Look long and hard for this one but came up empty handed after looking for quite a while. Sorry CO could not match the hint.
Wrote an incredibly long log
About finding the damp log
After a not-this-year-Mega-weekend, where we had gone to the tribute cache, chased crayons for a morning, found challenge caches, found TMGT caches, today was a bit of a Mangere and Puketutu hangout day.
We have typically signed as mrandmrschosen1978 or occasionally MM78.

Last day in Auckland for some of our Southland group, checked out of accommodation, had breakfast nearby, still time to grab some caches, concentrating not too far from the airport... no missing planes for us!
A Puketutu Island adventure on the cards so we headed off to find some caches and complete an AdLab.
Great camo on this one, had us looking all over the place, finally found, love your work, a fave tftc

Came out to do the adventure lab and tick off some regular caches as well.
What a clever cache. As previously mentioned, the log book (signed as Bruno and Dad) is damp, but managed to sign.

This one gave me a bit of trouble, until I noticed something a bit off!
Got it!
Thanks for the cache!

Mr Squirrel located the nifty cache quite a way from GPS gz and hint. We suspected cache creep so after giving log a nice sunbathe to dry out we put it back where we think it should go.
Man this has us going around in circles for a while. Then Dot finally made the discovery. Cleverly done. Log was really wet so took a pic of it. Awesome spot. Saw a couple of planes take off. Tftc
This one took us a bit longer, log very wet, but managed to sign. Super cool!

In Auckland for a few days for my daughters wedding this afternoon. Before she announced her wedding date, I had planned to get at least 96 caches of various types sizes and D/T ratings etc. to get my find numbers up to 101 and as my other leap day achievemnets as possible. However once she anoounced leap day as her wedding day I had to pare back my goals for the day to just finding 21 caches as quick as I could first thing in the morning. I chose this area for the concentration of caches. Unfortunately, being under time pressure, if I couldn't find a cache within a couple of minutes, I had to move on. This cache was too elusive for a cacher in a hurry.

Got an hour or so to kill before our staff Christmas party in Manukau this evening, so figured I'd go find some caches! I'm a sucker for a good series so this seemed like a great option.
Thought I knew exactly what I was in for having found caches with such descriptions by this CO before... Proceeded to turn over half the beach before returning to the coordinates and finding the cache exactly where it should be. Log was completely soaked - water dripped out of the cache as I opened it. Wasn't able to sign the log for this reason. A great hide though, TFTC!

This is our second visit to new Zealand.... we love it!
For the first day and after a long flight from Europe, we decided to do a walk and look for some caches in this area before going on an adventure on the North Island.
Beautiful place not far from the city.
Our eyes or our gps is not yet adapted to the places, we do not find the cache.
---
Thanks G_2 for the geocache [^]
Greetings from Belgium,
Frank et Muriel
Happy geocaching

Superb camo. It was one of those days where this series definitely earned its name. Something was rotten in South Auckland! F/p
While looking for this one we found some crabs! Kids then got sidetracked trying to find more, took dad going for a wander to find the cache, great camo, tides out at the moment but great views nonetheless, we are going to enjoy this walk, tftc
Found after looking in the wrong area for ages! Currently with another bunch of catchers looking for the same one super nice hide, flipped it over once and though, nah that’s not it, 20 mins later and that was it hahaha TFTC
A lovely walk on Puktutu island. This one took a bit longer to find but Mr CD spotted the very well camouflaged cache and we stamped and returned. TFTC
Running distraction with Huntsman 2015 while Nicnacnz does the finding. Nice work Nicnacnz.
Ayden4asmile was searching for this one but my cache sense spotted something from a distance. Huntsman2015 and I came over to highlight the spotted stuff and cache was in hand. Love the camo job. Thank you so much for these!
So we continued along the path took a slight diversion to admire the sewage pond and made a quick find of stinky 2.The water started to drip out as we opened it up but we were glad to be able to sign the waterproof log.drained out some more water and replaced as found.
On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but cheers to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. We didn't have any problems here - the cache was found quickly thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. I think I remember the lid being broken on this one - I don't know how high the water level gets but the water proof log should last. Cheers G-2, TFTC.

