Im visiting family in Auckland and today my husband was going to a site visit nearby, so decided it was the perfect opportunity to find some caches here. Quick find. Tftc
#469Could sense Poo in the air, but no piglet to be seen. Maybe hes hiding in one of the other stinky caches ? All well and good here. TFTH
As we watched the metres counting down we guessed where the cache might be. A quick find. And not at all stinky.
Not so stinky today out here, but very sunny and quite warm, especially speed walking out here wearing all black work clothes lol. Anyway, nice and quick find on my way to an FTF nearby. TFTC!!!
Found w MrPretty. Such a good stinky scenic route but worth the steps. Beauty aftrnooon and beauty hides! T ftc
Quick find here while we admired the rock wall. One more up here before we head back to the car. TFTC
With one eye on the gathering clouds I made my way around this side of the island. Managed to get back to the car before the rain came.
Recent finder had left a sort of trail to the hide so after signing and replacing I covered my tracks a little. Thank you for the placement.

A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a lovely sunny day, I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around some of the time. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

A few hours to kill before having to pick up my daughter at Auckland Airport so headed over to Puketutu Island. Arrived at car park and absolutely poured down. After sitting in car for 15 minutes it cleared and managed to get around the southern part dry and grabbing caches and the Ad Labs. The Northern part was a bit wetter with having to dive for cover and wait a couple of times. Quick last stinky find. Thanks for the cache.
I spent the morning looking after the Grandkids while their parents worked from home. I dropped the kids off at daycare in time to have lunch then sleeps and set off to get todays geocaching targets.
I was hoping to grab a few puzzles, get the last two TMGT caches and head out towards the airport in plenty of time to collect my son at 6.30pm.
I was pleased as I achieved my goals and got 24 finds plus 2 labs for the day.
I parked up at 4.30pm and hoped I'd have enough time to do both sides of the island before dark. Headed off this way first for a nice walk in the fresh air. Well, fresh?? Actually it wasn't too pongy. A quick find. These containers certainly seal well. No sign of either Pooh, Piglet or any of the others. Thanks for the series that I have yet to complete

Needed to get out and about today, and going bush was not really an option, so headed over to this area as it had been a while since my last visit.....
Parked near by and broke out the bike for a quick ride around the area....
TFTC.

A not so mad day caching,.. but I certainly benefited! Out with Keylev and NZTravellers again. As they have all gotten most of the caches in this area, it was up to be to play catchup to these 2. They were feeling extremely charitable and I wasn't going to pass the opportunity up. Sure they used me for cache maintenance labour, but as long as I get to sign the logs, I don't very much care
Nice easy find. TFTC

Out on a GC bike tour today to boost out numbers and clean up this area.

Very quick find because cache was right in plane sight so decided to cover it up TFTC
No piglet ... but a scary red beetle and a sapphire!
A great day to be on Puketutu Island. Thanks
A great day to be on Puketutu Island. Thanks
Noted where this was going to be as we approached and the numbers ticked down. Soon had the log ready to sign and wondered if there was a Puzzle or Multi final along the way as there seemed to be room for a Fat Lady to do her warbling?
Our weekend plans of a ride out to Raglan were put on hold as our son and his family needed to head down to Auckland due to family reasons and we were able to put them up for the weekend. With uncertainty around what we were doing for the Saturday I put aside any caching plans and awaited the outcomes. We ended up going to the CITO, I then got to hang out with CyclicalCaching and his partner for one path around part of the island, then around the other way with alunb. Managed to get quite a few of the caches around here before a trip out to Sylvia Park for some retail therapy.

Thankfully the last of the stinky ones caused us no trouble at all - nice quick find, clean and dry. Thanks for a fun short series TFTC

