Needs maintenance as may have been muggled. Will try to get fixed when I am there next.
This was an opportunistic find for SirJ-Oz, Muggle-L and myself during our sojourn to the Wangaratta Mega. It took a bit of hunting around before the cache was in hand, this one seems more like a small than a regular in size which may have added to the confusion.
There was a small amount of water in the container and the old logs were sodden but the current one was dry in its bag. Thanks for the cache deduce&elementary.

Find #5105. Found @ 15:29 with AmethystPig and Muggle-L
Caching in Wangaratta on not so secret Mega activities. Trying to find many types in a day it was a day of unfocused traveling back and forth around the place seeking finds.
Since we were in the general area, we came here to make another find. AmethystPig made the find in an area that Muggle-L had already checked.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

Found by AmethystPig, I was at GZ first but got distracted by a lizard, SirJ-Oz completed the search team, log was a bit soggy. TFTC
Found with trampled, Sophiescout and Jemalong and family while looking at the dredge. Unfortunately plans mean that we will miss the event this afternoon, coming from Canberra and Melbourne (different teams). Tftc
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Took a little while to spot as we expected something quite a bit bigger. Once spotted it was a quick matter to sign and replace. TFTC
Off to an event in Eldorado, all about attending another even bigger event in Wangaratta in 5 months[:X][^]
Somehow one thing led to another and another and another and Rex and I did not get home until 2 days later[|)]: after having spent 1 night in Wangaratta in CSI Headquarters' drive way[^] and then 1 night in Albury at my former colleague's house, where Rex and Ella got up to their usual doggy mischief[:X][:X][^]
Rex and I ended up with 13 found caches and the 1 event attended as well as completing a few adventure labs in both Wang and Albury[^] and boy did we have some fun[^][:X] and laughs[^] in between all of those finds![:o)]
Interesting spot to get into[?] and Rex had a good run[^] as hembee and I drove in
While hembee and I started looking for the cache, another geovehicle pulled up and Mr and Mrs Riddell got out to join in the find [^]

Found with Locus Cache and Riddell. We had all attended the Eldorado event and found a few around the area after.

After the event I tried for a few of the accessible caches around Eldorado - will be back for the more strenuous ones on a slightly warmer (and hopefully drier) day.
Last one on the way out if Eldorado. Which stump was really the only question. Of course the last I looked in but doggy log signed.

Rather soggy log as container was placed upside down. Should be more waterproof upright now.
Final cache for the day. Met a couple of other caching teams just finishing up with this one.
The log was quite damp and I was tearing holes in it trying to write on it. I’ve replaced the log now and added a zip lock bag to give it some more armor.

I was wondering why I was having such trouble honing in on such a simple hide in fairly open space with good reception.
I found out later that the "auto rotate" function on my phone was switched on making it's GPSr misbehave.
Doh! [:o]
Still, a great spot to stop and enjoy a tailgate lunch with caching friends on our first little adventure together. [^]

The log was found wet, but dried out nicely by the time I had signed and returned it after a bit of a feed. [8)]

Stopped in Centennial park for picnic lunch in the shade and find a cache amongst the tall weeds. TFTC
This cache container has certainly shrunk!!! A quick find at GZ then back to watch the tennis while eating lunch! TFTC
Managed to find it in the dark with my dog it was a bit creepy but it was really fun

Eldorado has been on my must visit agin list for some time as the landscape is so different from home. Steeped in history and at this time. Of year it’s really attractive with abundant spring growth. A tad wet but not so bad further west away from the mountains. Found a plastic bag and that’s it. Needs a container TFTC

On my way south for the last events of the Oceania Orienteering Champs, I took some time to find a few caches on the way. A small detour and an easy find. TFTC.

