Placed in 2014 and this one found over 250 times. The Fruit & Veges around the loop are now pretty deteriorated, no longer water proof & generally quite gross - No longer bright, crisp and fun to find. A lot of new houses around the road now too. Time to archive the series....(cache has been removed)....
Container has a hole in it so the wee notebook is stuffed. Added a waterproof log. Tftc.
Today I drove to Kaiapoi to find some Geocaches and do a little bit of the powertrail towards Oxford.

Arrived into the S.I today. Our 1st stop was to pick up our Juicy van & then hit the road towards the westcoast.
We chose the area of the lolly scramble to take us towards our destination. We stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
We found such a variety of containers along this route, a nice war to start our trip.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.
Thanks for placing this cache Team_Gaters

TFTC - Quickly found while up here today with some spare time before I catch up with 2 grand children
TFTC and maintaining these caches. Great to be able to come up here and grab a couple of caches. Really enjoyed this series. What fun - and it would be a great trail for the grandkids to join me on.

I am amazed at how such bright containers that are so easy to find have not been ruined by people who don't get what we do. This is probably my most enjoyable day caching yet, I really really enjoyed finding such an array of containers, many of which I have never seen before. I found myself imagining what I might find at the next stop. This is definately a trail I will bring my grandkids to if I ever get to bring them to CHCH. Thanks so much for the enjoyment I have had today

Found on a bike ride along the Eyre road on a cold day in winter. Gosh there's lots of traffic. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Wow what a day, started at 7.30 just as daylight was arriving and the misty rain had me worried, turned out to be a great day with a total of 120 caches not the goal I had set myself (next time we are here we will try the 270 in a day again) but still a great goal at 120, thank you for placing and maintaining the caches we found, sorry for the copy and paste logs we had many to find and only recorded if damage or logs replaced. - replaced log bag
Great cache and great container. A nice quick find here. I was expecting it to be abit more concealed but nope. Tftc
#3603. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Decided today I would do the lolly scramble series of caches along this road and any other caches encountered. It was a really enjoyable series with well themed containers. Once I got my eye in, the finds sped up as the day progressed. Certainly a very warm early autumn day (high of 29 degrees). Quickly found. After finding the exploding chocolate nearby this has to be a healthier alternative, although small gas explosions are still a risk with some people. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
The only healthy cache of the day! Saurkraut, stir fried, coleslaw - yum, yum, yum! Tftc!
Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Long trip, but surprisingly we arrived there very tired, almost two days and two nights without sleep, but it took just 24 hours we got used to the new day.
Having Been to Akaroa and Kaukoura, and trail AHHH FRESH, today we decide to make a part of the trail from Kaiapoi to Oxford, we will find many cache, not the other will find, before we left we had decided to devote no more than three minutes for each cache, if it was not passed over it, some need maintenance, beautiful landscape and few cars on the course.
Thank you for suggesting this trail
Greetings from Italy

After the CITO event at Woodend Beach, we took the scenic route back to Christchurch to find a cache or three .
This was another easy find and another where I'm sure the colour of the cache has faded somewhat. TFTC.

After a few days staying with family in Chch we started heading north again and with no family commitments we focused on finishing the Lolly Scramble trail and hunting down the horses 101 series. The day also included a few other caches with our tally for the day being 92.The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.
Thank you to all the cache owners for making this possible.

It was a combination of holidays, family visit and caching. Since our last visit lots of trails have appeared and there were many puzzles to be solved. And a lot of trads thrown in for good measure. We almost forgot what it's like to be cut, scraped, prodded, pricked, bruised and stabbed by the large variety of hedges you can find caches under in Canterbury. We were not deterred and it was fun to find them. On our way home again and trying to find as many caches as pos. In the end they made us stay another night in the area Thank you Team Gaters
Moved to the Swannanoa district in June 2015, about time I checked a few GC’s out in the hood. Found it while taking a roundabout drive to Kaiapoi. Had the GZ to myself, although a few vehicles whizzed past they were all too busy to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to, quick easy find, Cabbage not my favorite vege OK as coleslaw not OK boiled and all soggy!, TFTH (catching up on logging my finds)
Decided that on my last day of my holiday I'd do a blitz in the area before I fly home tomorrow, now a very tired bunny!
what a long (straight) road that is. followed the one or other series... nice caches. All easy to find and spot on. very creative and themed containers. loving it. thanks from Austria
Came out with wee dude on a fruit and vegetables maintenance run. Log was sopping wet. Replaced with a new one plus a new plastic bag.
Wending our way home after Christmas in Hanmer Springs with most of the family so thought we'd take a slight detour and try and collect the rest of the LS series. Didn't do too badly by the end and with a few fruit and veg to keep it healthy. I was "allowed" to find this one as it was one my side of the car! TFTC
Found this while doing the lolly scramble series. Will return for the fruit and vege loop soon. TFTC!
This was the third find for us on the Fruit and Vege Loop. Looking forward to coming back and getting the rest of them. Tftc.
Sorry about the generic logging but I have many to log from the mega in Kaiapoi.
I had a wonderful time at the Mega with my Mum and Nanna, I couldn’t have imagined it any better myself!

