Out for a day of activity on Puketutu - this one is definitely here and looking in tip top condition. Road wasn't toooo squishy
Far too boggy to get to and its a nice weather kinda day. Plenty of sandflies and a dead decomposing duck on our travels.
Another creative cache. My wife and I did over 15 k today walking from our hotel to get out to the island and look for these caches. You certainly made it worth the while. Thanks!
Big J out, took us the rest of the night to find because Big Js eye got punctured by teih
Very boggy area. Plenty of mud around. Quick find, faster than Ian. Thanks for the cache
#466Out geocaching with a stinky, who was drawn to his namesake like a magnet. GPS had me looking elsewhere. TFTH
Thanks G-2 for the cache. We came out here today to pick up a challenge cache. It would be sad to not grab the caches out here that we needed to walk past. Quick find after spotting the ad lab in the car park. Missed the other stinky cache out here but think I would of found it if I had stopped at this one first instead of on the walk back
It is a good job today is not Good Friday or Easter Sunday because my use of expletives trying to get here would not be getting me a place in heaven. Of all the "stinky" caches this one has lived up to its name. I was going to scrap it before we even started down the stinky, muddy, yucky track, but Daddypig tried out the thick grass and we walked part way down there. Before GZ we had to duck into the bush where it was a lot drier underfoot.
We spent far too long checking out certain areas until Daddypig read a log which gave us a hint as to the height of the cache. Suddenly I turned around and spotted the usual camo.

Found w MrPretty. Glad we picked this series today.top notch. Heaps of flier friends haha tftc
We picked our way to GZ through the mud and when we arrived we found another nice lot of camo. Nice hide. TFTC
A nice quick find. I started on the track then diverted to the bush when the track got wet and muddy. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a lovely sunny day, I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around some of the time. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I almost gave up on this as the route I had chosen was ridiculously soggy. Luckily I discovered a drier (though less straight) path to get to the GZ. Once there it didn't take too long to sort it out. Thanks!
A few hours to kill before having to pick up my daughter at Auckland Airport so headed over to Puketutu Island. Arrived at car park and absolutely poured down. After sitting in car for 15 minutes it cleared and managed to get around the southern part dry and grabbing caches and the Ad Labs. The Northern part was a bit wetter with having to dive for cover and wait a couple of times. This one took a bit of searching but got there in the end. Thanks for the cache.
I spent the morning looking after the Grandkids while their parents worked from home. I dropped the kids off at daycare in time to have lunch then sleeps and set off to get todays geocaching targets.
I was hoping to grab a few puzzles, get the last two TMGT caches and head out towards the airport in plenty of time to collect my son at 6.30pm.
I was pleased as I achieved my goals and got 24 finds plus 2 labs for the day.
I parked up at 4.30pm and hoped I'd have enough time to do both sides of the island before dark. Headed off this way first. I tried on the path side of the trees first but found I'd have to dive right in there. Checked a few out before spotting the G-2 camo job. Thanks for another cache

Needed to get out and about today, and going bush was not really an option, so headed over to this area as it had been a while since my last visit.....
Parked near by and broke out the bike for a quick ride around the area....had to come back to this one, as it eluded me on my first search....
TFTC.

Thought was too easy, then realized I found a coffee cup. Not long to get the real one though. A bit above gl.
A not so mad day caching,.. but I certainly benefited! Out with Keylev and NZTravellers again. As they have all gotten most of the caches in this area, it was up to be to play catchup to these 2. They were feeling extremely charitable and I wasn't going to pass the opportunity up. Sure they used me for cache maintenance labour, but as long as I get to sign the logs, I don't very much care
This one took a bit of looking around. So many insects out here, just wanted to get out! Found it first, though. TFTC

Out on a GC bike tour today to boost out numbers and clean up this area.

Ok, finding Stinky 8 meant I could overcome my weird preconceptions and come back and find this one! Whew!
Thanks
Thanks
YAY - got it! Like previous I was looking at wrong base initially too. My second go at this, I tried awhile back but got put off the scent so to speak, but on the mark this time. TFTC
This stinky has us searching for a few minutes, but we got it!
Stinky indeed!
Stinky indeed!
First of the stinkers and took a while to track down. As soon as I headed around the back things were improved and the cache was located.
Our weekend plans of a ride out to Raglan were put on hold as our son and his family needed to head down to Auckland due to family reasons and we were able to put them up for the weekend. With uncertainty around what we were doing for the Saturday I put aside any caching plans and awaited the outcomes. We ended up going to the CITO, I then got to hang out with CyclicalCaching and his partner for one path around part of the island, then around the other way with alunb. Managed to get quite a few of the caches around here before a trip out to Sylvia Park for some retail therapy.

