Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache insert cache name has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page†and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks,
embi

Ditto to the Wanderer's comment. We put the nuts and bolts together. You guys made it run as well as it did. And didn't it run. Smile I'm looking forward to participating in the 2nd Cache picnic....

Maybe this should be a twice a year event. Then its not always in winter?? I'll start a post on the Aussie Forums.

What a brilliant day! Superb work by Embi & Wanderers in organising this event. Fabulous location, great company and a fun couple of hours wandering around in the bush... what more could you ask for? OK, so the Magellans were trounced by Garmins... looking forward to the rematch!

We all had a terrific day, thanks to a great location and brilliant organisation by Mark, Darren, Mike and Betty. The hard work and meticulous planning certainly paid off, and the presentation ceremony and the awards donated by Garmin and Magellan were the icing on the cake. Let us hope that this event can become an annual blockbuster fixture on the Victorian GeoCaching calendar.
Thanks for the great day out,
Dashing Dog Mac, Wonder Dog Rex, Ian, Patrizia, Gerry and Carol.

Thanks all for a great time. I'd only ever met one geocacher before, so it was great to put a face to so many names! Thanks to the organisers - we had a great time. Also many thanks to Darren who lent me his GPS while mine was playing up!

A wonderful day indeed. Fabulous to finally meet all those other teams and chat about common interests. Even though the satellite gremlins struck us with a vengeance, we still enjoyed ourselves immensely and really look forward to the next get-together. Congratulations to Dashing Dog Mac for winning the trophy, and to runners up Quasar and Team Frogger. Finally, sincere thanks to Mark, Darren, Mike and Betty for having the idea and for taking the time and effort to set things up.
