Was this a positive experience with nothing negative to say about it, or a negative experience with nothing positive to say about it? All I know is that I keep going back and forth on it about 50 times a second.
Great hide - was a bit wet but not sure why as seems like it should be waterproof.
TFTC! Saw a lot of bugs on the cache so did not touch and sign. Thanks for the pleasant walk!
Quick find on a windy walk out to the point. Watched the swans desperately trying to fly into the wind. Tftc
Just as we got to this cache, it really started to rain. We ducked under some trees nearby, and after it finished we were able to locate the cache. Thanks for the hide.
Im visiting family in Auckland and today my husband was going to a site visit nearby, so decided it was the perfect opportunity to find some caches here. Another easy find and again, no sign of the previous finder. There were signs that the cache container hadnt been moved in some time. Bit damp inside but ok with the inner. Tftc
#473Sorry to hear about the passing of someone close to you. RIP Uncle Brian. Cache was wet inside, but I tipped the water out and it should be OK now.
The rain is so that means geocaching! There are a few in the island so hoping to smash out them all! Armed with raincoats, trail shoes, some swappables, 3 pens (as I like to lose them) and a friend!
Thanks to COs for placing and maintaining!

We found this one while out on a morning run before our flight home. We didn't have a pen sorry. We were surprised to see a cyclist out on a road bike. It was pretty wet and muddy and the person was slightly splattered.
Spotted the hiding place as we approached, then spotted a very interesting, very big and fat spider hanging out just above it.
Nice quick find here, no pen today as came out to do the ad lab and we are horrible at planning & multi tasking
Jup and I were doing the Puketutu Island adventure lab, and we ended up turning around here after 2 out of 3 stages because of the puddles just ahead. We had skipped many caches in the first half of the hike, so we still had some on the way back.
Hubby spotted this from the track before I got to GZ so I covered it up a bit better after I had signed the log. TFTC
A nice wander round parts of the island today doing some of the adventure lab and grabbing a few caches along the way. We will definitely be back with our bikes in tow next time. A nice quick find here today, had to be discreet with all the passing cyclists. Tftc
A few hours to kill before having to pick up my daughter at Auckland Airport so headed over to Puketutu Island. Arrived at car park and absolutely poured down. After sitting in car for 15 minutes it cleared and managed to get around the southern part dry and grabbing caches and the Ad Labs. A quick find. Thanks for the cache
I appreciated this find and how you honored someone special to you. Nice to be a part of that.
Found it while on a walk on Saturday (9-7-22) night.
Had located it when we were in level 3 while I was doing the adventure lab.
But didn't touch it due to the level restrictions.
Finally got to get back and fill out the log.
Thanks G-2

After spending a few minutes admiring the view and waiting out the weekend walkers, this was a great find
Log edited and resubmitted to ensure it qualifies for the current souvenir challenge.
After getting soaked in the Coromandel this morning, I decided to cut my losses and head back to AKL. I had 2 hours before I need to get the hire car back, so headed here for the AL and an "Unfinished Business" challenge cache nearby. I then discovered this little series so how could I refuse?
This one was easy! .TFTC G_2, another good one.

I spent the morning looking after the Grandkids while their parents worked from home. I dropped the kids off at daycare in time to have lunch then sleeps and set off to get todays geocaching targets.
I was hoping to grab a few puzzles, get the last two TMGT caches and head out towards the airport in plenty of time to collect my son at 6.30pm.
I was pleased as I achieved my goals and got 24 finds plus 2 labs for the day.
I parked up at 3.30pm and hoped I'd have enough time to do both sides of the island before dark. Got back from the other side at 4.30 and headed off this way after moving the car out incase I wasn't back before the gates got locked at 5.30. This was as far out as I went on this side. I was feeling a bit tired of walking and time was getting along. Thanks for the powerful memorial cache for your Uncle Brian

Quick find, but during my walk I got so into the zone I walked past it. Luckily that coincided with someone coming the other way, which meant that my turnaround allowed me to grab the cache unobserved. Thank!
Needed to get out and about today, and going bush was not really an option, so headed over to this area as it had been a while since my last visit.....
Parked near by and broke out the bike for a quick ride around the area....
TFTC.

Just about got muggled here. Spotted the biker just before picking it up, so waited for him to move on. He was to take photos at two other spots where caches were on the way out, so looked for them on the return. TFTC G2, all good.
A not so mad day caching,.. but I certainly benefited! Out with Keylev and NZTravellers again. As they have all gotten most of the caches in this area, it was up to be to play catchup to these 2. They were feeling extremely charitable and I wasn't going to pass the opportunity up. Sure they used me for cache maintenance labour, but as long as I get to sign the logs, I don't very much care

Out on a GC bike tour today to boost out numbers and clean up this area.

This is one of those caches that could be found by intuition, as it was I used the GPS/phone and the cache was easily found. I'm miffed with myself that I never had a search for the 2 disabled ones out this way, just in case they were still there.
Our weekend plans of a ride out to Raglan were put on hold as our son and his family needed to head down to Auckland due to family reasons and we were able to put them up for the weekend. With uncertainty around what we were doing for the Saturday I put aside any caching plans and awaited the outcomes. We ended up going to the CITO, I then got to hang out with CyclicalCaching and his partner for one path around part of the island, then around the other way with alunb. Managed to get quite a few of the caches around here before a trip out to Sylvia Park for some retail therapy.

Thanks Glynn for a nice tribute cache to Uncle Brian - we have enjoyed finding his caches over the years. RIP Uncle Brian - TFTC

Another good cache on the trail. Some earth moving vehicles were close but out of our sight. Logged the cache and dropped a TB as it looked safe and clean. Thanks CO for the cache.
After a not-this-year-Mega-weekend, where we had gone to the tribute cache, chased crayons for a morning, found challenge caches, found TMGT caches, today was a bit of a Mangere and Puketutu hangout day.

Last day in Auckland for some of our Southland group, checked out of accommodation, had breakfast nearby, still time to grab some caches, concentrating not too far from the airport... no missing planes for us!
A Puketutu Island adventure on the cards so we headed off to find some caches and complete an AdLab.
Nice walk along the track, wish I hadda donned some sunscreen! Quick find, the geosenses working well today tftc

Came out to do the adventure lab and tick off some regular caches as well.
A nice find with some things to entertain the assistant.

Nice day to go out with geo mates for a walk.
Thanks for these...

Uncle Brian's cache was a swimming pool so we emptied it all out and dried the log for a while. We did everything in our power to help.
Tftc. This is a beautiful place. We are glad geocaching is helping us explore out city.
Totally enjoying our wander along here. Glad we chose this place to come. Easily found. Tftc
Quick easy find but still ended up with ants crawling over my feet & up my legs! Unfortunately no log to sign so grabbed a photo of cache container itself instead. Nice walk or bike around these ways - quite a few taking advantage today. Thanks for placing.

In Auckland for a few days for my daughters wedding this afternoon. Before she announced her wedding date, I had planned to get at least 96 caches of various types sizes and D/T ratings etc. to get my find numbers up to 101 and as my other leap day achievemnets as possible. However once she anoounced leap day as her wedding day I had to pare back my goals for the day to just finding 21 caches as quick as I could first thing in the morning. I chose this area for the concentration of caches. Unfortunately, being under time pressure, if I couldn't find a cache within a couple of minutes, I had to move on. This cache was easily found. TFTC.