Logbook is very wet all the names have rubbed off. Trying to get 5 for the night before the sun goes down
Found by Mr Squirrel while I was looking at other possible locations. Nice camo. Signed all caches today as SITM.
Our first for a long time. We forgot a pencil. We can supply a photo for proof if you want?
After a friendly hint from the couple caching behind us and the help of finding number 8. We returned and were successful!
Decided to carry on over this side as we were enjoying our afternoon out here. Its actually pretty hot today so was nice to go into the cool of the trees. Tftc
1st On our puketutu day out. Awesome camo. Miss 8 had her sensors on for this one! Tftc
Beautiful day for a walk and to gather some more finds. Easily found this one. TFTC
This is our second visit to new Zealand.... we love it!
For the first day and after a long flight from Europe, we decided to do a walk and look for some caches in this area before going on an adventure on the North Island.
Beautiful place not far from the city.
Our eyes or our gps is not yet adapted to the places, we do not find the cache.
---
Thanks G_2 for the geocache [^]
Greetings from Belgium,
Frank et Muriel
Happy geocaching

Very muddy here today! Had to give up before i found it as i was finding it hard to supervise ms 1 and look at the same time, as it was she sat in the mud a few times! We will be back another day!
I had promised to bring my niece and nephews back to complete the remainder of the caches along the Mangere cycleway today on our scooters. While in the area we decided to take them to Puketutu Island and find the caches around there. We took the wrong route to access GZ as it was very wet and muddy. We made a quick find of the camo'd cache before finding the reasonably dry route back.
In Auckland for a few days so only aiming a few caches. Brought my bike up so had to use it on some of these. TFTC
Coordinates on fleek!! Really nice camo! Path to GZ can be soggy at times, like today. TFTC!
Another clever cache in the series. No problem finding this with Dragondefender, a good place to view wildlife. Thanks
Final cache find for me tonight. Spotted this one straight away. Good camo though. TFTC!
Decided to come out today and grab some more of the caches in this area as we have always liked it around here.Spent a while looking for this one and then we remembered it was g2 style so thought a bit harder and then we noticed some very clever cameo.log is full and its very muddy down here but glad our first cache of the day is a smiley.
On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but cheers to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. Very wet under foot here but found the cache pretty quickly. Cheers G-2, TFTC.

Weekend are coming around very fast got a phone call from our Rotorua & Papamoa Friends to see what we were doing for the weekend,iI said we were planning on finishing the Puketutu Island & Otuataua Stonefields,so come on over.Saturday morning put the bikes on and away we went.Weather was great.Had a great day.Log the Log as Team HRP
What a muddy track! Eventually found the way in to the spot. I think I was lucky being at the right angle, as the camo looked a little more out of place there. TFTC.
Found at the Easter weekend in order to gain some souvenirs for the "planetary pursuit" souvenir challenge. Wow, that was a difficult one and took me ages to find. Great camo!!! Very good once you found it...
Found together with Greenkiwikids, signed as "Team Piraten". TFTC

Looked forever for this cache and nothing. Almost gave up but my trustee partner found it. brilliant cache camo. Tftc!!
Easy nice and short stroll today in the area. Cache in hand after quick serach. TFTC
#4799. I have been up in Auckland for a week on a work trip. I rented a car yesterday and was hoping to find a reasonable number of caches today before dropping off the rental at 3pm and flying back to Wellington. After spending the night in Balmoral at my sisters I headed off to grab a few central Auckland caches and then crossed over to Mangere. Off on the Stinky trail. Not as stinky as the 1980s when I came here for bird watching at the sewage ponds. Lucky last for the day. Was planning one more but it was a DNF. Had to bolt to grab some fuel and then drop off the rental. Took me a few minutes to spot the cache as I was on the wrong side of the object initially. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache G--2.
Cache number 3481 and day 100 of my current streak. After dropping my brother at the airport I continued on to clear some of the caches in this area. A lovely spring day and a good day for a little bike ride. For some reason my GPS was bouncing around a bit and I had to do a few circles before I spotted it. Well done. Thank you for the placement.
I always enjoy visiting here for a walk before heading home, today was no exception, although my strike rate on the caches I looked for was somewhat below par. Cheers and TFTC
Came here this morning at dawn to grab a few more of this Stinky series. Brought my bike cos they are a bit further from the carpark. Started here for a nicely camo'd but quick find. Log is full but managed to sign it. Said it before I love your work Glyn, giving this one an FP
TFTC! Should have read the logs and taken the grass alternative! Haha oh well. Log book is full and need replacing, next cacher please bring paper
Joined the early morning caching trip to Auckland with Cats&Dragons, 11hpg11 and RWIMF with logs signed as HOLD (Hamilton Overachieving Latte Drinkers), reflecting that the frequent requests for a (hot) coffee stop on a cold & then wet morning threatened to outnumber caches lol. Then again, caching on a day when no-one else wants to brave the elements means muggle-free straight forward searching. Gave up trying to avoid the stinky puddles on the way here, please god let that be rain water I'm walking through!! Quick search here & RWIMF came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache.
Wet feet walking through the muddy "rain water" at least that is what we are all telling ourselves that that is what we are walking through... Nice direct path to this cache, happy to be the one who found it. I'd left my phone in my pocket, and had applied my spidey senses. Glad to see they are working just now
Out for a morning caching with Hamilton Overachieving Latte Drinkers, although we realised about half way through the morning only one of us could claim a Latte as our favourite caffinated beverage... We certainly spoke about hot drinks a lot on this trip as we froze in the cold weather. We left Hamilton at 5:30am this morning, and gave up when we were all sopping wet after several rain showers went over. Which was good - to collect over 40 caches, and still be home by 2pm! All logs signed HOLD to save space