This was my second visit to Christchurch in as many weeks, a fortnight ago I flew down for the Mega event with my family in tow, this time I was down to attend a conference held at the school of Education. My wife generously agreed to allow me to stay an extra day (and night) to explore the city and do some Geocaching. I made the most of the opportunity and found just over a hundred caches during my visit. Having already completed the ‘cutlery’ series earlier in the day nearby I decided to soldier on and find some Geocaching sweetness by having a crack at the Lolly Scramble series (with the odd detour here and there).
I couldn't help but wonder you would get a container like that....

It had been such a crazy day, and I had had no time to find a cache earlier, as we were busy trying to fit an actual benchtop into our kitchen.
So very last thing of the evening, cache time.
After finding one, and DNFing one, this was really the next closest easy terrain cache for late at night.
At first mum who was in charge of GPS made us overshoot! But came back, and made the find instantly... now over to bed! - Just had really wanted to find a second one to get ahead on this next goal of 5 times over on the calendar! (Like this if I continue streaking, I'll be 5 times over by 3rd Oct instead of by 1st Nov! )
Consec caching day # 1092

Daughter started telling me such interesting things from the weekend that I forgot to look at the gps and we overshot by a mere 3.1km... Never mind, U-turn and back we went! Nice quick find of a cool container, TFTC!!
Today was allocated to be the day to do a run up South Eyre Rd to sample all the different lollies. Also to sign off other trads that were in/on the way.
Cheers for the cache.

Out for some Mega caching with Kyzabra, Jinta29, Gunnie69 and Ghostgums.Saw some beautiful countryside today and had a blast caching. Thank you %owner for placing and maintaining this cache.
Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. Today we were joined by The Green Geckos today and we targeted some of the larger series around this area.
We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.
We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks Team_Gaters for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
This is my find #4356 and find #14 today.

We have had a ball over here. Personally my first trip to NZ. The cache owners have been great and Ive enjoyed meeting people aling the way.
i apologise in advance for the generic log.

[green] Out with Hanknstone, Haydn.seek and thestepahine on an awesome 200+ day. We managed to get 210 caches in 11 hours, an average of 3 minutes each. There were a few awesome caches out there, but mostly it was a blur. Thanks to all the cache owners, and my apologies about the cut and paste!
Hanknstone, Haydn.seek, the Seagnoid and I had a challenge of doing 200 caches in a day. We started at 7:30am and finished around 8:00pm with a total of 200+. Apologies for the copy and pasting of the logs but there were so many we found that it would take so long to write them all up individually! Thank you for the find.
The next on our 210 run finding caches for the day with our team of four- HHSS. Working as a team each doing diff. roles we were able to speed up the find rate quite well and we managed to do about the first 100 with no Did Not Finds but after that the distances increased and the find rate dropped but we still managed to finish the day with 210 cache. The seagnoid has planned etc our route so it was all efficient Thank you to The Seagnoid for this pre work and thank you to the different cache Owners for these great, interesting caches. I just ;loved the huge chupps chup and all the veges and fruit. . Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.
I came back to Christchurch for Mega 2015. Many for a great time and of course the cache

Only tolerate eating cabbage as the flow on effects are just not worth it - will accept the smiley from finding and signing the log though.
Out and about with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) finding a great mix of cache hides and cache containers. What a mad bunch of cachers to be with, loads of fun and games with very little sleep over the 3 nights of the MEGA TFTC.
Out doing some of the Lolly Scramble series this afternoon and collecting the occasional healthy piece of fruit and vege along the way. We liked the container here. Thanks.
Out and about during the mega event with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke). This was one of the caches we found during the weekend. TFTC!!!
Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.
Well themed caches and a great trail, quick find TFTC
