We are in Jeparit to visit family and took the opportunity for a nice walk along the river, with some caching on the way.A clever hide which we have utilised, so we found it pretty easily. Thanks for the cache ceebee2013.
Classic example as to why one should read the full description, not just the first bit After doing everything I was told not to, I found the cache in great condition.
Mr Riddell found this one quickly ( another nice quick park and grab) earlier today. We have left Jeparit now and Mrs Riddell is still catching up with the logging of this one.Another nice location, at the riverside.TFTC
Chasing down the Adventure Lab when we hit a closed road, fortunately there was light at the end of the tunnel and another cache to find
Out with frmen1 for a post dinner drive. Such a lovely spot-the recent rains certainly help to keep everything flowing and growing. A few birds around too. TFTC
What a great spot.Found quickly and in good condition with tassie expat while exploring this interesting area.
TFTC ceebee2013 your cache Wimmera River View that we found today we made our way south for Christmas. WWE camped overnight at Lake Lascelles, Hopetoun. A lovely spot by the lake. We decided to stay a second night so today we could finish of the Silo Art Trail we started yesterday as well as some other caches in the Rainbow and Jeparit area. A lovely few hours in the sunshine. A good excuse to give the geo-car a good run. All caches attempted were found in good order.Find Count: 17318
While in Jeparit this afternoon, we took the opportunity to look for three other caches. This was another of them.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks nom234 for the cache.

I'm sure we had the right spot but our magnetic tool didn't allow us to pick up the cache. Never mind, if we're around this way again we'll make sure we have the right gadget.
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks nom234 (F=138 H=15) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

I think that last time I was here was B.C., before caching. Great to see some water around. Thanks for the cache.
Not sure but I don't think that I have ever been here so not sure if this is the average water level. At least there is some which I suppose is a bonus compared to some waterways that we have seen lately. Thank you for placing this cache for us to find.
Found on the way to Wyperfeld NP, to spend a weekend 4WDing with our caching friends.
We met up with Posums at this cache. He was exploring Jeparit in the reverse direction to us, so it was a quick hello as we would be meeting later on at camp. Thanks for the Drive Thru service Posums. And TFTC nom234.

Finally off on my 4 day weekend away to catch up with some fellow cachers and good friends around Wyperfeld National Park.
I headed up the Calder, turned west at Charlton and meandaring around the back roads to get to my destination for the night which is Lake Albacutya.
The weather is not being so kind to me today so it is a quick run and hopefully find and get back to the Geocruiser and on to the next one kind of day.
After visiting Rainbow I was heading towards Lake Albacutya but instead of turning right I turned left and decided to do a loop of Lake Hindmarsh as I had plenty of time.
I have made it half way around the lake to Jeparit and it was an enjoyable drive.
I remember staying in Jeparit in the late 60’s early 70’s on a family caravan trip but that is about all I can remember of the town.
Made my way to this one and as I was extracting the cache a car pulled up behind me and beeped it’s horn.
It scared the bejesus out of me so thanks ChooknChunk for taking a couple of years off a my life.
Thanks nom234 TFTC.

Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather. With the van in tow we didn't try and stop as we travelled.
We headed for Brim and spent 3 nights there at the lovely community camp and collected some caches in a couple of loops from there.

Quick find here on a morning walk from the caravan park. School holidays means a road trip with the geofamily! This time we decided to explore the Wimmera Mallee to see some of this vast amazing state!
Cleverly hidden cache that broke up our drive. Lovely spot by the river. TFTC
It’s not often I’d say this, but the tool I have seemed to be inadequate in this situation. Wasn’t long enough.
Was planning to do this series of caches as a lovely walk along the river, but got very lazy and used the car today. I love the Wimmera and have a least done this walk a couple of times before I became a cacher. Sneaky cache, but have found a couple like this before, so went straight to it. TFTC.

Heading to a couple of events in Murray Sunset NP, swung by to grab the caches in Jeparit.
A nice part of the river especially on this beautiful afternoon.
A somewhat exposed hide but very few people around at least that I could see.
Thanks nom234

Thanks for the great spot nom234.
Thanks for the great spot nom234.
Found on a three day caching wander with AussieM&M!!!! We centred our searches in the Ararat area but ventured further afield when some of our planned caches were either disabled or on very slushy dirt roads. Very cold and plenty of rain ….. although we seemed to dodge the worse of it!!! Easily located …. nice spot!!
A nice easy find here. We did need to use an extraction tool. Thanks for the hide.
Not sure about the difficulty rating, I walked straight to this one and in no time Pa had handed me the cache. Log was quickly signed and cache returned to its hidey hole. TFTC SL
There were five muggles at the house only about 20m from GZ when I arrived so I duly kept going. Returning after a cup of tea they had all gone and I was left to make the find.
Found as part of the SAW STUFF secret men's business weekend. Southern Cross Caching, Astro ,Waldron, Shonky Logic, The White Dog Gang, Uni, Four Fun and Freddo.
We came, we cached, we cycled and we left. Thanks for your cache placement and my apologies for the generic logs in most situations as we found hundreds

