I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

It looks the cache has been buried. We will visit and reinstate somehow. Soon.

As previous DNF indicated, there has been recent earthworks at the cache site, see photo. Cache owner please check. Muggle sandflies were aplenty today lol.

I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.

I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic. Smile

Our GPS took us to the rock, but it had rather crudely been dug around by a machine and we suspect the cache got buried too. Hopefully the owner can check and clarify.

16-Mar-21
This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

17-Feb-21
We are heading to Pleasant Flat for a couple of nights before going further east. Towing a caravan means we have to be selective about which caches we choose to target. No problem here with a good size parking area.
Thank you Guzzi Riders.

16-Feb-21
While the rest of the country is wet and miserable we're heading south with a good long term forecast. We're hunting Tour caches and anything that's not slowing down our objective. We fuelled up at Allied 4km up the road from Haast toward Jackson to take advantage of better service and prices. After enjoying the excellent conveniences available for travellers in the township we pressed on and pulled over at the reserve at the Confluence. We read the info and said WOW. Took some pix signed the log and headed for Pleasant point that was going to be our base for a couple of days. Thank you Guzzi Riders

Luckily the cache was quickly found as one 1 micro muggle managed to land on me. Signed log in car and dashed out to replace the cache and take a few photos, without pausing to give them a chance to pounce again. Tftc

Tftc, thanks for the dry log book ,yes the little muggles are still here

I found this cache as a member of the team LaMaLaMa (now: Mr_Lama).
Since the team unfortunately split up, I am re-logging with my new account Lærry.

I hope you will understand.
Furthermore I thank you for hiding the many great caches!
Of course I will leave a favo to each cache where the original account did it. If I forget a cache, you are welcome to write to me.

Best wishes, Lærry

Fifth day of a two week motorhome excursion, heading via the Coast to the lower South Island, picking up a few caches along the way – eight today. En route from Haast to Wanaka at this stage. A reasonably quick find. The logbook was soaking and I barely managed to write my name. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to rectify the situation! #3338. TFTC.

I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #564.

Found on our way from Franz Josef to Wanaka on a beautiful sunny day. No hint provided, no hint needed. A nice quick find in a fabulous location. Thanks for placing this cache here. Have a favourite point for all the enjoyment.

**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**

Travelling and caching from Cromwell to the southern West Coast via Haast Pass. Another scenic spot along the way to park up and admire the view, and to find a cache. We enjoyed the expansive views of the joining of two rivers from GZ. No problems finding the cache too, thanks.

Volgende keer gaan we weer verder.

Today, we focus on the Haast pass between Hast and Makarora. The container was humid inside, we dried it, both container and logbook are in good condition.
A jet boat disturbed the area for a few seconds. We then enjoyed the confluence. Very nice view on both Valleys. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Berrydehamster and me are travelling in New Zealand for three weeks. We cross the country from north to south and back again by campervan, see a lot, do a lot, visit lots of places and meet a lot of people. It’s nice to be here and we have a great time.

As both of us are geocachers, we find a lot of caches on our travels. This is one of the caches we found. Thanks for your cache, Guzzi Riders, that helped give us a wonderful time here.

18-Nov-19
NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to New Zealand for 3 weeks. In Auckland we rent a camper. We start on the North island and driving to the south to make the crossing to the South island. Here we make a round and then take the boat back to the North Island. A long trip, but a very beautiful one! We do and see a lot on our way............
In addition to being a tourist, we are also going to cache along the way. The virtuals and earth caches are often on tourism places. If we have a long day of traveling, we stop for some caches.
It were great weeks!

A quick and easy find. Cheers

Easter holidays, and a road trip to Milford Sound. Time to start the trek home, via the West Coast. Off to Haast today, and again the weather started well on the East of the pass. Once we hit the West the rain started, and it sounds like it is set in for the rest of the day.

Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

On our way from Wanaka to Franz Josef, D4nielB and me took the time to look for some geocaches on our route.
We decided to take the risk (sandflies) and stopped here, too. The cache was a quick find and until we signed the logbook, there were no monsters at all attacking us. But then... we had to get back to the car very quickly.
Greetings from Hamburg, Germany.

During our holiday in New Zealand we have visited both the North and the South Island. We saw a lot of highlights of this beautiful country, but there is so much more to see. So many highlights, so many caches! The geocaches showed us a lot of special and interesting places. Sometimes a quick find, sometimes we had to search longer. A few DNF's, but that doesn't matter. We loved New Zealand and we hope to come back some day!

Today we have found the cache "The Confluence (West Coast)".

Guzzi Riders, thanks for creating and maintaining this cache!

Greetings from the Netherlands,

Karpfen in der Tasmanischen See sind eben doch was Besonderes.

Today we left Queenstown and drove to and along the west coast. The landscape was very different. From the ski areas of Cardrona, the city of triathlon Wanaka, Haast-Pass and the Tasman sea we saw such a variety of New Zealand. We did a few caches on our way and had some diverting breaks on the long journey. Our final stop was on a private farm among sheep, cows and of course a lot of sand flies.

Day 2 of a 4 day road trip. My mission on this trip was to travel South and West and then East and North. This road trip was all about the numbers but not quite in the usual way. In fact it was hours and hours spent on the road in search of minutes (and caches). I'm filling in gaps in my 'minutes' found across New Zealand in order to complete the 400 minutes challenge for the cache GC7YQZ8 - at the start of this trip I had a 52 minute gap to fill. A cool spot and a quick easy find for the cache. TFTC, Biggles.

On a road trip to check on our caches and drive to the furthest road south in the West Coast. Replaced log book and cleaned out rubbish. There has been quite a bit of landscaping going on here as in trees cut down so the view is easier to see now but the cache a little more exposed. Fortunately there is now less chance of people using the area as a bush toilet.