We are all the way from the West Goldfields Kalgoorlie-Boulder! It was so nice to see a little Gold History and think they are going back to this kind of set up underground as mines get too deep to run trucks. I loved the walk and the efforts by the historical society. This Geo is in a fabulous position. Thank you for bringing us here!
Thanks D&E for showing us this area. Will have to come back at the right time of year and search for some Maratus spiders.
Great hiding location, have been through this area running and never walked to the top of the ride. Thank-you
#2133 On a warm afternoon we headed Eldorado way in the hope of finding a cache. Wasn't quite sure where the best entry point would be so we studied the aerial image. With a path worked out, it wasn't the stumps on the rise today, it was the grass! After good Winter rains the grass is headed for the skies. A nervous walk in but we made enough noise to scare away any slithering thingies. A quick find once at gz - TFTC deduce&elementary.
Good find on an a fantastic afternoon in a great location. Thanks for the cache.
Dropped of TB Hortense the Hippopotamus to start her journey.

Found this morning with some family members as we picked up a few caches around town, the cache was soon located thanks to many sets of eyes, thanks deduce&elementary for the hide.
Out for a drive on a warm day, after catch up with geo family in Wangaratta for the night. Tried to make this find after visiting the nearby dredge. After a few attempts to get closer we eventually found a way to drive up nice and close and took in a differnt perspective of the dredge. Thanks for the hide.
Thanks deduce&elementary for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

After spending some time at the dredge, we headed here through what looked like the best way on the GPS map. Getting caught in bush that we weren't too keen on walking through on a hot day, we backtracked and found a better way in. Thanks for bringing us here and for the hide. We enjoyed our caching tour around El Dorado.
TFTC. Found after visiting the Dredge. A lovely Spring day to go exploring and finding a few caches as well. There was Prickly Pear as we travelled into GZ, but in the immediate vicinity it was all clear.
Found after visiting the Eldorado Dredge. Arrived without my "KIT", but managed to sign the log and leave a calling card.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

#3337 - 14:25; On a caching run around the Beechworth area with fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune including a couple of sections of the rail trail to Wangaratta. Once the trail sections were done, we headed for El Dorado for what looked like being an interesting hour or so. We probably should have walked around to this one from the dredge, but we drove quite close before a short walk and a quick find and sign. Dropped a TB for the next finder. TFTC deduce&elementary
I had done the nearby earth cache some time back but had never explored the track to this one. Not much prickly pear around the cache area thankfully. Definitely not my favourite plant TFTC deduce&elementary
Grabbed with fitzy_1965 and LuckyL10n on another trip to this great area.....
Yep, a few stumps on the rise ok. Didn't find the road in til we arrived there, but the walk from the nearby locked gate was worth the small extra distance. Log was signed and we were off to the next one.

9582 + 1078 = 10660. Found during a trip down to the Beechworth region with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n.
After finishing a big chunk of the E2W and MMRT series we headed up to Eldorado for a few more caches. After visiting the nearby Earthcache we headed over for this one. Hmm - lots of stumps on the Rise. Eeny Meeny Miny Mo - I think it was in Mo. Signed, returned and we were on our way to the next one.
Thanks deduce&elementary !
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

Dragons and Bears are staying for a while in Eldorado during school holidays. Today's plan was to explore around Eldorado a bit, and grab a few caches in the process. We had just visited the nearby earthcache, and found our way around to the end of the walking/cycling trail to this area. Amongst the prickly pear (actually a bit sparse here compared with some other localities in the area) we were able to quickly grab this one. The cache is in good condition and still contains some of the Halloween items. Took hand clappers and left a suitable spider. SL.

