One or more of the following has occurred:

No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Should you like to resurrect the cache please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

It had been moved now inside as lid is broken and pen busted. Needs repairs

Two issues here that need fixing:
1. Cache container has a broken lid. It's a cheap Chinese takeaway plastic container, and not up to the usual standards for a geocache container. It urgently needs replacing with a better quality container.
2. Cache is not in the correct location. It's currently in plain view inside the bird hide, rather than hidden at its original coordinates.

We've been here before when another cache was located here, but approached from the opposite direction, this time arriving after parking at Coraki, and enjoying a "walk on shells" given the benefit of the low tide. We faithfully followed the directions given by the hint, and looked around the bird hide, thoroughly searching the bush and the tree near GZ, and sadly concluded the cache must have been muggled. But just at the point when we were ready to give up and head home, we decided to check the bird hide itself, and there was the cache, sitting in plain view on a shelf! We gladly signed the log, but maintenance will be required to fix the container and return it to its correct hiding place. TFTC.

Found before school geo session

Parked the car at Coraki Cottages and went for a pleasant stroll to find the “Lower King” caches. Took the beach route on a low tide to GZ after finding “A Creeky View”. Have visited this site previously from the other way when there was another cache in place. Container will need replacing as the elements will quickly make it very brittle.

TFTC! Don't know how much longer the log will stay dry as lid is cracked!

Thank you - lots of birdlife

Had visited the old cache and had come in from the land side. That seems to be out of bounds so this time was a lot more circuitous. But actually quite interesting to see the swampy areas and the banks of shells.
The cache was pretty easy to spot and has been found and signed by lots of muggles - Grammar kids I'd guess. Thanks Haydos for bringing me here again.

I originally set a cache here in the bird hide which went awol some time ago while we were overseas. So I was pleased to see that another one had been set in this great location. I was a bit disappointed with the exact spot and the standard of the cache container which has been pointed out previously will deteriorate. Fortunately the container is still intact although the log was a bit damp. I have been down to the hide on many pleasant days so I'm not quite sure why I chose this particular windy and occasionally very wet day to venture down along the foreshore battling a high tide and the nasty spears of the fallen paperbarks which caused me to veer off into the adjacent swamp. But I needed to get out of the house and I guess it made it more adventurous. However after retrieving the cache I took the safe option and headed back via the road into a howling wind and driving rain - that's geocaching for you....

Finished the mornings caching with this one. Rode in and on heading on to the gravel road from Lower King Road had a tan coloured dog come scrambling up to me with a bit of a growl. Raised my right foot ready to defend myself and yelled at it but was lucky it backed off. Found the road based tyres on the bike weren't too helpful in the muddy sections but knew they were there from the last cache I did at the location.

Didn't end up as muddy this time. Anyway, on to GZ and searched at indicated GZ before going back to the listing to see if there were any DNF's. Nope, none but read a log saying GZ was a bit out. Found the cache at a spot before getting to the hide. For a takeaway container it is holding up surprisingly well.

Great location. No snakes for me today. Didn't want to head back out to the dog so followed the trail in and popped out within the school grounds to make my getaway.

Made the walk out here this morning and after quite a search I broadened the search and made the find 9 meters from GZ on my GPS.
Great place, but I'm sure a better place to visit in the wetter months as it was quite dry. TFTC

Whilst birding thought I would give this one a go even though I didn't have the co-ords with me. An easy find whilst picking up rubbish around the hut. Put away carefully so the contents remain dry.

FTF! 613pm. Saw the notification come down whilst I was at work and waited til home time to tackle this one, thinking it would likely be gone.

Came to GZ and made a search of the hut, turned up nothing and then I read the listing which said lunchbox and not on the hut. Searched all the obvious spots and made a nice find near the tree, several meters from GZ.

Thanks for the new placement in the area.

It appears the CO is a newbie so please don't take this to heart. It's great to have new players in the game.

You've found a great spot for a cache, one that took me to an interesting place I wouldn't have otherwise visited. So thank you.

When placing geocaches, they are placed for the long term, so a sturdy container that will withstand reasonable conditions; rain, heat, wildlife etc. A Chinese takeaway container will not last long, and is certainly not water tight. This will need to be changed to something like a sistema container or similar, which is somewhat water proof. I would also suggest putting the log sheet in a snap lock bag.

Normal trade items are customary for the kids to swap, items such as lip balm will inevitably leek through the container wrecking the contents and log sheet in the process, so this will need to be removed.

Otherwise is was a good placement that had me looking around. Thanks for that

If you need any assistance don't be afraid to drop me an email.

Thanks
Regards
Steve
