Date: October 20, 2023 Time: 8:12 PMFind #14247On my way up to Puka for parkrun tomorrow, decided to camp nearby and noticed a cache not far away, so after setting up camp went for a stroll. Nice hiking trail here. Next cacher might want to bring a new log book and clip lock bag.Massive thanks go to skakids for placing this one.
Went for a stroll and knew there was a cache but got soo caught up on the beauty surrounding us we got 200m past gz before realising we’d gone past
That’s ok though it’s so gorgeous that we didn’t mind doubling back TFTC

Nice leisurely walk from Anderson Gardens camp site to the trolls house. Container lid had a crack in it so the log was a bit wet. Love this area. TFTC
Nice easy fin, gorgeous area, glad to see it bouncing back after the bushfires here in 09
After breakfast i made a walk on this trail and found several boxes. Tgis was one of them. Greetings from Germany. TFTC
Found this one today as the inspector and geopup went back up here to collect some caches. TFTC and the effort put into this cache. inspectorrexteam
Went xc to this which was disorienting on the way back with no battery Chipping away at Dads Disappointment- deeper we go with ever increasing variety and varying terrain. A lot of driving hours being logged too. Just a tad late logging TFTC and major distraction from getting to Melbs!
Found it. I had enough phone info to tell me where it was, but not enough to read the description so felt I was winging it a little. Worked out where soon enough.
We were aiming to walk to the reservoir, but some of our party weren't that happy and bandaids were called for. We had brought none. The path (beyond GZ) turned back towards camp, so we followed that and called it a day. thanks for the cache!

When doing the Dads Driving Lesson series we had not read the description at the picnic area and had bypassed it then, so a special trip in to remove this green blot from the map. A lovely walk from the campsite to make this easy find Thanks for bringing me back her and TFTC skakids

Whilst moving on up from Andersons campground I listened to the birds and watched my footing. The walk was very pleasant especially in the shade. Once again my GPS was pointing in another direction but I used the clue and soon found what I wanted.
Thanks for an enjoyable stroll today skakids

ad tried to walk at this one from a few different directions, with no clear path, then I realised there was a suggested parking area, but a longer walk. Decided to do it and once at gz had the cache in hand quickly. Didn't do anymore of the walk due to time constraints but would like to come back again some time for more exploring. Giving this one a favourite for a nice walk. TFTC TNLN
After getting the dates wrong with the CITO I decided to do some caches that were off the main trails
A nice walk along the track and I soon had the cache in hand as no water was running today

Arrived at the Picnic Ground to find quite a few campers enjoying the space. As the day was much cooler than last weekend, we decided an 800mtr stroll would be a pleasant way to end our time on Mt Disappointment. A much easier T3 walk today and so pretty too! Took a couple of photos along the way and SL at 1.42pm Left: gold eagle PT #4470 TFTC skakids. Now wonder which road we will find ourselves on to get home to the NE of the State!?
We have done part of this trail before it had been extended. Today were here to complete it and picked up others along the way.
The weather was kind to us with the occasional light shower. We crossed path with a another caches from Melbourne.
Made most of the find easily, only passed the odd car during the day, We enjoyed the smell of Eucalyptus while caching.
Thank you to all the cache owners for all the effort that has gone into this for all of us to enjoy.

We'd been to the campground before for lunch, and to grab the cache there, but had decided to leave the walk for another time. Well, another time had finally come today and we headed off after saying hello to the campers at the carpark. Hope their sleeping bags are warm, coz it was chilly as we were walking in the afternoon! After an exceedingly pleasant walk we came to the delightful GZ and a quick snazzle of the cache saw us back on our way. This is why we do it. Thanks for the hide and helping us walk off lunch.
After coming to the the end of Dad's Mt Disappointment Driving Lesson series, we were close to Anderson's Garden Picnic Ground from where we had started an AWG walk a year earlier. It looked like the walking track to the Sunday Creek Reservoir went in the right direction and a brisk 1 km walk got us to a suspicious construction. Fortunately the creek was dry and the cache was uncovered at 15:30. Thanks skakids.
I only saw two other people on my walk in to this cache. The remainder were lunching back in the picnic area or rushing around the area on motorbikes.
Nice cool day for the walk and the creek at GZ was bone dry making an easy find.
Cache is in good order
Thanks