A quick park and grab in the kind of place you woulnt know existed if not for caching. Tftc.
I thought I would try and dredge up one more cache for the day in Eldorado
Yesterday I had tried to find this cache via that very route, but in the hot afternoon heat, lost interest in strolling around.
I did enjoy a return visit to the big tin shed in the lake though
Today I was back, but approached via a different route
Which provided a short stroll to the rise
I could see the stumps ahead and began me run up ...
... maybe a 'googly' was in order
Oh clean bowled !!
Amongst the wreckage of the stumps I soon found the cache and put the bails back where they should be
TFTC.
PS: I found out that the cache is also accessible from where I tried to dredge it up yesterday
Just follow the brand new bike path

Rode part of the rail trail this morning and finished near this cache. No tennis players here today. In fact, the only things around were the stumps (oh, and some prickly pear!). A short walk and a quick find.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
# 7289. My 2nd day of caching this year. Got 3 today, making a grand total of 5 for the year so far.....a slow start, that's for sure!
The word "stumps" I associate with cricket mainly and the words "Prickly Pear" with prickles so for a long time I have been quite confused about this cache. It certainly was not in the area I had in mind. Oh, those stumps, and only a tiny piece of prickly pear seen today. TNLN.
Thanks deduce&elementary

Mr Tardis, Mini Tardis and muggle cousin were out for a drive north of Wang today to grab a few caches. We stopped here for a nice short walk and to find a spooky cache.
We found the cache in the first place we searched - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache deduce&elementary

We stopped nearby to look at the old dredge and, obviously, decided to find a couple of nearby caches. Even though it was a nice day we drove around to the northern end near the sports ground before walking the last few hundred metres to the GZ. Easy find.

Last one for the day, and what a beaut spring day it's been to be out and about for caching.
Had wondered around the dredge site first before making my way here to find the cache.

Out and about on Father's Day with Ava from beaver. On our way to Beechworth for lunch, but detoured to find this one. Mrs Harrowang's brother and family used to live on Dobson Street. As we neared the GZ we saw another family on the path - good to meet you Hmmm3683. A pretty area for a stroll and the cache was found easily. SL at 12.29pm Took: game Left: owl. #2330 A good effort for your first cache hide deduce&elementary.
I, Ava, was out with my grandparents, harrowang on our way to Beechworth for lunch. We stopped in Eldorado on our way and found this new cache. We parked our car at the end of the road and walked across the paddocks. On our way we met another caching family, Hmmm3683, who were just leaving from finding the cache. There were lots of Halloween swaps to choose from. I took a game and harrowang left an owl. TFTC deduce&elementary. #142 for beaver.
What a trip! First I visited a trade show in Shanghai, China and then another one in Wellington, New Zealand. I was lucky to the weekend in between to travel the North Island and hunt some caches. The next (business) stage would be in Sydney but I did not want to fail to see good friends from Germany that live in Wangaratta, so I gave it a little detour – from Wellington to Melbourne by plane and then from Melbourne via Wangaratta to Sydney by car.
When I set off the next morning, I just checked for special caches, meaning Earth or virtual caches or caches with many favpoints or new ones. To my surprise, there were both earth caches and this new one nearby. So I drove up to Eldorado and reached the park around 09:50.
The stumps were found quickly and following that the box too. But what was this? A lookbook with an entry that was four month old already? I was a bit confused until I realized that the cache name given in the book was slightly different. So I thought about a re-used book and in my confusion I forgot to note down time and date of my find. Sorry to confuse my follow on finder, Bingley3683.
He must have arrived shortly after me and thus the confusion carried on. Pitty, we have not met! Would have been nice to make a new contact "down under" and a team FTF . Best regards!
I still contacted the owner to seek clarification. He explained about the naming issue and that the three kids were non-cachers that had performed a beta so to speak. Thanks again for that and for the nice cache!
TFTC Kuschelchen, with greetings from Germany
PS no worry about Lucinda's Smurf Trackable, it's already been to Sydney and Hong Kong now and has now safely arrived in Germany. It just took me some time to catch up with my logs. Next country to go to is the US…

Found at 10.28am. Possibly FTF as the 2 earlier logs had no date, maybe they were found before publication? Nice walk from the dredge carpark. No sign of the trackable, unfortunately. Funny that this one was placed in April and published in September! TFTC
Hope you enjoy finding this cache. We had a great time making it. Please move the trackable along. There is a survival bracelet for the first to find.
