An Epic mission on Heidi the Himalayan today. The mission: the caches of Lee's Valley.Tftc
I recall looking for this one ages ago without success. Anyway, an easy find today, the container is a little tricky to open; TFTC
Picked up this one up on a cool winter day. Thank you for placing this cache. All in good order here
On a mission to have a it a cache clean up of the Rangiora general area. Well, at least the chances I can solve/find
Found it on arrival, didn't write on it as owners of neighboring land were watching very closely
One of 20 caches located today, mostly in the Loburn vicinity and north of there. Very obvious where to look, but that’s all good. Easy-to-find caches make up for the difficult ones and the DNFs. Great to have a variety! #4483. TFTC.
Quick find, thank you, however couldn't open it as it is too rusty and warped so didn't log.
Our last day before we head home so headed out in the car to grab anything we came across. We had 29 finds and 2 dnf's so not too bad a day. Most of our finds were nice and quick and caches need no attention. Anything extra I will detail below. Thanks to all CO's for their caches.
Out and about Canterbury today, hitting the Horse Caches for most the the day then a few more uo the back - Many Thanks Bitsprayer
A bit too high for one of the team member but luckily the other part is a taller. Thanks
So enjoying this series, signed log as Girl Power which is Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch. Thanks for this cache
Quick find. Pathfinders thing going on nearby but what is that I wonder. Thanks for the hide!#3586
Cache was a quick find by Girl Power team of Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch. A great wee series and we had fun finding them.
A very good series with lots of info. Having a great day out with 3 like minded ladies. TFThides and a fav, wish I could give more. Log signed Girl power.
Quick find on a grocery escape run while at the NZPUC camporee up this road.
Hi. This cache may get a few finds over the next week from people attending the NZPUC Pathfinder Camporee just up the road. I most certainly plan to find it.
14.55: Almost closing our loop through the Lees Valley. We did not try all of the Tinker series, as it were simply too many for today. But the ones we looked for were very entertaining - like this one.
Weather: overcast, rain is over, 12°C;
Wheelchair: no problem, maybe help for particular access required;
State: all good, dry.
Thank you!

We've a little time left in my day out here I decided one more cache find was in order...and this was it! Quick find, but a much longer extraction. Thanks Wanglers and Team_Gaters.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are exploring around the Ashley River this weekend. Left Zara in Sefton and headed out in Toby. We have located the elusive turtle, but lets see what else we can find today.
Met up with the Travelling Tinker here to get some shoe polish. Cheers

Taybeedragon, Toby, Zara and I came down this way to search the nursery for the world turtle having heard it was in this vacinity. We found it yesterday, and now are just wandering around, collecting all the rest of the cache between the Kowai and Ashley rivers.
My original plan involved caching somewhere else for the weekend, but winds interfered, and gave me an opportunity to cache closer to home. So out I went for a few hours of caching, and had great fun. I ended up with small rocks, dirt, and vegetation everywhere on myself and the car Definitely worth the fun! TFTC!!!
Out and about after dinner, grabbing a couple of caches, targetting this series. Thanks for the series and the effort it went into setting it up, I really liked the variety of containers, with a couple of DNFs I shall return to grab.
TFTC TheWanglers, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 26 finds of 32 today, making this find #1429

Was out with Survey Base to make a few finds to help reach out caching goals by the end of the year. No problems locating the cache today. Thanks for the cache.
On an evening raid with 2wombles love this series and especially the containers. Quick easy find then on to the next. Thanks for the effort that has gone into this series. Another favourite for the last in this round.
A lovely day for a drive to North Canterbury with Karma Reprint and Lorok, picking up a few tinkers we'd missed from previous trips up here. Cheers
Had a great day full of geocaching with Kiwi Moose and karma reprint. On this sunny day we went around Rangiora for visiting an event and plenty of caches.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides and thanks to Kiwi Moose and karma reprint for taking me on this trip full of fun.

Another gorgeous autumn day just asking for a caching expedition so we headed north of the Ashley to turn some green icons into smiles, travelling as far north as White Rock. It's been a while since we were last in the area and I'm pretty sure I've not been to White Rock before so had an enjoyable time exploring these North Canterbury roads. Thanks to the COs for their cache placements.
Pleased that StreetWalker was with me to remove this cache from its hiding place. TFTC.

After several days in Chch and surrounds we headed home today but of course made time to find some caches on the way. As well as caching around Ashley and Loburn we returned to the Greta Valley to finish what we didn't have time for on our way south.By the time we reached home last night our count for the day was 53, tired but satisfied with our efforts for the week. The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.
Thank you to all CO's whose caches we found this week.
Thank you to all CO's whose caches we found this week.
After caching managed to hold us up for two days we're heading for home. Not without picking up caches on the way and not so on the way though. And a detour via Greta Valley to take care of some unfinished business from a few days ago on the way down. The landscape is a lot more pleasant here than both the dry and irrigated land further South. A good variety of caches were found. Nice after doing some series on days previous. Our final tally for this multi day raid was 380+. The Travelling Tinker series was fun, a bit different with the appropriate containers to the series name and it brought back memories to boot. Thank you TheWanglers
It was rainyish at home but I still wanted to go find some caches. So I drove out to Cust. No sign of rain there. Onwards to country roads. Still no rain. Yay
Back to sealed roads. Time for some tinkering. Hopefully I will finish finding this series today.