Another trademark G-2 hide here . . . quickly located (I must be getting used to these hides now . . . . . left a replacement log sheet here today as other was full FulL FULL to overflowing . . . . . thanks for another great hide
Clever little hide with a cute little story log is full however so a new one may be needed
Had some time before a friend of mine needs to go to the Airport so we decided to have a Little walk in this area. The weather showed us it's sunny side so we enjoyed the nice view and the Caches.
Number two on our walk and here we could find the best on today. Nice camo, deserves a FP.
Thanks for hiding!

First thought on arriving at GZ was oh no, where to begin. Then the aha moment and sure enough there it was. The twist was almost too much but soon that problem was overcome. The log is completely full . . . I suspect our signature might be on top of a very faded one. TFTC .
Very clever hide.Just about to give up then Bingo Mrs ABCDF4.got it Great camo Thanks
Hmm - some rather icky looking slime - at least it didn't smell that bad. I was confused by the description - has it not been updated? Or maybe I don't know the local vernacular. Eventually spotted the obvious 'cachers were here' construction. TFTC.
Out gaining points for Planetary Pursuits challenge. Managed to fall over on my back looking for this one and yes ended up stinky! Great hide. Log full. Thanks G-2.
Found at the Easter weekend in order to gain some souvenirs for the "planetary pursuit" souvenir challenge. This one could have taken us quite some time to find, but with a little logic we were able to minimize the search-area. It payed out and soon we had the cache in hand. Great hide, great camo, great cache.
Found together with Greenkiwikids, signed as "Team Piraten". TFTC

Out to collect some cache's around Puketutu island. Second stinky cache of the day, and yes they live up to their name! This one took a while until I gt a good lock on my GPS and found the sneaky hide. Thank's for the cache.
This one took a while to find and at some stages felt like a needle in a haystack. Mrs HeMaLuDy was on the phone to Mr HeMaLuDy who was off on a FTF attempt, when purply made the find. In fact he got such a fright when she exclaimed that he did not actually see the cache himself at first. Pleased to make the find in the clever camo. Found with darthcacher1 and purply.
TFTC. Out and about to gather a few quality caches was the plan for today.
A unique cache well suited to the sea environment.
Thanks G-2 for placing this cache.

Well a wet day in Auckland and down to my last couple of hours in the city and with a hire car I thought I would come up here, walk for a couple and do some park and grabs.
Thank you for this cache, had fun exploring the area.

Nice evening walk on Puketutu Island. Cache in hand after short search. Creative one! TFTC
#4792. I have been up in Auckland for a week on a work trip. I rented a car yesterday and was hoping to find a reasonable number of caches today before dropping off the rental at 3pm and flying back to Wellington. After spending the night in Balmoral at my sisters I headed off to grab a few central Auckland caches and then crossed over to Mangere. Off on the Stinky trail. Not as stinky as the 1980s when I came here for bird watching at the sewage ponds. The cache was soon found even though its an awesome camo. Signed the logbook (just, as its totally full) and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache G--2. Another favourite coming your way.
TFTC A great hide. Needs a new log as log is full.

TFTC. SL. Thank you for bringing us here. We are from Australia travelling with Pegasus46
Cache number 3483 and day 100 of my current streak. After dropping my brother at the airport I continued on to clear some of the caches in this area. A lovely spring day and a good day for a little bike ride. Went a little too far along the track so did a circle back to this one. Parked my bike where I thought it would be but as GPS was telling me otherwise I went over there. Well done. Thank you for the placement.
Lovely day for a bike ride around the Island and collecting caches along the way. Nice quick find. TFTC.
It was dawn so the dwarf must've been asleep. Snuck out to the GZ and made a quick find. Loved the camo tho and giving it an FP for that. TFTC
I was here before with ivss_xx, but had no luck in finding this one. But today it took only few minutes to find it. Cache is all good here. tftc.
Wow, what a brilliant camo. Enjoying walking around the island this afternoon. Not many people out today, cheers
I was doing not too badly on my found stats for the day, and it was getting a bit late in the day, but there are always more to find, right? As I was driving along to the island, there were still a few cars and people hanging out, so I decided to go for a walk instead, hoping that it would not be too stinky. I think I made the right choice - beautiful evening, only the smell of pines, and not a single soul around except mine. I really enjoyed the walk, thanks for taking me out this way!!! Btw I am sure the state of Denmark have sorted their issues since Hamlet
Joined the early morning caching trip to Auckland with Cats&Dragons, 11hpg11 and RWIMF with logs signed as HOLD (Hamilton Overachieving Latte Drinkers), reflecting that the frequent requests for a (hot) coffee stop on a cold & then wet morning threatened to outnumber caches lol. Still, caching on a day when no-one else wants to brave the elements means muggle-free straight forward searching. Enjoyed our walk along here, discussing what tall tales we could add to the cache page. I have lots of fun work stories about the rotten things I've found in unusual places, but all were vetoed as inappropriate for a family website, so those stories will have to be shared with the CO another day Another quick find here, took longer to work out how to get inside! thanks for the cache.
As we walked up the road (we have since realised we could have driven), we had to contend with the wind... Still thats better than rain, which is passing to the north of us. We got to watch cyclists pass by us, but that's ok, they aren't caching. Normally doing a series of caches is boring, but today I'm here with both old friends and some people I'm only meeting for the first time - which makes it a good day, especially as the cache lid was on tight, and with having broken my hand while out caching 2 months ago - there is no way I would have been able to get the lid off if I'd been here by myself. I had wondered if I should have been doing this in hiking boots.. But it's auckland! My ratty of running shoes are more than adequate
Out for a morning caching with Hamilton Overachieving Latte Drinkers, although we realised about half way through the morning only one of us could claim a Latte as our favourite caffinated beverage... We certainly spoke about hot drinks a lot on this trip as we froze in the cold weather. We left Hamilton at 5:30am this morning, and gave up when we were all sopping wet after several rain showers went over. Which was good - to collect over 40 caches, and still be home by 2pm! All logs signed HOLD to save space