Cheers and Happy Hunting

This weekend had been earmarked for some adventurous exploits in the Big Desert National Park with Jacko83, aiming to find a few relatively remote caches. Along the way we explored some of the smaller country towns, discovered interesting locations... and found a few caches !
After a hearty Friday night pub meal in Nhill, we were out caching again in wet and muddy conditions when we got to GZ here (we ended up caching till 1am).
We tackled these caches along the Wimmera River with a combination of driving/walking/driving. After a DNF at the Swimming Hole we were glad to make the find here. Unfortunately no clear river view for us this time, as "It was a dark and stormy night..."!
Thanks, nom234.

Again nom234, you had excellent co ords enabling me to find this cache very quickly. Amazing what one can do with a couple of sticks! TFTH
Great view. Great weather and a great cache.
Thanks to nom234 and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^]

After grabbing a tool from the car we soon had the cache in our hands.
Thanks nom234 for the hide and showing us the river.

Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. We'll grab every opportunity to grab a cache. This was a quick find.
Thanks nom234 FTC.

Certainly nice views along the river from here, the cache was located after a short search in the obvious spot, thanks nom234 for the hide.
A nice quick find here, and thanks for the river view.. people were out and about enjoying the water (fishing??).
Found 20 June with TKJL. Could not log previously. Not sure why. TFTC. Nice spot.

Find # 2372 @ 1355 H
I decided at a good road trip was in order, after having a look over the map I decided on heading up this way for a gander at the goods.
The temp looked like it was going to be ok for the day and it look like all the rain had passed from the late week deluge we had around town (St.Arnaud)
By the end of the day I had racked up 28 finds, No DNFs and almost 550ks under my bum.
These 4 Trads in town were all quick grab owing to the fact that they were all muggle free and smack on cords also made them quick.
As I got this one back in its hide I could hear a car coming up behind, I just hope they didn't see what I was up too.

17/07/2015 - 12.45pm - Cache No. 444 - 2nd for the day. I like short walks from where I am & need to be sometimes & this was very handy too. Glad dad (ooops! ... dgfb33) put this one out for you to mind. The brisk mid-winter wind may have kept muggles away because I didn't see any. I was a bit concerned the "breeze" might take my hat into the river but luckily that didn't happen! Thanks for the cache. Staying in Jeparit for a special occasion with dgfb33, geogran1937 & non-geo youngers & really youngers.
Found with geokid1 on a cache run to Jeparit while staying in Warrack over Easter. A nice view of the river, unfortunately we didn't have time to walk along it today. Our geocaching bag has the tool required, although we hardly needed it, not sure if it's been modified to allow for fingers to get to it? A great hide. TFTC nom234 and for bringing us here.
on the way to Rainbow for our annual dirt bike ride , was good to have a guided tour of the area - tftc nom234
Found on the weekend attack on Mexican caches by a couple of Kiwis and a couple of Aussies, surprisingly there were no slayings although we talked a lot about maniacal murders along the way.
One of the half dozen or so we found while passing through the area.
Thanks for the cache nom234.

Found on a fantastic weekend away with Moneydork (Hero Husband), Locus Cache and Sushilord. It was not a quiet trip but oh so worth it! Lots of caching, lots of laughter and finally some sleep thrown in when we just couldn't carry on!
Thanks for your cache and helping make our weekend so great.
Thanks for your cache and helping make our weekend so great.
After being offered a weekend caching to and from Ballarat with Tounga and Moneydork, how could I refuse[?]
Sushilord joined us too and for 3 days we laughed and cached and laughed and cached until we could cache no more. [|)]
As for the topics of conversation, apparently mirth, maniacal murder and mayhem were the common themes for the weekend along with a few other topics
My total for a great weekend was 1 event attended in Ballarat , 113 cache finds 7 DNFs and a FTF as I wound my way home, alone, in the early morning
Amazing to look at this area on Google Earth and see how the river flows through twists and turns and yet did not appear that way when we looked at it from our caching vantage points.
Thanks to your dad for the cache

JOINT FTF with Speedmistress. You can be happy with the cache co-ords as our GPS told us that we were within 1meter of GZ. Good enough for us. We were very surprised to find that we were the FTF on this cache. Thanks for showing us another view of the river. SL TFTC

Not happy with the original co-ordinates even though we checked it with 3 separate GPSs. They just jump around so much in this spot I decided to use Google Earth to set the co-ordinates this time.