A quick find as we travelled down memory lane, although beyond Mrs W.E.K.A.'s reach. A favourite from us. TFTC
Found on my way back with the boy from a picnic lunch and swim up the Okuku river.
Got the Barbie set out on the river bank which looked the part, that is only how it looked as the part that really mattered was the gas hose which was sitting back in Christchurch, the boy was not impressed.
After loosing the car keys then finding them again it was time for a change of tact - that cache up the road.
Despite the odd hitch a good time was had by all. TFTC

Tftc sixth today as we continue this series. Second cacher determined height was not going to stop her.
In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.
Monday. Day Four, Area 4. Today we ventured north up towards Amberley. A change of scene from the long straight roads on the plains that we had experienced in the previous days. We then headed back to Pegasus and Rangiora to round out the day with a bit of urban caching.
Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found.
Cheers and TFTC

Found during the Mega weekend on bit of a tiki-tour around the Canterbury back blocks. Great weather, great caches, great fun! Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces.

On the way back from the top of Okuku Pass, picking up everything as I go, and exploring an area I haven't had much to do with until now. I had to wait out a muggle checking the mail, then went in for a quick find. TFTC (2231)
Planned a whirl wind trip to Canterbury this weekend to get some numbers and collect some puzzles - what a fantastic weekend for it, the weather was brisk but clear and sunny.
I think this is the first time we have come across this Travelling Tinker series - loved the containers, must have taken you a while to collect, throughly enjoyed all these finds and a +1 fav point for the series, although we have some more to collect one day I think.

One of the remaining 29 calander days when I have only found 2 caches on the day. So time to find at least 2 caches. Get those May numbers up!! (When may started, I had 17 such days only in May!!)
I had a day off work today. To catch up with life, and hopefully some sleep too (Second thing didn't end up happenning... )
Decided to come out this way, and to justify getting the last cache (This is still over 30KM from home ATCF!! ) I decided I could let myself find more caches. So 4 I set on.
Number 2 along this road. I parked up, and headed over. To my surprise, another car then pulled up behind me, and I was like ooh, cacher! So I waited, and watched, but no movement out of the car.
Worried a bit that this could be the cache theif, I walked around pretending I was txting someone on my GPS...
Finally, muggle left, and I went in for the grab. But wow this cache is designed for tall people!! I really struggled in both getting it down, and putting it back!! Got my name on it though...
Consec caching day #920

A few caches before we leave New Zealand after four weeks of traveling. This was number 14. A little too much for Rooie, so Reznik had to come to the rescue.

Down this way for a spot of work and Rep training through the Southern Regions and Christchurch so this is an opportunity to grab a few caches that i otherwise would not get to. And as i'm working on a MGSc Challenge numbers are quite important.
After rushing off of the plane and getting a car it was straight off caching up a storm. This the one of many hopefully tonight as i want to have completed the requirements for the challenge before heading to the OZ Mega
THanks for the placement

I apologize for the EXTREMELY late log. 5th and last day of our End of Year caching trip. Last night we stayed at furpurse's house in ChCh and today we are heading home via the Travelling Tinkers powertrail. Most were quick easy P&G's as they were seen from the cache as we pulled up but some were lying on the ground so we put them back where the had come from. This was bit of a reach to put back I think we used the car to stand on. Thanks for the powertrail
Had a yummy Christmas lunch then thought we would go off and find some caches. 36 caches later and 3.5 hours gone we are back home
Lovely day for a drive
Merry Christmas!

Hmmm is that the gallant and chivalrous gentleman or the dismissive one, showing arrogant or offhand disregard - - -
I thought the placement of this particular brand fitted into the neighbourhood well if the gates across the road are anything to go by - spells out look at me and just how much money I have to spend! TFTC #6322
A nice series to spend the day on!
A day spent around the Oxford and Rangiora areas. Nice and sunny, with a bit of a cool wind.
Thank you very much for the hide.

Hadn't had a decent caching mission in ages so off I went on a windy Sunday. My grandfather used to have an extensive selection of these containers and I remember being fascinated by these when I was a nipper. TFTC and the series!!!!
We are getting there and still enjoying the series as we watch our numbers rise.
6424. Out on a travelling tinker mission this afternoon. Aim was to do all 33 plus a few others, as well as checking a couple of our own. This was cache number 17 of 37 finds. Another great cache in the series. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
