After a fun morning or tracks and the smell of food wafting from the in car oven we pulled over to grab this cache. Guessing in other days this would have been a great view but the saplings have grown up and is now limiting the view but still a nice spot and a well deserved morning tea on the side of the track on return to the vehicle.

After our failed attempt at locating the "We've got service!" cache I wanted to head down to O'Tooles Flat via Flat's Tk but rather than plummet over the edge I wisely decided to walk down first to grab this cache rather than launch the 4WD down what I thought was the track from Williamson Spur Rd. Wrong! Thank goodness I walked it first because those rock steps were ugly and not something I would ever want to take my 4Bee down! As it turned out there was a chicken route to avoid this nasty section that was actually the proper track from Williamson which I missed seeing when we headed towards the last cache. Unlike that cache this one was found and still remains in very good condition despite not being found for now just over four years!

Tftc! One of fav regular tracks, couldnt wait to find this one. Great view of aberfeldy at gz.

We came at this one from O'Tooles on the river, and initially we started up the old alignment of Flat track, but soon backed out as it all didn't look like a well used track at all, so we came around to the more well used alignment and sat back, hit the fun buttons, and enjoyed the ride to the top in the big flash diff locked Prado...well, some of us enjoyed the drive, the Queen wasn't totally happy at times, but we didn't tip it over backwards or break an axle, so it was all good, and it was only when we got to the top that Dad realized that while everything was locked and in low range, the centre diff wasn't turned on so we went up in "sort of" 4wd....oh well, that makes it a bit more challenging.
So when we got to the top, we jumped out and left the big silver donkey to catch its breath while we wandered down to GZ and made the find.
So with names scribbled in the book, we took off in a cloud of dust to find some phone service.

Found it a little while ago on a great 4x4 trip into Otools. TFTC

Loved the find, near a nice steep hill which we managed to get up. Cut my leg on a plant though.

Look out for motor bikes we nearly collected two of them

great track to get up. TFTC
