This one had us hunting with the gps jumping around, toke a breathe and leaned up on a tree and hello hitting me in the face??????????????? tfth
Amazing camouflage was reading the recent logs then looked up from my phone and it was right there!! TFTC
This one took a bit as our gps/phone had us standing at GZ right on the tide line. Hint was interpreted in several different ways until we finally spied the prize. Tftc
Must have overlooked this one. It was a windy rainy day and it made it hard to get our heart in the search. Thanks for all the other hides that we found today though.
Im visiting family in Auckland and today my husband was going to a site visit nearby, so decided it was the perfect opportunity to find some caches here. Great camo. Was looking in the wrong trees first so took a little while to find. Last finder was in October. Tftc
#475 Are you, are you comin' to the tree?Where they strung up a man, they say, who murdered threeStrange things did happen here, no stranger would it beIf we met at midnight in the hanging tree
The rain is so that means geocaching! There are a few in the island so hoping to smash out them all! Armed with raincoats, trail shoes, some swappables, 3 pens (as I like to lose them) and a friend!
Thanks to COs for placing and maintaining!

We found this one while out on a morning run before our flight home. We didn't have a pen sorry. Its rather smelly out here and there was no breeze...
We still weren't stinky by the time we found the cache, although it was getting a bit warmer. Took a bit of time to find because the gps was jumping everywhere, but not as much as the cyclist jumped when we emerged from the bush!
Nice job on the camo! So detailed. Good to knock a few more of G-2 caches off. TFTC

Its been almost 2 years since we were last out this way on the island, this time we took the bike to tick off a few of the further ones!
Took no time at all on 2 wheels!

A few hours to kill before having to pick up my daughter at Auckland Airport so headed over to Puketutu Island. Arrived at car park and absolutely poured down. After sitting in car for 15 minutes it cleared and managed to get around the southern part dry and grabbing caches and the Ad Labs. A quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.
The name is very fitting.
With the view of the lights from the sewage treatment plant and the wind coming from the compost.
Found it on Saturday night (9-7-22)
The cach was safe and dry.
Thanks again G-2.

Log edited and resubmitted to ensure it qualifies for the current souvenir challenge.
After getting soaked in the Coromandel this morning, I decided to cut my losses and head back to AKL. I had 2 hours before I need to get the hire car back, so headed here for the AL and an "Unfinished Business" challenge cache nearby. I then discovered this little series so how could I refuse?
This one was easy (once I looked at the correct angle) and for once the level assessment was accurate for me... TFTC G_2.

Had to attempt the find on our return back to the car, we had muggles on our tail! This marks our final find on the island. Awesome placements!
I was worried this would take a while and as I arrived a couple was cycling towards the end of the track (so I knew they would return soon!). My gps had me looking in the wrong spot initially, but once I expanded my search area and had a smarter approach, I saw it quickly. Thanks!
Needed to get out and about today, and going bush was not really an option, so headed over to this area as it had been a while since my last visit.....
Parked near by and broke out the bike for a quick ride around the area....Fav. point for this one as the camo was awesome....

Only DNF today. Gave it 15 minutes minimum, time to move on. I know it’s a tricky one but it didn’t pop out for me today.
A not so mad day caching,.. but I certainly benefited! Out with Keylev and NZTravellers again. As they have all gotten most of the caches in this area, it was up to be to play catchup to these 2. They were feeling extremely charitable and I wasn't going to pass the opportunity up. Sure they used me for cache maintenance labour, but as long as I get to sign the logs, I don't very much care
Took a bit to spot this. At the end, I didn't. Keylev came to the rescue.

Out on a GC bike tour today to boost out numbers and clean up this area.