Out and about today for an early morning trip to Auckland to clear out some caches. An early start for us meant we were a little low in caffeine and hot drinks were on our minds. Our team today consisted of Cats&Dragons, Kiwis69, RWIMF and myself and logs were signed as HOLD (Hamilton Overachieving Latte Drinkers) or informally known as Steve and the Harem. Our day was cut short by persistent showers and an early afternoon time limit set by those at home who must be obeyed but we still got in a good handful of caches.
Great back story with this one and we were a little worried as we approached GZ and saw what we had to search. Luckily for us the cache was very exposed and we saw it right away. A bit of a struggle to get the lid off but we got there. Returned and hid it with a bit of natural camo to shield it.

Noticed there were quite a few geocaches on this island and had previously not known it to be open to the public so I came down here today for some caches and a nice walk.
This was the second cache on my walk. As I have found recently with these types of hides, there always seems to be something which is slightly more obvious. A good effort into cache construction. TFTC G--2

After a DNF last week we were feeling a bit "stink" so decided to go back for another try today.
This time our geosenses were working at full capacity as we soon spotted something we hadn't noticed last time which turned out to be the very cleverly camo'd cache.
Thanks G-2 for another great hide. We are very pleased to have turned this one into a smiley.

We looked for a while but the dwarf eluded us. After a long walk around the area our geosenses must have been a bit drained but we never give up and will be back soon for a second look.
Well I found that a lot faster than any of my fellow cachers, as they had all found it previously, so stood back to watch.
Quick find this afternoon with eltee291. That was really cool, a favorite for sure. Loved walking in this area! Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache!
Quick find today with hingis20 as we return to Auckland to stay overnight and then head home tomorrow. Now that was a very cleverly camouflaged cache. It is stinky here but we started to get used to it. I have never seen so many black swans in one area in my life. And then they started to fly - awesome. Visiting NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. It has been an awesome three week trip through an absolutely gorgeous country
Good gracious man, what does go through your mind to think about creating this? I presume you case the joint and then make the caches to suit. Very clever. Found quicker than I deserved and then had a think about how best to extract the log. This was my favourite stinky today so I'm awarding a favourite point as a representative thanks for creating this trail. Thanks, it was fun.
JDScout and I had an awesome 3 day weekend in Auckland. It was wonderful to meet some known faces and meet some new people too at an LSteamer event.
Now for the stinky walk. Doing the other side now.T hat was one cool hide. JDSCOUT found it. It gets a favorite from me.

Phew this could have been a tricky one to find, but thankfully it was the first thing I found. Co-ords where got, and with the hint, I had a Very good idea what I was looking for.
This was my last find for the day, and once I got back to the car, realised I had lost my pen somewhere between it and this cache. Backtracked, and found it about 15 m from the cache hide
Good to get the pen back, and the find. A great day spent out walking around the lagoons, the weather stayed fine, and the only a couple DNF, but I suspect they where MIA.
Took a picture of the log, as I suspect my pen ink will wash away!
Thanks for the hides and the adventure.
