Out for a late morning / afternoon dander with mrs_sgtzara and Tigra, our German Shepherd Dog with the aspiration being to find 11 caches. Why 11 you may ask? We'd our eyes on 4 caches in Bog Meadows and 7 caches in Falls Park which we'd yet to find which would result in those areas being awash of smiley faces.

By the time we'd finished though, we'd only found 7 out the 11 we'd targeted having DNF'd 4, 2 in Bog Meadows and 2 in Falls Park. No big dramas though, we enjoyed exploring these parts of Belfast and it just means we'll have an excuse to return sometime.

It was a lovely morning for a walk, reasonably mild for this time of year with the sun making a welcome appearance too .... bliss! A fair number of other folk where out and about taking advantage of the good weather too.

Once we'd finished caching, we stopped past Spoon Street in Ballyhackamore to enjoy a 'fro-yo', a welcome refreshment after a lovely walk.

Anyhow, as for this cache, we made our way out to this one after failing to find Mural in the meadows http://coord.info/GC5CDH6

As the CO states, you certainly get a right view of Milltown Cemetery on the approach to GZ. For one reason or another, I'm sure almost everyone in Northern Ireland knows of it and indeed while I've driven past it plenty of times, I've yet to visit same. I've no family buried there but there is a certain draw to it, I wouldn't mind taking a wee wonder through it some day from a historical point of view.

Today was not the day for that though for today we geocache!

Once at GZ, after 2 x DNF's in a row we were beginning to wonder if we were losing our geocaching mojo but nope, this one was spotted quickly and the deed done. Pleased to report that your replacement log remains nice and dry.

On the way back to the car park (through the fence), we spotted a very 'sparse' section of the graveyard and closer examination of same revealed that babies were buried there with one cross stating, 'RIP Unknown Baby'. Very sad. We paused for a moment of reflection before continuing on and paused again to watch a few minutes of a Camogie game.

I am killing time waiting on my instrument in the hospital to reach a working vacuum. I approached GZ wondering what I was looking for and ready for a bit of a search. Something out of place caught my eye and my search was over in seconds. A nice hide. The earwigs certainly think so. I had entered the park from the hospital side and have only just twigged I have been here before. I was looking for two non-existent caches back then. It's nice to learn more about the layout of Belfast. I'll give this a favourite point. TFTC.
