous post, we put a spare note book in the bag. Sure enough the container was full of water. I replaced the log book and emptied the water. I did not have a plastic bag with us.(must remember to pack some).
Under cover of what can only be described as Queensland weather I decided to travel to the campus of my alma mater. Thankfully this was a quick find otherwise I fear I would have been drowned by the cats and dogs!
Find #985
It has started to quiet down on campus now so I ducked out to get some fresh air and hunt down this cache. Had the search area to myself so I was able to retrieve the cache easily. Managed to get my signature down on the wet paper, I could have slipped a new sheet in if I had read the previous logs. And happy to say there were no cache guardians today, just their previous artwork. TFTC!

My comments are pretty much the same as everyone else's -
1) Still very water-damaged, and in dire need of replacement (seriously, consider bringing a new notebook if you can - I was lucky enough to find a dry page to write on, but the next person might not be)
2) Arachnophobics beware! It wasn't the webs that bothered me so much as the huge huntsman hanging out on the side of the box... although he moved on pretty quickly once I dropped the cache and poked him with a stick a bit.

Myself & the kids were headed to Karkarook Park today for a long walk and lots of cache. I was about 1/2 an hour ahead of schedule so we stopped here enroute.
I was a little bit thrown by a previous log that said "not in the first place that I would look", so I looked in all the unlikely spots first. After coming up empty I read through some other logs and noticed plenty of reference to "webs". Well, there was only one place that could be.....in the first place that I would normally look, had a previous finder not said that it wasn't in the first place they would look. Have I confused you yet?
As I clapped eyes on the cache the youngest child came crashing down out of the tree he was climbing, whacking his elbow on the bridge on the way down. That suited me just fine.....as I tended to the crying child I sent the other child to brave the spider webs and retrieve the cache for me. It is a bit wet and soggy and could do with a log and container upgrade. But thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot.

This one happens to share the location of a PokemonGO gym, so after all the trainers had left the route, we made the quick find. Nice place, tftc
Not having much luck on campus today. Hunted high and low around the bridge and just couldn't find it. The possum box was a possible hiding place but we decided not to disturb the sleeping possum.
The geoson and I decided to go for a bike ride around the uni campus and grab a few of the caches within.
This was our third find for the day. TNLN. TFTC.

Simple little find, great spot though, thanks for putting one so close to Halls!
Found this one with a bit of difficulty. Not in the first place I would look. Make sure you BYO pen as it is missing from the geocache. Like the cache location tho. Nice place. Never new how big Monash Uni was. TFTC.
Today was a P366 day, and I just happened to be at Monash for a concert tonight, so a good chance to come and find this one before it started.
It was dark and I was without a proper torch, but I powered on with my measly little iPhone torch. The cache was found in an expected spot. Nice area!
Thanks hilaryluk

Happy to find this so soon, cause it took ages to return this one with stealth.
I used to get chased by four geese here in the 90's. Only saw one this time. Maybe some hungry live- ins at the halls!

A very wet and windy day to geocach. There had just been a storm through and trees were snapped in 2 all over the place. Still, ventured out to this lovely spot and found the cache with no problems. The log is a little soggy but ok. Thanks
Lovely day to re-attempt this one. Last time we came by a couple of nosy muggles sat on the nearby bench and watched us suspiciously for 20 minutes until we gave up. Today we return and have success. Dropped off a thematically appropriate trackable. Swapped a garden gnome for a puppy dog and left with a few scratches and cobwebs in our hair. Thanks for the cache and great spot.
Quick find today during my 3 hour gap between lectures. So I thought I'd try to knock a few off in the general area of the university. Took me to a beautiful little spot that I was completely unaware of until now. Thank you for sharing this little gem. TFTC- BuhFuhGuh
Just moved in monash halls of res.. so what do I do? Find a cache of course. This one was just lying out in open view. I couldn't work out where it was supposed to be hidden so I just hidden it slightly. It'll need the CO to put it back properly. Thanks for the cache
This cache is in need of some TLC. The log is damp and the cache could use some cleaning.
A super easy find after a long day in the library. Take a different route home by bike to get this cache. And a nice stop to relax at.
I love these kind of spots, love how they make you look at the environment and beautiful hiding spots around the local area!
Had to be a creeper to get this one. Log book was damp may need to be replaced
Catching up on a few late logs (something not that unusual for me). As always, I enjoyed the journey to find the cache, mostly I have been in the company of Team Crackers, maccamob, alansee and the Coffee's, but occasionally I have gone out solo to soak in the solitude of being out in the fresh air.
Thanks Hhluk1 for placing this cache.
Thanks Hhluk1 for placing this cache.
We were out and about with micaparamedic doing some cache maintenance and decided to pick up a few before heading home.
This was the last for the day and we wrongly assumed that the university would be a quiet place at this time of the year and had planned to look for four caches here but as it was this was the only one for the day. This is a lovely area that we enjoyed checking out as we walked to gz.
The cache was located quickly and our names were added to the log.
Thanks hilaryluk for the cache.

