After a DNF on this trad dot day I made my way here to search for this one. Hadnt attempted this one before due to a number of DNFs. Spotted the corrected coordinates in a past log and made a quick easy find here. Read the hint and STOP before venturing too far off the road to the posted coordinates. I used the following coords S 045 31.136' E 170 41.841'For an easy find. Does need some TLC but it was nice and dry today. Thanks for the cache, karobe5#6261
The outside is container is damaged. Not sure it can be easily replaced but needs attention, as very close to fall into pieces. Great idea. Probably needs an update in the coordinates as well, see logs.Anyone trying this cache should be very gentle.
We looked for ever to search in the wrong area. The container was 20m away, we followed the GPS and geocaching trail, but then read logs and found corrected coords. Nice container, the logbook was soggy in his bag, someone added a new logbook and bag. We placed it in a double pill container, that we got at the mega event. The outside container is broken, but log should be safe.
We started looking at the wrong spot, but found it by looking at the logs and corrected coordinates, 20m away. TFTC

Dropped a TB here after spending a short time searching for this one, found a correct set of coords in the logs so added those to our GPS to help for a quicker find.

The coordinates posted a few logs down are spot on, and it was a quick find with some creative thinking. Great cache!
First I started going thru blackberry to GZ and put hand in gorse as checking round pole. Then moved over trying others. Read logs and spotted a co ords noted to try. Changed to them and straight to the cache. A very clever hide. Thanks for the cache karobe5.
Found it yah. Had a look at the newish pole where the phone took me too. No definitely not there.
Read back a few logs and found some correct cordinates. They worked a charm

This was my second time looking for this one. Spent a bit of time looking but couldn't locate it. Then the rain came in and off I went in search of another cache.
After a couple of very wet days in Dunedin, StreetWalkerNZ and I woke to a glimpse of blue sky and sun but with more rain predicted, we started early to make the most of the good weather on our drive north to Moeraki. It had started raining quite steadily when we reached Karitane, but the further north we drove, the drier it got.
The nearby ford looked rather impassable with all the rain of the past few days. The co-ords seemed a bit out here, but cache was found in the obvious place. TFTC.

#19186. Quick park and grab. Glad we didn't need to go through the ford. TFTC.
Another day doing the caching rounds. Decided to stick a bit closer to where we are staying today and try to clean this area up.
Was checking the most obvious spots with no luck when it was spotted in another less used spot. Good hide but we used co-ords provided in a previous log to find it. tftc

A day trip to find some caches, place new ones and maintain some caches around Oamaru. Got a phone call not long into the trip from MinionOne who asked for a ride home from Kurow, so a bit of a change of direction but carried on caching around this lovely part of the country.
No luck with this one. Looks like a new pole has been placed here.

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Day 12 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
Today's plan was to drive from Timaru down to Dunedin, following the coast but with plenty of side trips to get caches targeted as per above. I have been so lucky to have dry conditions my whole trip so far, with the sun really putting in an effort to convince me it wasn't winter! I didn't mind the chilly starts knowing that the rest of the day was going to be great caching conditions.
Parking up on the side of the road, I was able to walk over to GZ to conduct my search. But after a few minutes I had had no luck finding it. Looking back through older log I realised why and once I had walked back over to where the cache is actually hidden (S 45° 31.136 E 170° 41.841) then I had no problems finding the cache. A quick sign of the log and I was back on my way again.
Thanks for placing this Cache.

Eleventh day of a two week motorhome excursion, heading via the Coast to the l ower South Island, picking up a few caches along the way – 14 today. Travelling from The Catlins to Moeraki today. Didn’t take too long to find this one, but the coords provided in the log in July 2019 were crucial to doing so! #3391. TFTC.

I started my great and unique round trip over the South Island in Christchurch.
My first major stopover was at Lake Tapeko - here I hiked up to Observation Mountain.
I then planned two days in Mount Cook NP with some unforgettable hikes. My big goal was the Mueller Hut - on a super strenuous hike I reached it.
I continued my journey over the lonely Danseys Pass to Dunedin.
Afterwards I drove along the Southern Scienic Route via Invercargill to Manapouri for some days. On this route I visited many sights and enjoyed the beautiful nature again and again.
I already booked a tour to the Doubtful Sound in advance - another highlight on my tour.
Afterwards I drove on to Queensown and Wanaka. From there I continued over the Haast Pass to the lonely Jackson Bay with storm and heavy rain. Afterwards I drove along the west coast always in pouring rain.
The rain stopped the whole west coast, but I had good rainwear with me. Only high up in Nelson the sun shone again.
Soon I reached the east coast again in Picton and Blenheim and the sun was shining again.
After a few days I travelled back to Christchurch via the beautiful town of Kaikoura.
At the end of my round trip I spent a few more days in Christchurch and its surroundings.
I visited many geological sites and found many caches on my round trip. In Rangiora I visited an event.
I travelled 3418 km and take home a lot of positive experiences.
Thanks to many beautiful caches I was also shown unique locations, historical sites and geological features.
I am overwhelmed by the fantastic and ever changing nature on the South Island of New Zealand - I will definitely come back.
Many thanks to all owners

