Logs
Late log, from July.
Could not find this one on the way up but found cache after a burn had taken place and before clearing had taken place, log was signed, container was a small silver container of the type that chemists sell for personal ID
Thanks for the cache

The Hot Springs is having a major facelift. All fenced off and I expect from looking at the area that the cache is gone--well the rest of the ground is, so I would say so. Will have to wait till all the works are complete and see if I can replace with another. Ground works and all expected to take many months, so choose to archive this one completely as there will be not way to get it back in circulation for several months.
While travelling from Perth to Darwin, we took the chance to search for some caches here and there - here we went for a swim and found the box afterwards. Thanks for bringing us here and greetings from Germany!
Nach dem Baden und auf dem Rückweg zum Campingplatz konnte ich den Kleinen schnell finden.
Vielen Dank, grey team!
After a bath, on the way back to the campsite, I could discover the small one quickly.
Thank you, grey team!

I found the geocache at the exact location but the inside was burnt because they burn off this area
We're afraid this one's come a bit of a cropper, courtesy of a recent fire through the area. In fact a log or two was still smoking a little distance away. Cache container has weathered the storm but contents were charred unsignable ash. Photo att.
Yay. Number 4. TFTC. Very cleverly hidden. Found with my son, husband and father. Dad was the brave one ! Only one more day here then south to home and the cold weather!
Little bit of spare time on our guided tour of the outback so we decided to find a few caches before having a dip in the springs. There were quite a few muggles in the park but no-one was paying any attention to us so cache was quickly found, log signed and replaced unobserved. Apologies for the late post, just back from an extended trip with no internet access.
10189 and 24th of 37 found today.
We were going to have a dip but time was against us so a cache and a coffee and we were away on the road again.
Thanks for the cache grey team and the pointer to this spot.

Hi there grey team.
We found your cache **"Parks of Katherine 11"** at 10:20:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 14130.
Another day of our month long trek from Whyalla to Darwin. We are slowly travelling northwards picking up a few caches here and there as we go. We have stopped in Katherine for a few days because there is a large cluster of caches here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around two metres from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Thanks greyteam.

It's always a tad scary putting your hand in dark places! But we were rewarded for our efforts Found with YT86. TFTC
Found on our second attempt. Our old GPS had us 20 m off but armed with our new GPS we made a quick find. TFTT. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL Geocaching day!
Today we explored Katherine and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. After a second search Mr "T" came up with the goods, great hide.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found. Sneaky hide. Couldn't retrieve log as tweezers needed. Took a pic instead. TFTC
2 week holiday in the nt cross caching trip with geoparents who have come from germany for a visit.
While the geoparents were on an aboriginal cultural tour we used the time in katherine to find some caches. We were here in 2006 during our 1 year travel trip around oz and some of it has quite changed.
Thanks for placing the cache for us and others to find and enjoy. Sl tnln

Coordinates changed to:
S 14° 28.945 E 132° 15.298
Distance from original: 127.1 feet or 38.7 meters.
Have replaced this cache. Cache container has changed but it is still a micro with log only.
Co ordinates have changed also. Cache was moved to another hiding spot. I hope this time it stays here, as this is the third cache placed here.

Sorry for logging late...
This cache was visited by me either during the one month (February 2015) of hiking/tramping in NZ together with Bärgegumperli or in March/April 2015 while on a bicycle trip across NZ and AUS.
We/I enjoyed geocaching a lot.
Hiking
Hikes:
- Abel Tasman NP: Motueka, Kaiteriteri, Marahau, Inland Track, Separation Point, Coastal Track, Marahau.
- Nelson Lakes NP: St. Arnaud, Hopeless Hut, Travers Saddle, Blue Lake, Waiau Pass, Thompson Pass, D'Urville Valley, Lake Angelus, St. Arnaud.
- Arthur's Pass NP: Mt Brown Hut, Styx Valley, Browning Pass, Whitehorn Pass, Waimakariri Valley, Jordan Saddle, Hut Spur, Arthur's Pass, Mt Aicken
- Bridle Path
The weather conditions were great for tramping almost every single day. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the peace in some very remote areas and the many friendly people we met on our way or in the different huts.
Cycling from Dunedin to Auckland
It is not my first tour with this bicycle (map with long loading time).
Places along the route: Dunedin, Otago Central Rail Trail, East Manuherikia track, Tekapo, Fairlie, Geraldine, Oxford, Waipara, Hanmer Springs, Jacks Pass, Island Saddle, Picton, Wellington, Homedale, Hutt River Trail, Masterton, Pongaroa, road near Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu, Waipukurau, Fernhill, Taupo, Whakamaru, Tirau, Hauraki Rail Trail, Kawakawa Bay, Aukland.
After one month of perfect weather (see above) I finally got what I had to expect: Some rain... And sometimes stron headwinds. That the route was not flat at all meant usually that the landscape is great .
*
Cycling from Melbourne to Darwin
Places along the route: Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Penshurst, Edenhope, Jervois Ferry, Sedan, Tanunda, Crystal Brook, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Uluru/Ayers Rock, The Olgas/Kata Tjuta, Mereenie Loop, Alice Springs, Karlu Karlu/Devil's Marbles, Litchfield NP, Mandorah, Darwin.
Along the coast the weather was often wet and cold. The small roads in Victoria and South Australia were very pleasant to ride despite a lot of headwind. This changed as soon as I reached the Stuart Hwy to sometimes strong tailwinds. That's why I had some "spare" time to ride a loop in the Red Centre. Further north
As in NZ i met some awesome people.

Guess what I did while waiting for a connecting plane in Perth?
Greetings from Switzerland / Gruess us dr Schwiiz
*There are a lot(!) of caches which I did not search while on the bicycle trip. The reasons are mainly:
1. Stopping slows if one wants to get somewhere, especially on bridges where no one wants to slow down a fully loaded touring bike. Yes, there were quite a few days with >200 km on the pushbike...
2. Riding or resting next to a loaded (recumbent) bike attracts in some areas so much attention that stealth mode is not possible.
3. On rare occasions I rode during the night. If I had to do that there was no time to search for caches anyway [:-(]
4. Some places I did really not consider worth stopping for a cache... Sorry.
Thanks for showing me this location and the cache!
