As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Nope. We found Doug but when there were no muggles we searched top and bottom and found nothing
Looks like it has recently been painted and that could explain the missing cache.

Had a good feel about which I thought would be enough to locate the little beggar, but no luck, so had to resort to hands and knees, but no joy here.
Approached this one heading upstream, so could see the obvious spot from a distance and then the container itself as I approached. I hate these nanos but, as OF said, nothing else would work there, and it is a spot worth stopping at. Thanks for the info, both OF and daywalk.

We were keen to pick this one up, but the young lady sitting at the seat didn't look like she was going to be moving in a hurry, so PC Sniff and I had to leave this one for another day.
Pretty obvious spot but with such a great day a lone muggle was resting right on the cache, never mind a good excuse to come back.
Very behind on logs, but this was a lovely day out and about with CJ-Curry, thanks for making such a great trail
The final stop for Hevic and myself along the stream this afternoon - and, coincidentally, my 1,250th find. I put my hand to this one, and sat there for a little bit lapping up the incoming (very light) rain and surrounds. A great way to end our day, cheers!
Very nice morning for a stroll - or so it seemed until I got to the parking spot. Gail force winds hit me as soon as I got out of the car, but luckily that was all before the rain came. Such a nice spot to contemplate life, even in the wind - or perhaps even better in the wind! TFTC!!

A quick easy find after watching a helicopter land at the airport across the stream. TFTC
It is funny how a thing sticks in your mind- what do you call an irishman with a spade - seemed to stick in mine after I read the cache name.
Thanks

First time on a Road Trip caching in about 8 Months, have a great day out this was one of abour 60 odd caches found. Many thanks Bitsprayer
Quick find thanks, geo toddler got to watch a helicopter take off, fascinating
Another quick find on a lovely evening. Had to rush a bit as muggles were approaching. TFTC
Alyssa was so quick I didnt even get the chance to get off my bike for this one!!!! shes one in a million, so loving the new gps, dont know how we ever managed to do this with a phone, it always went flat, thanks for the cache experience and have left a few out here so we have a chance to come back fossicking again
Whiskasnz and I enjoyed watching the four small planes that were practicing their take offs and landings right across from GZ. It was exciting watching them zooming down the runway towards us then flying straight overhead. The cache was quickly found but it took forever to extract the log - in the end a twig helped! TFTC
We found Doug and the cache and watched the four planes taking off and landing across the stream. It was fun. TFTC
Lots of dog walking muggles out but the seat is a good place to just sit (and sign the log) Found with debsnz
It took twice as long to extract the log as it did to find but at least we had Doug to sit with [:p] Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Located Doug and the cache. Thanks OF for the neat series of new caches. Will leave the one at the other end of the track until our next visit. TFTC
Found at 12:51:00 p.m. on 6/11/2014.

Spent too long looking for this one. Checked out a seat, a daisy or two, some long grass and anything that could harbor a cache. And just as I was about to give up ... magic ! there's the devil ! ... Good one Doug, I am sure you had a hand in all this and enjoyed watching from afar.
We've a photo of the log if required. Won't post this one as it gives the game away somewhat. Superdog also found the munzee. TFTC. Threw some obligatory stones into the river.
We found Doug! At least a little bit... Doug Jenkins was active in the Taieri Recreational Tramping Club and President one year. And it looks as if he was No 8 on the Taieri Rugby Club team which won the local championship in 1955

Parked at the library and walked with Mrs Daywalk Senior through the gardens (pussy willows, camellias), past the new one and and along the Silverstream (lambs, happy dogs being walked). Sat and enjoyed the sunshine with gratitude to Doug and the Rotary club. Then into the wind on the way back... always enjoy an excuse for a stroll and cache along the Silverstream, thanks OF!

Not that it's hugely important but no-one seems to have claimed the FTF on this. As I said in my Found log I assumed I was 2TF as someone had written something on the logsheet before me but I couldn't decipher it. I assumed it was the FTF. Woody is the only other person who found on the same day as me and he was there presumably around tea-time as his log says. I was there just after lunch. Did the CO write anything on the logsheet when the cache was hidden? Again, it's not important but I pedantically keep records of all my finds and if I was FTF I'd like to note the fact in the record. Anyone else believe they were there before me?
Nice short walk.... before the rain!!
Been here before to scan the QR..

I walked past here twice a day for ten years. I put it in the GPS but I didn't need it once I had a closer look at the map, and read the description. All done between muggles with dogs. Thanks.
Pretty sure I was only the 2TF. Something written on logsheet before me but couldn't decipher it. Saw a helicopter take off from the aerodrome while I was here. Take care if walking a dog here. The stream periodically becomes affected by toxic algae so best to keep the pooch out of the water to be on the safe side. TFTC.
Out this way again. This time for tea with in laws who live nearby. Nice to find another one published and it's another dot day as well.
Not so nice is the rain, oh well it's only 170m or so. A quick find of the expected.