What a great spot.
Found the cache really quick but unfortunately the cache was empty apart from the log book which must have gotten wet and was looking a little worse for wear. May need new log book and some swaps for the kids.

After a few nearby DNF's it was good to finally be able to find this cache thanks to Happy pants. Sorry for the late log. TFTC Hhluk1.
We had a little bad luck around Monash Uni today with two dnf's but were happy to actually find one this afternoon. Thanks Hhluk1 for the hide and for bringing us here.
We had to find one of the three today here at Monash, so we weren't going away empty handed. After a bit of a search Happy pants came up with the goods. Thanks for bringing us here and for the hide.
Found @08:30 #5191
On the way to an appointment this morning and so on the way pickup a few more caches in the 10k. Actually due to getting the time wrong was told to come back in 40mins which wasn't an issue as more caches could be found. Log all dry and found after a brief search.

On s outing event. Book is wet thru and needs replacing . Nice part on Monash . Tftc
Log and contents are water-logged. The log book is beyond saving and will need to be replaced.
Found today on a nice sunny morning. A huge white duck was happily swimming across the lake. This is a beautiful area. The cobwebs were a bit eery, so the hands were moving quickly to get the cache in and out. The log and contents are still very wet, so my name was pretty much scribed into the log. TNLNSL, TFTC.
Found it. Logbook was quite wet, therefore, our logis more an inscription than a writing. But very nice spot:)
Went by on Friday to show a friend what Geocaching was all about. Wasn't a good first impression - the container had fallen with all contents dispersed on the ground. Logbook soggy and destroyed.
Find #3
Found again with RetroJoe. Well hidden in a nice area...prepare for cobwebs!

After finally finding a place to park, we walked over to the cache. The GPS again had us a fair way from the final place we found the cache, and again we resorted to phone based assistance, but only because we were sick of getting covered in cobwebs. We picked this cache up at 3:19pm.
Sharkiefan and I were out to pick up a few caches, since I will be away for a while. Unusually for us, there was no plan, we just moved from cache to cache until we had had enough and it was time to go home.
Thanks for the cache Hhluk1.

Thanks for the cache Hhluk1.
In nearby Mulgrave to visit my accountant today and well, I've been looking at all these caches on the Monash Uni grounds for so long, it's time to grab a few.
Great little spot here and one way to obvious container for it to be a cache, although I wondered for some time. In the end I sent my thinking in the opposite direction and quickly had the prize in hand.

Original log a bit soggy, and I got soggy too because of recent rain, bit worth the find.

After the 3am Flash Mob, I went back home and got some sleep.
This afternoon I went out again, and targetted Monash Uni and a nearby park.
This one was find number 1 of 7 for the day.
It took longer to find than it should have, but I eventually found it. The log book is still a little damp.

