This took us longer than it should have. Once we had spotted the cache we were determined to open it. It took a while and once we figured it out, the rest came quickly. This reminded me of the Roy Merc series of caches in Denmark Western Australia. TFTC the favourite is well deserved.

08-Aug-23
We were visiting the nearby pub and thought we would stop for a quick cache. Brains weren't working to well so after a bite to eat and a read of the previous logs we went back and soon had the money box issued solved, unfortunately it doesn't take credit cards. thanks for the tricky cache. TB put in

12-Jul-23
Staying the night in the camper at The Honest Lawyer.
This is a great cache. The owner needs to be congratulated for the effort put into it. Had my hand on it before I realized what it was. Then took a bit to work out how to open. Gets a favorite from me

01-Jul-23
A lot of skill went into this hide. Didn't want to take the obvious route as that was labelled as off limits but made my way to GZ eventually and saw what i was sure was the hide but still took a wee while to ensure it was. Finally the penny dropped (pun intended) and I had access to the log. A lot of effort went into this cache hide and I am adding another FP as it is well deserving. Haven't seen anything like it. Thank you so much Kiwi-Nomad! It turns out this was the last find I could make in the area becasue GAR had finished for the day with his dog trial and we had other things organised, and, as the weather conditions worsened overnight and affecting ferry crossings, we ended up cutting our road trip short. Upset that my caching plans had to go out the window.

18-Jun-23
Missed a vital piece for ages but once found everything came I to place. Another great cache Smile. Thanks for the cache.

10-May-23
Over the hill today to pick up some highly favourited hides. And, despite the recent couple of days of heavy rain, it was a pleasant drive over and not a drop of rain as I geo-cycle-m-version 2-ed the 24km loop. This was the third one. Easy find but took way too long to click onto how to open it. Very well put together.

21-Apr-23
Okay, wow, they just keep getting better! Bad to do all the touchy feely to get this one! (I do wish it didn't smell so bad around here though lol) Marvelous work!!! You must have a great shop!

Left a coin behind for the next cacher!!

Yay! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache Thanks for being part of the adventure!

16-Jan-23
AliGle and I were traveling around the middle and upper South Island, with the main focus being the completion of the PWGT3 and PWGT4 GeoTours, but we found a few other caches along the way. Took a look for this one on our way out of Nelson. Arrived at GZ to find access blocked off from below, but realised we could easily access from above through the bush. Quickly spotted the housing of the cache and worked out how to get the cache... very cool indeed! TFTC, fav point added!

03-Dec-22
Tftc awesome cache! There is works happening in the area but we came after hours and you can access it from the footpath easy enough!

10-Oct-22
Easily the coolest cache I've found. TFTF!

04-Oct-22
Wow! Now this really is something special! The best one I’ve ever found. I was out with the kids these school holidays & it was cool for them to see how much effort a fellow geocacher went, in terms of creating something amazing for other people to find!! We examined it closely, and with the hint in mind noticed something a bit different. We fidgeted around, gave it a pull & did a happy dance. SL & placed back as found. Kiwi-nomad, you are the McGyver of geocache hides. If I ever get to meet you, I will buy you a beer. Here, have another FP! TFTC Smile

found with kjj162. well, the barriers have been up here for ages I've been waiting to get back here to have another go at this one as having been here before with no luck. after seeing a couple of logged finds here in the recent few weeks I decided I'm not going to wait anymore and went for it today and had it open within 60 seconds i don't know how i missed it before. a well crafted cache. tftc

18-Sep-22
Let’s play real life uncharted to look for collectables in unauthorised locations hah! This has a barrier currently so enter with caution. What an amazing piece of engineering. First visit, didn’t have a tool. Second trip, forgot pen. Third times a charm! Tftc, on a Mish to find some others from this cache hero!

16-Aug-22

20-Apr-22
Last one for the day. I felt uncomfortable in this area waiting for Nosynel to figure it out.

20-Apr-22
We found this geocache on a bike ride around the from Tahuna to Richmond using our EBikes. This was our last find. A very clever concept in a rather smelly place. There wasn't a geocaching sticker on the contraption so I was unsure if I was at the right place. It looks like it is part of the plant. After reassurance from a friend via fbpm I continued to explore how to open it. JD was loosing patience but I persevered. I thought it was very clever.

Thanks for hiding this cache Kiwi-Nomad I appreciate it.

13-Mar-22
Best cache I have found yet

10-Feb-22
Nice quick find, thanks for the effort.

08-Jan-22
Saw all the favourites and on first inspection had absolutely no idea. A message to the engineer in the family didn't help but did send me back to have another look & discovered something I'd initially missed. Pleased I managed to sort it out myself. Favourite added. TFTC

24-Dec-21
Took me far too long to figure that one out. Great work

The last time I was here there was a van parked so close I could almost touch it, so I looked for a few seconds, then left.
Today was Sunday, so I came by to find a much quieter GZ. After a quick search, I figured it out and had the cache in my hand. TFTC.

Awesome cache..easy solve as I am on your wave length love your engineering skills...you must have way too much time 0n your hands..thanks kiwi-nomad..this is built like the proverbial brick outhouse and should stand the test of time ..

30-Mar-21
What a clever well engineered cache. It was quite clear we were at the correct spot. After careful checking it became clear what was required to open this. The mossies kept me on my toes as well as the rapidly deteriorating weather. Thanks for another great hide kiwi-nomad

31-Dec-20
While visiting family we decided to go to the founders museum and as I have been itching to ride a bike around here, suddenly the family thought I should bike home from there to Wakefield. I thought why not, and jumped on the borrowed ebike and off I was.
Was having so much fun, I'd forgot about finding caches until I got to the airport, so I checked the map.
The first one I come to was this one and what do you know, its got plenty of fav points so the perfect one to start with.
Didn't take me too long to work it out. Luckily I had a tool kit on the bike.
What an amazing contraption. Fav from me too.
Tftc

On a trip to Nelson this weekend and staying close by so decided to take a walk in the evening sunshine and collect a few caches. When we arrived at gz we were slightly worried about the no entry signs but proceeded with caution.Found the item quickly enough but took us a while before we figured out what to do.Was very pleased we managed to crack it.Very very well made. Thanks for all the effort.A favourite point from us.

26-Feb-20
We are continuing our caching journey with AF-Bee, GeoWench78 and 6ftzp&1/2zip. We had left our Hokitika and are on our way to Picton. This cache was a lot of fun, we had the right idea, but it took us a little while to unlock the code. Thanks Kiwi-Nomad for the fun cache. This one gets a heart from us and I will be making one to place in the states.