In the area on a rescue mission to retrieve some travel bugs from a nearby archived cache and doing a couple of still live caches along the way.
Camp ground was well attended today but the walking track was very quiet. Quick find at GZ and on my way back to the car. A nice hot one today.
**Thanks for placing this cache skakids**

Andersons Gardens Campground - the perfect spot for lunch after successfully, completing the Mt Disappointment Driving Lessons with our co- drivers Suscoe. Also gave us the chance to test the range of a new set of radios.
Our thanks to skakids for bringing us to this location.

Suscoe was out and about in the very good company of Phetlern today.
It was a delightful day with early cloud and the sunshine and a gentle breeze for most of the day keeping things pleasant.
All in all a delightful early Autumn day.
A very pleasant walk in the bush and we tried out our new walkie talkies, got almost 900 metres with good reception.
A quick find near a very dry creek bed.
Thanks to the skakids for this hide.
A great location, and so quiet today.

As we were walking to this cache from the busy campground, Geoturtle suddenly stopped and signal me to do the same. She had heard what turned out to be an echidna only 1.5m from the track. As we stood silently watching we had the pleasure of seeing him/her tearing into a rotted log and catching the ants inside for lunch, with his long tongue. We moved on after a few minutes as it moved on to seek out another snack. See attached photos. We continued on to the cache, which was a straightforward find. We signed the log and dropped off TB "skorpion", and we were on our way again.
Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

Out and about with Biggles Bear today, we headed to the "Mt Disappointment series". Once completed, we had a little time left, so we headed off to find a few more before returning home. After returning to the camp ground after the nearby cache, we headed up the track to this one. It was a lovely day for a walk and we enjoyed stretching out legs a bit (after a 60 cache series of drivebys) and once at GZ, the cache was quickly found, right where our GPSs pointed.
On the way back, we ran into Riddell and Mrs Riddell heading up the track. He was kind enough to give us the rundown on some caches in Wandong which we then headed to. My thanks to skakids for the cache.

Tftc. Despite this being a very busy area, not many catchers have been here. Perhaps a short walk in deters them.
Found 3:12:00 PM, whilst our with Muzza on our November caching expedition to Mt. Disappointment and environs.
TNLN, thanks skakids (F=728 H=96).

#709 - My 50th find of the day and completion of my mission to conquer Mount Disappointment.
With the sun finally out and a track to follow, the jacket was off and it was a nice jog to GZ. The was no water at GZ, I ould be interested to see how much would be flowing here in Winter.
I fought and defeated a troll and was granted access to the cache!
Thank you for the caches today skakids, really enjoyed them.
Dropped off Rartuz the Orc Warrior trackable.

I can't believe I even attempted, let alone achieved this find. On a normal day it would be a doddle, but today I have a crappy cold and chest infection. That gentle stroll turned into an arduous mountain climb on 20% lung function lol. Great find though. JSando climbed down and made the grab. A beautifully serene part of the world. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
A nice stroll after lunch. Nice cache in a good location. Unfortunately didn't have the time to get to the reservoir itself but will come back for that one day. TFTC skakids. TNLN. #79

Saw an unfound and had to get it.
Now that the bananas write this log it has been found to be yet another quest.
On a big day of hunting, this started at 11.30 at night.
Got close but the back roads and navigation had bought us to a locked gate.
Twenty minutes of running later the treasure was found. Just before the pumpkin hour.
Glad you loaded the hide with a pen. Interesting to see the Xmas bonbon supply is finally running low.
Great work yet again skakids.
But it just took 50 minutes to get back.
Hills do that.