Great spot! Coords were 6m out for me. Q left a TB. What better thing to do when the Queen kind of celebrates a birthday than go caching! Here today with GJMMelb and quiet1_au. TFTC
Found on Queens Birthday holiday with lochb and G' of GJMMelb - we had hoped it would be quiet but no such luck, plenty of staff and students around campus... After a short search around GZ the I spotted the cache on the ground and G' being closest grabbed it for us to log our visit. I dropped off a travelbug and we rehid it - hopefully it won't fall again. TFTC
Out caching on this fine holiday with Lochb and Quiet1_au. I grabbed this after Q spotted it. Hid it in a slightly better position, where it will hopefully stay. Thanks Hhluk1

A quiet parking spot and a quick find, nice to have both.
The log is a little damp but it was found and signed.

The hills are alive with Muggles. Seems a popular spot to pass through but not many stopping so with careful timing the cache was soon found. Pause for a moment & then retrieve once the coast was clear. Nice spot even on this brisk Autumn day.

A nice spot for a cache and found easily once I broadened my search area to about 10m.

This one was the last at monash for OzHockeyChick and i today. More stuffing around to park than to find the cache but all the same a bice little walk and find . Tftc
Cache #3 of 4 that the dog and I found whilst at the Monash campus yesterday for my daughter's sporting event. This was a fairly straightforward find on a quiet, drizzly Saturday afternoon - perfect duck weather! I enjoyed reading the plant signage as we wandered through the gardens. Thanks very much to Hhluk1 for highlighting this notable area by placing a cache here.
Like the rain forest cache this one is put in a lovely garden area. Thanks Hhluk1.
Wanted to get out of the office and into the sunshine, and was pleasantly surprised to see that this one had been re enabled. Nice little spot, tftc!
Edit: Full log as promised.
Firstly, I have to apologise to the CO as my original log was very poor. I promised a more detailed log so here it is...
When I first discovered Geocaching two years ago, I went hell for leather at it. It was, honestly, love at first sight ! Unfortunately, life and circumstance got in the way and I haven't really been able to get out and cache much for some time now.
In any case... I HAD to get out of the office this day
There was no question, no argument, no debate. It was just one of THOSE days and I just had to get out. It was also a spectacular, sunny, Autumn day in Melbourne so, I decided I'd go for a walk.
I'd recently bought my 1st Android smartphone and downloaded C:Geo. I'd never actually used it before and I was playing around with it earlier in the day when this cache popped up only 900m or so away. Being well aware that smartphones aren't all that accurate with GPS co-ordinates, I knew it would be a bit further than that but, as I said, it was a nice day and I needed a walk.
I spent my time, strolling to the GZ contemplating the meaning of life, the Universe and Everything. I didn't really get any answers (I came up with 42 [B)] ) but the fresh air and the stroll did me wonders. Once I arrived in the area I realised, I've been past this garden 100's of times in the last 7 years yet I've never taken the time to go and investigate !
The smartphone GPS'r was expectantly off however, the good hint gave me all the information I needed. As others have mentioned, the cache seemed to be way too exposed and I actually had to PAF (another work colleague who had found this one before) to check that I was replacing it in the correct position.
This cache is not hard to find, you wont have to climb mountains, trees or obelisks to get to it. You won't have to solve any mind boggling puzzles nor will you have to take a note pad and pencil. You can use stealth but that will probably make you look more suspicious that if you just looked "dumb" and went searching (like I did)
If nothing else, this cache ABSOLUTELY fits the Geocaching rules: It's in nice place, with interesting surroundings and it's in a place that, even when you know it exists, you would never visit unless there was a Geocache there !
I won't use the acronym's, I'll spell it out:
I didn't take anything, nor did I leave anything behind. I signed the log and fully enjoyed this find. The cache is in excellent condition. Favorite point from me.
Thank you Hhluk1 for a wonderful cache
Original Log: Found on lunch time stroll. More detailed log will follow.

Cache was pretty exposed but that seems to be the way with the caches around the uni Nice peaceful place. Thanks for bringing me here.
We found this cache today at 1:45pm as number 6 of 17 on our Mulgrave to Mordi Afternoon. Our simplest find of the three in here today. A really nice spot that we hadn't visited before. Our 9th Monash Uni cache. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