Thanks on my way up to the Naseby 12 hour bike race. I’m just support for the race and will volunteer. My youngest son, husband and brother are in the team.
A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 13 Dunedin to Herbert Forest 25 caches. All targets have been met. Yep I looked in the wrong place and after reading previous logs I was able to find it. Thank you for the placement

Following the advice of previous logs and ignoring the posted cord i went straight for the place the hint alluded to but with no luck. It was when nyochi was searching in another location and turned to look where i had given up, from a different angle that she laughed and the cache was found. Clever lol.
Pulled off at the corner of Patersons Rd, out of the car and scrambled over to GZ... how odd, nothing obvious here... back and forth a bit but where on earth could something be hidden here? Check of past logs, aha, seems the coordinates are 16 metes out. So, walked over towards road keeping an eye on the GPS to see where 16 m away was.
And just then a car turned off the main road, driver rolled down the window and asked if I was looking for something...! Yes, he knew the cache owner and he passed over a helpful hint. And we then had a bit of a chat, because we had both been at the funeral for Big Smoke earlier that afternoon. She did have such a gift for getting on with people; she will be sadly missed.
Coordinates are S45 31.136 E170 41.841
karobe5, a the cache owner you can correct the coordinates with a log note. Choose the log type "Correct coordinates" and enter the coordinates in the fields underneath.

Third time lucky for this one. And yes it is off by quite a bit. Very cunning hide tho. TFTC
Papa and Guwapo on a road trip. First a good look at the published coordinates but no joy. A read of the hint and logs had us quite a few metres away. It was then a quick find by Papa. Salamat
Cool wee hide here. Such a lovely little place with the water trickling by. Stealth was lacking unfortunately, as I put the cache back a huge spider landed on my arm and I lost the plot lol.
Nicely hidden. As i was taking a photo, i heard an almighty scream from the wife, something about being attacked by a spider that ive yet to see.
Struggled with this one at first. Then we read some logs and were headed closer to our vehicle, when a local resident drove across the flooded causeway to collect the mail. It turned out that she was also related to the CO and was happy to give a bit of advice. Our GPS said we were 16 metres off the mark when we found the cache. We then chatted for a while before going on or way.
Greetings from a couple of Aussies who are touring New Zealand and appreciate a fine day for a change. Many thanks to karobe5 for putting this cache into play.

In the area for the geofest...after some FTF fun we decided to return to the original plan which was to head to Dunedin whilst stopping for some high favourited caches along the way...we were not disappointed!!
It was raining and bitterly cold in the wind so we were hoping it would not take too long to locate. The guys in the team headed one way but I had read some logs and realised that it may not be quite there....after that the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

The last day of our geocaching adventure with team SEAC 17 in Oamaru for the Geofest. had a great time during the weekend and saw some great sights around Danseys Pass, through the lakes and the clay cliffs of Omarama and of course the funky Steam punk and historic buildings around Oamaru. Who knew this gem of an area was tucked away in the South Island!
On our way back to Dunedin today to catch our flight back to Auckland and decided to target highly favourited caches only as we had limited time. this one had us 20m out as per the GPS, but the hint made sense if you looked from the right angle. TFTC!

I am taking great pleasure in logging this one! We spent ages looking for it a few months ago with no luck and it's annoyed me every time I've driven past. This time we read the other logs and kept an open mind and I was signing the log in less than a minute. I might even give this one a favorite point!

Today we decided on a multi-day tour, after stopping at Omarama today continues to Dunedin, scenic road we will stop on the lakes that meet
Dunedin is back in Chch, stopping to pick up some cache
Greetings from Italy

My first visit. My GPSr only show the last 10 logs so I missed some vital information in earlier logs that would have helped. It was drizzling despite the sunny day in Dunedin so I didn't widen my search much. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time.
Enjoying a great trip with tmann421 collecting caches along the way and getting to see some remote locations.

The last time we visited New Zealand in 1998, we missed the Milford Sound because of lack of time.
Now, as W is working in Sydney and C is visiting him, it was very close by.
So we decided to turn her visit into a small New Zealand vacation.
And off course this can't be done without a few geocaches.
A few turned into about 150 of them.
We started in Queenstown, but this time no bungy jumping anymore.
At the airport we switched the gsm-card to a NZ one, with internet access.
That way we would be able to check for recent logs and spoiler photos.
After we got our rental car we started the gps.
We're not used to driving on the left side of the road, but that was no problem with all the road signs.
During our last visit it was summer, now it was autumn.
The weather looked more like home, but we had our umbrella and raincoat with us, which we used a lot.
At the Milford Sound the rain was an advantage, as the rainfalls were huge.
On our way to the boulders we took the scenic road and there was time to look for some caches.
This was one of them.
We almost marked this as not-found when all of a sudden we spotted the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Searched for a while. Grass has been sprayed. Huge blackberry patch, maybe next time ....
Jess.daphne and I were on a road trip back to Christchurch and what better way to spend some time than hunting for a cache or two? This one was a bit tricksy. The gps location pointed at a very prickly and unlikely spot. After a bit of searching I turned around and spotted something. Can that be it? Huh, it sure is! Tftc.
Traveling South with Injeanious from Chch to Dunedin for a weekend visit. We found the most caches in one day ever, for us going down, then did even better on the return trip heading back up State Highway 1. GPS co-ordinates a wee bit out. TFTC!!
Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too.
