Great cache, this was the first real challenge to us as new comers as it does require taking note of everytging in the description. Added another trinket. TFTC.

Mt.Isa Day 1
After setting up camp in the caravan park we wandered off to do a couple of caches.
This was our first look at the town.
After a 4X4 drive up the mountain we had a great view of the area.

#7212 - 09:15; Day 26 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965, so signing logs as A.L.F.S. After attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs and then heading north to Darwin, we are now headed for home. We reached Queensland yesterday and after overnighting in Mt Isa, we were collecting a few more around the city before hitting the road and heading for our next overnight stop in Winton via Mary Kathleen, Cloncurry and McKinlay. Most of the caches we located were in good order, including this one., which got the blood pumping as we made the climb to GZ. TFTC cruzeycoop

Alice trip 2017. Day 24. Today Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I spent the morning caching around Mt Isa then started driving east, visiting Cloncurry and finishing quite late in Winton.

13673. Next find of Day 16 of the Red Centre Experience Roadtrip. Heading South East into QLD.

I flew into Alice Springs to meet up with my caching mates Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n (signing mostly as ALFS) to attend the Red Centre Experience and then venture up north to Darwin and then east into Qld before heading south for home - a three week caching trek.

Next stop for the day. Puff puff. Quick find at GZ. Great views ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.

Heading back down the track and towards home with fitzy_1965, LuckyL10n and albida and we were heading from Mt Isa towards Barcaldine. Grabbed a good number of caches along the way, with the oddDNF thrown in. A couple of days of fun caching. Most logs were signed ALFS to save space on the logs.....

Thanks to all the caches owners for the caches and the fun in grabbing them.

We've been to the Mega at Alice Springs and now on the homeward stretch so still looking for caches. Coongoola may sign small log sheets as CG if there's not much room.

A quick find while staying in town TFTC

Found at 1228. Had a coffee break and did some shopping then decided to look for a way into this cache. We drove to within 80M;s before scaring a small kangaroo half to death. With the place now to ourselves I made the short walk to the GZ. GPS put me nearly on top of it and a educated guess later I spotted the cache. TFTC.

I was planning on going for a jog this morning but the kids woke up early so i had to take them so that Stephlego could sleep in. Then I decided that we could set off for this one. We parked st the bottom near the playing ground and started the ascent which was not too hard apart from the fact that i piggybacked the 3.5 year old all the way up and back down again. We found a well kept cache and made some swaps. We also walked around to the Western side so we could spot nannies house. This is a great location, I might even hide a GCA cache up here for the summer scavenger Series TFTC cruzecoop

While staying at Mount Isa we tackled a few new caches that have been published since our last visit and this was one of them. This was a good 4x4 up the hill and had a great view of Mount Isa. An easy find, cache in good condition.

Found it! Nice walk but there's no pen in the box! We forgot to bring one so maybe the next person can bring one to put in the cache. We got creative and used some burnt bark!

Walked from town, bushbashed along the creek then up the hill. Good times. Dropped off Smiley TB, TFTC!

Bounced our way to the top in hi range but should have taken the advice from a previous log and used lo range. It would have been much more comfortable. Great view.

1st 1 completed on a day of caching – did the drive up & loved it – the view from up here is tops – gives a good layout of the town – this is our type of cache – we rather do 10 of these then do in town 1’s – a favourite - - TFTC / TFTH / SL

Mr beetle tackled this one and once at GZ found the cache container laying out in the open. He returned it to the obvious place. Great views, thanks.

We had a short caching day today, just picking up a few nearby caches and exploring the lesser travelled parts of town.

This cache was the highlight of the day, wa actually had to put the geo-jeep into low range to traverse a couple of sections of this track.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.

Clear view of the "Isa". TFTC

Back in the Isa for a few days.
With a 4 wd it was easy to drive to the top of the hill. Scared a rock wallaby as i got out of the car. Cache found easily in good condition.
No swaps for me today.