Spent extra time lurking in the tree trying to photograph waxeyes. Oh well ... at least I found the cache.
This one took longer than we first thought! Awesome ride and awesome camo! Tftc
I'd been warned by a previous finder that this one was really stinky - bison hanging in a tree? Yep, that stinks. Luckily the accompanying alunb was able to pinpoint it for me really quickly and I soon added my name.
Our weekend plans of a ride out to Raglan were put on hold as our son and his family needed to head down to Auckland due to family reasons and we were able to put them up for the weekend. With uncertainty around what we were doing for the Saturday I put aside any caching plans and awaited the outcomes. We ended up going to the CITO, I then got to hang out with CyclicalCaching and his partner for one path around part of the island, then around the other way with alunb. Managed to get quite a few of the caches around here before a trip out to Sylvia Park for some retail therapy.

I missed that one when I came last. My Wife spotted it right away. Thanks for the cache.
Nearly gave up as we are in complete darkness with the mozzies but finally found tftc
Tough find in the dark but got there in the end. Coordinatedms a fair bit off. Tftc
Had to check photos to work out what we were looking for (fav from us).
After a not-this-year-Mega-weekend, where we had gone to the tribute cache, chased crayons for a morning, found challenge caches, found TMGT caches, today was a bit of a Mangere and Puketutu hangout day.
We have typically signed as mrandmrschosen1978 or occasionally MM78.

Last day in Auckland for some of our Southland group, checked out of accommodation, had breakfast nearby, still time to grab some caches, concentrating not too far from the airport... no missing planes for us!
A Puketutu Island adventure on the cards so we headed off to find some caches and complete an AdLab.
Loving your camo those this one was doing my head in, called in the other 3 who helped n the search. Then an I found it was heard yay! tftc

I finally found this on my third pass, as soon as I saw it, I couldn’t believe how I missed it so many times.
I did reach out to the CO for help and his extra hint greatly reduced my search area.
Excellent Camo, it’s practically invisible and yet completely visible.

Took two goes, on the way out to the end had a good look and just could not see it. on the way back straight to it. Great cache thanks.
We looked high and higher as the gps was bouncing around. Finally after a bit of a stand back and gaze, there it was right in a gap. Did the formalities close by but had trouble finding it to put it back together. Ha!
Alas, I have been bested here today. Will have to return at a later stage with some more I's.
This is our second visit to new Zealand.... we love it!
For the first day and after a long flight from Europe, we decided to do a walk and look for some caches in this area before going on an adventure on the North Island.
Beautiful place not far from the city.
Our eyes or our gps is not yet adapted to the places, we do not find the cache.
---
Thanks G_2 for the geocache [^]
Greetings from Belgium,
Frank et Muriel
Happy geocaching

The biggest stinker of the day. After 15mns or more of searched I paf 'd a friend to explain the hint. Eye Eye! Another half hour and still no win.
Certainly took a bit of looking but as described, it was easy to see once you found it! Great camo, fav point if i have one, for this cache and the others along here, i love a good geo trail, thankyou!
Found after a solid 15min look, super creative hide wasn’t expecting it the co ordinates are slightly off but still a relatively easy find. TFTC!
A lovely walk on Puktutu island. Very well camouflaged and when I spotted it and pointed it out to Mr CD it was only a few inches from his head and he struggled to see it. stamped and returned. TFTC And a FP
Relied on my own size rather than Dragondefender's for this one. Well camoed but quickly found. Thanks
Have enjoyed our walk along here today so its a shame its coming to an end.Not seen many people along here either which is always a bonus. Not our fav type of hide but didnt take long for one of us to spot.
On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but cheers to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. In fairness to us it was the middle of the night so this one did take a little while for us to spot. Cheers G-2, TFTC.

Out in the area finishing a maintenance run with NZIceman, cragger and laval.
Had looked for this one a long time ago with no luck. Not sure why I didn't try it a couple of weeks back when I was here but after a few minutes of looking today soon turned the brown frown into a nice yellow smile.
Thanks for the cache.

A great camo job but fortunately managed to spot the cache fairly quickly. Thanks for the hide.
