Trying out a car for my nephew - the dealer at Rangiora said that Loburn was the best place locally for hills; it would have been rude to ignore this cache "on the way"!
Thanks for the cache, TW & TG.

25-Jan-22
One of 20 caches located today, mostly in the Loburn vicinity and north of there. Another quick find. I was quite happy about that after three successive DNFs, at least two of which I suspect had gone MIA. #4481. TFTC.

The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are exploring around the Ashley River this weekend. Left Zara in Sefton and headed out in Toby. We have located the elusive turtle, but lets see what else we can find today.
Tinker - Whats a Tinker - The Seagnoid asks. Great to see you gave us the answer on your cache page. Found this one on the ground - tagged and tucked back away. Cheers

22-Jul-18
Taybeedragon, Toby, Zara and I came down this way to search the nursery for the world turtle having heard it was in this vacinity. We found it yesterday, and now are just wandering around, collecting all the rest of the cache between the Kowai and Ashley rivers.

Quitte enjoying these tins. It was for the memories of one or two, but now it is for trying to make out what they were, as they are not really suited for being left out in the weather.

31-Mar-18
Camping at Mt Thomas DOC camping ground for Easter. Out & about the region for a drive & picnic and of course a spot of cache hunting. Thanks to the cache owners for placing the caches.

04-Mar-18
Thanks for the hide. Out on some Sunday caching.

16-Sep-17
My original plan involved caching somewhere else for the weekend, but winds interfered, and gave me an opportunity to cache closer to home. So out I went for a few hours of caching, and had great fun. I ended up with small rocks, dirt, and vegetation everywhere on myself and the car Wink Definitely worth the fun! TFTC!!!
I needed the Elastoplast at the previous cache lol!

Out and about after dinner, grabbing a couple of caches, targetting this series. Thanks for the series and the effort it went into setting it up, I really liked the variety of containers, with a couple of DNFs I shall return to grab.

TFTC TheWanglers, the cache was found in good order Very Happy Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 23 finds of 32 today, making this find #1426

My first day of not needing to go to work!! - Though a Saturday means no work anyways, but given that I only had 4 finds on the calendar, and I am now free to get started on my massive to do list, it's time to grab a few!!

Aim was at least 7, but I really wanted to clear out the little patch I still had within this area, so set my eyes on completing that before lunch.

Ended up getting 12!! And pretty much all 12 I had wanted without the rain starting up again, and without getting too blown away by the wind either!! Razz

Consec caching day # 1392

A lovely day for a drive to North Canterbury with Karma Reprint and Lorok, picking up a few tinkers we'd missed from previous trips up here. Cheers

Had a great day full of geocaching with Kiwi Moose and karma reprint. On this sunny day we went around Rangiora for visiting an event and plenty of caches.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides and thanks to Kiwi Moose and karma reprint for taking me on this trip full of fun.

25-Apr-16
Another gorgeous autumn day just asking for a caching expedition so we headed north of the Ashley to turn some green icons into smiles, travelling as far north as White Rock. It's been a while since we were last in the area and I'm pretty sure I've not been to White Rock before so had an enjoyable time exploring these North Canterbury roads. Thanks to the COs for their cache placements.
What a pleasant spot, with the view to the hills and the autumn colours on the trees. TFTC.

22-Apr-16
After several days in Chch and surrounds we headed home today but of course made time to find some caches on the way. As well as caching around Ashley and Loburn we returned to the Greta Valley to finish what we didn't have time for on our way south.By the time we reached home last night our count for the day was 53, tired but satisfied with our efforts for the week. The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.
Thank you to all CO's whose caches we found this week.

22-Apr-16
After caching managed to hold us up for two days we're heading for home. Not without picking up caches on the way and not so on the way though. And a detour via Greta Valley to take care of some unfinished business from a few days ago on the way down. The landscape is a lot more pleasant here than both the dry and irrigated land further South. A good variety of caches were found. Nice after doing some series on days previous. Our final tally for this multi day raid was 380+. The Travelling Tinker series was fun, a bit different with the appropriate containers to the series name and it brought back memories to boot. Thank you TheWanglers

15-Apr-16
Another first aid find - thank you.

18-Mar-16
It was rainyish at home but I still wanted to go find some caches. So I drove out to Cust. No sign of rain there. Onwards to country roads. Still no rain. Yay
Back to sealed roads. Time for some tinkering. Hopefully I will finish finding this series today.

Found during the Mega weekend on bit of a tiki-tour around the Canterbury back blocks. Great weather, great caches, great fun! Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces. Cool

26-Oct-15
In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.

Monday. Day Four, Area 4. Today we ventured north up towards Amberley. A change of scene from the long straight roads on the plains that we had experienced in the previous days. We then headed back to Pegasus and Rangiora to round out the day with a bit of urban caching.

Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found.

Cheers and TFTC

Planned a whirl wind trip to Canterbury this weekend to get some numbers and collect some puzzles - what a fantastic weekend for it, the weather was brisk but clear and sunny.

I think this is the first time we have come across this Travelling Tinker series - loved the containers, must have taken you a while to collect, throughly enjoyed all these finds and a +1 fav point for the series, although we have some more to collect one day I think.

Down this way for a spot of work and Rep training through the Southern Regions and Christchurch so this is an opportunity to grab a few caches that i otherwise would not get to. And as i'm working on a MGSc Challenge numbers are quite important.
After rushing off of the plane and getting a car it was straight off caching up a storm. This the one of many hopefully tonight as i want to have completed the requirements for the challenge before heading to the OZ Mega

THanks for the placement

I apologize for the EXTREMELY late log. 5th and last day of our End of Year caching trip. Last night we stayed at furpurse's house in ChCh and today we are heading home via the Travelling Tinkers powertrail. Most were quick easy P&G's as they were seen from the cache as we pulled up but some were lying on the ground so we put them back where the had come from. Thanks for the powertrail Smile

Retrieved the container easily. Great hide! It was a lovely day to be out on the trail. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.

TFTC. Out for a days caching adventure with purdiepurdie so we decided to sign the log TeamFP. We started the day off with a little healthy Fruit and Veggies and then finished off with a nice piece of Tinkering around.
The series was great, with nice old containers which were well placed.
Thanks TheWanglers for making this fun trail.