Was worried the pest trap had been placed on top of this stinky cache as I couldn’t find it on first search. But with a better angle I glimpsed something within reach. Was further back than I expected but thankfully I found and grabbed it, signed and replaced to complete this side of the island. One left to go over the other side. Thanks for all the fun Pooh, Piggie et al have provided round here. It’s been a stinky pleasure.
Managed to find this one while the local Rentokill man was doing his rounds checking the vermin traps. Must have thought I was trying to convert one of them as there were 3 close to the GZ. Thanks CO for the series around the island. grabbed them all except 1.
Ok now things started to get real stinky. The log was wet but still k9nda signed it. Tftc. Ps its pitch black now...how do we get back to the car!! Eek
Found it right where the post said it was. Thank you for a lovely series of caches and helping us explore the island.
Two,people fishing, I am not so sure about the fish so close to the discharge. Quick easy find.
Found after a few false starts. Thank you for bringing us out here. I will be returning for a cycle or walk another day.
Quickly found. We had a brilliant time out here today. Awesome spot to bring people and do some geocaching. Thank you for another series of caches. Tftc
Great cache. Lovely sunny level 2 day. Papa cacher found this one for the team! Tftc
Nice hide & definitely water tight! Some nice horses whinneying nearby. Great opportunity to explore both sides of the island. Thanks again.
Didn’t see piglet but there are some sections I still have to do so will be sure to keep my eye out and direct him back to the corner if I see him. Thanks for this fantastic series!
#7647. The family is up in Auckland visiting the relatives over New Year. There is only so much socialising you can do in one day. Especially when there is a heap of untapped geocaches in all directions from where we are staying. So after lunch I got the chance to head over to Mangere to enjoy the bird life at high tide on the harbour and pick up a few more caches. Headed along the path to this one. Nice quick find of this stinker. Good to wrap up the series. Signed the logsheet and replaced the cache as found. Thanks G-2 for the cache.
Decided to take advantage of the reasonably good weather and head out to complete Puketutu Island. Invited my youngest nephew to join me for some one-on-one caching. I gave him my GPS and let him be our navigator, which he thoroughly enjoyed. All up we located 20 caches, had 3 DNFs and walked 10km.
A few snails were protecting the cache and a number of horses watched over us as we retrieved the cache from its hiding spot.

This is our second visit to new Zealand.... we love it!
For the first day and after a long flight from Europe, we decided to do a walk and look for some caches in this area before going on an adventure on the North Island.
Beautiful place not far from the city

Thanks G_2 for the geocache [^]

The third one today. I came to this place with my new friend Zuzka after visiting Ambury Farm Day. Peaceful, quiet island. Thank you.
Looked around for a few moments before uncovering this one, very close to a huge pile of horse poo! Would've been great to take some home for the garden! but alas thats the wrong hobby at the moment, so moving on! the kids were stoked to see some swag, even lil ms 1 who has graduated from a being a passenger geocacher to participant, so we did some swaps, tftc!
In Auckland for a few days so only aiming a few caches. Brought my bike up so had to use it on some of these. TFTC
With a significant milestone coming up, but still needing about 80 or so caches to get close to the mark a numbers mission was on the cards. With a few new trails placed around Auckland Airport this seemed to be the perfect place to start so having teamed up with Cats&Dragons and with the bikes in tow, we were all set.
As Cats&Dragons had already found a quite a few around this area we mainly focused on those caches that he hadn't found and I'd grab anything else we were also passing. The day was a great success, though we fell a few short of the number needed as we got rained out mid-afternoon.
A huge thanks to all the CO's who's caches we found. Some great quality hides too, which I'll mention in those logs.

A nice cache to end our puketutu adventure with! Dry and space for swag so we dropped a few things in it. TFTC!
The final in a terrific series. Thank you so much for all the great camo and a pretty walk. This one I was well and truly beaten to by Dragondefender, who got some speedy bike legs going for this.
A nice qucik find for us here with lovely views and in the beautiful sunshine.not too stinky at all.
On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but cheers to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords a straight forward placement. Cheers G-2 TFTC.

Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

Biked along here at dawn this morning for a quick find but is not my final Stinky, still have a few to get. TFTC
Went on a trail cycling trip here with a mate today, we were initially planning to cycle the perimeter of the island but then realized the tracks didn't connect. Picked up a few caches along the way along with a couple I had DNF'd previously.
This was the first cache we came to on this side of the island after cycling the length of the track. Quick find, and a good seat nearby to take a break and eat cake. Nice views, horses friendly too. TFTC

Quick find here but will need to come back for stinky 8 & 9 as they eluded me today. TFTC
Another quick trip for a half days caching to the South Auckland area in the company of kiwis69, 11HPH11 & RWIMF. All logs signed as HOLD (Hamilton OverAcheiving Latte Drinkers - ok, but that wasn't my idea).
left Hamilton after a sleep in at 5.30am as we were each on a promise to be home at a respectable time in mid afternoon, which for once we actually managed to achieve. Lots of laughs and the weather even managed to hold off for the morning which meant that we packed it in at about 1pm to head on home.
Cleared these few around here while the area was all quiet and walked in to GZ. Well remember the old series that was here and having the entire area cleared out some time back.
Had a great morning managing a total of 36 finds and four DNFs
Thanks for the cache, thanks for the placement.

Joined the early morning caching trip to Auckland with Cats&Dragons, 11hpg11 and RWIMF with logs signed as HOLD (Hamilton Overachieving Latte Drinkers), reflecting that the frequent requests for a (hot) coffee stop on a cold & then wet morning threatened to outnumber caches lol. Then again, caching on a day when no-one else wants to brave the elements means muggle-free straight forward searching. Yeah for caching in a group - good fun plus many eyes/hands makes for nice quick successful searches. Thanks for the cache.
