After a quick scramble around, was a DNA for us. Hopefully not washed away in the recent rains...
Such a beautiful perfect geocaching place. We looked in the obvious spot, but our first glance, was a glance, not a look. So, after a bit of a wander we properly looked and there it was. Thanks for the fun. Great place to stop on our way towards Eildon.
A quick park and find on the way back from a day trip to Buxton and the cathedral. Clever - tftc
Found with dalerious on an awesome weekend away enjoying every part of this diverse playground. Really loved the camo on this one. Expertly done.
Found with catnap777 on our long weekend adventure to the Cathedral Mountains.
Having done the whole altitude hiking thing on Friday, it was nice to have a more chilled Saturday with a few caches like this one a little closer to the side of the road.
This was as close as we got to entering this forest this time, but now that we know just how accessible it is, there will definately be a next time.
What a very well constructed cache. [^] It certainly makes me rethink one or two Clever Monkey DNFs I have earned over the years.
Teach us your ways oh wise primate.

We are heading back to Melbourne after spending a few days in Eildon and we took a slight detour to enter the forest. At GZ we searched for a few minutes without luck before rechecking the likely spots and refocussing our search - and there it was. This hide was well done and deserves a favourite. Thanks to Clever Monkey for the cache.
Thank you Clever Monkey. Thanks also for showing me this road in to the Black Hills, driven past many times but never realised that it was there, looks like a driveway. Food for exploration in the future. regards from Victor
So sadddd. Desperately wanted to see what this clever hide looked like but it was too hard for us
After a climb in the Cathedral ranges came back onto the flat to pick up a few on the way home. TFTC
Awesome hide. After defeating my fear of snakes and spiders, quick and easy find. Thanks for the hide!
Find #4089. Found @ 20:08
After we'd had some dinner at the Buxton Pub, we decided to divert back to the accommodation via the nearest trad so that I could make another find in the area. On arrival at the general GZ area, it started to rain for a bit, so I checked the most recent logs before leaving the car. I saw a couple of DNFs but I continued on to the indicated coordinates anyway.
After looking at my pre-conceived ideas and finding that they didn't pan out, I figured that the DNFs might be right, but spotted one more likely contender that was a little harder to get to. On making the contortions to inspect there I, one again, came up empty handed... but I spotted something else instead. This was the cache. I made my mark, then returned the cache and returned to the car.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Clever Monkey

Found a likely spot for the cache but nothing was found. Searched for about 10 mins and walked away with a DNF

Stayed the night close by for the night as I was making my way towards Melbourne for the weekend. Would be a ridiculous thing to stay 100mt away from the cache and not make the find.
Cache is probably a bit easier to find than it used to be with the geotrail and some missing camo, but I like the idea.

This one had me going for a little while as I made my way around the tree looking at the wrong elevation until I just happened to look the right way at the right time and spotted the cache.
It is starting to lose some of its camoe so the fiberglass gave it away but it is certainly a very nice hide.
**Thanks to Clever Monkey for placing this cache.**

We had a look for this one but couldn't find it today. My GPS was bouncing all over the place and would oftern do a 180° change of direction. I hope it's still there. My thanks to Clever Monkey for placing it.
caching with butchie bum, amazing how many times 2 people can look at a cache and not see it, then you look from a slightly different angle and there it is, tftc
Very cool indeed! Collected this one on our way back to Melbourne after attending the Mega. I think we were lucky to find this one pretty quick.
Found 19/11/17 with LouJean1970
I think our GeoSenses where on point after being at the Alexandra Mega all weekend. This is a really cool hide, loved the camo.
Thanks for the hide

Found 19/12/17 with TaylorHunters09. This was my favourite find of my first ever Mega weekend. I loved the whole experience of this cache, from the moment we turned off the main road and crossed the one way bridge, to entering the forest, to spotting of the cache itself. What an amazing location and a fabulous cache. Thank you so much, definitely a favourite point here
Arrived in Adelaide with JACS Team on Friday and met up with Ardom for a road trip to the Alexandra Mega with a stop at Bendigo. Spent yesterday caching a fish and today picking up bits and pieces.. We all had caches we wanted to grab for different reasons and this was one of them! Thanks for placing
Making our way to the airport following the mega event. Still some energy to grab a few more caches along the way! This is a well designed cache that initially fooled me. TFTC.
Heading on our way to the Mega event. Told the wife “I’m popping to the shops, see you in a while” go go go! Need to find 18 cache on the way to log the Mega as 19th and my 5000 cache. On a mission today, should be fun. TFTC Clever Monkey
A MEGA was being held this year in Alexandra, and what a fantastic event it proved to be. Fantastic location, great activities and some amazing caches all lead to an awesome weekend. This was one of the caches I found during my travels of the area over the weekend.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

Found this one after going for some 4WD adventures on some secret business. Took a while, nice hide!
I'll have to explore Project Rd one day, I've heard there's a few clearings and camping spots in the area.
Took much longer than it should have but eventually found the elusive cache. Unfortunately some of the camp might have come off and it's much easier to see than I suspect CO wanted. Despite this it took me ages to find! What a fragile tree chimney you have to go past. Barely 1cm thick and bits falling off almost every time you touch it.
What a great cache. Took a little while to find but was worth the effort. Great country side too.
Wow - a favourite for camo! Nothing like this type to undermine geosense for awhile!! TFTC!
Heading through to Alexandra this morning and decided to grab a few caches on the way with Happy Feet, we followed our gps and searched around and came up empty handed we ended up having to have a better look and sure enough we soon found a well hidden cache. Very sneaky Clever Monkey, thanks for the cache.
Heading home today after some time away for the New Year. Picking up a few cache while in this area. This was a nice hide.
Thanks Clever Monkey for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Out on a random outing today. I was not overjoyed when I pulled up fo find it suddenly hailing! Not golf balls or anything, but enough to make me impatient to return to my car. Oh, and did I mention the saturating rain that accompanied the aforementioned hail? So here I am, thoroughly saturated and being pelted with hail. I thought of sunny skies and started my search. Sigh. I was surprised to find the burnt trees were really spongy and soft to the touch eeew. Where is manzie when I need him? All good though, it didn't actually take very long to find the sneaky cache. Then I had to find somewhere to sign the log without covering it in hail. Makeshift cover located, I quickly signed log and replaced cache as found before rushing back to the lovely dry car. TFTC!
Very very cheeky hide love it found with geo wife she spotted it first very clever mr monkey loved it very cool have had a great Monday out and about nice bit of river along here favourite point from me for the sneaky simplicity
Haha Very Clever .. Mr monkey! .. Let's just say you need to look at every angle when out geocaching! ..
On a day's adventure with the kids on the mid year school holidays...collecting some very clever caches. Brilliant cache... the kids kept saying Morcs4 will never give up. Just as we had spent too much time and were about to give up I managed to find it. Yeah, Morcs4 will never give up. Only because I approached from a different angle. Thanks for the cache Clever Monkey. Heading up to Buxton to go trout fishing and then to Nan's at Granton, doing caches along the way. Fishing next.
Happy Easter and happy caching. Pleased to say we found this sneaky cache in our Sunday best after attending Easter Morning Church at Buxton. A well thought out cache site, name and container. SL at 9.40am Took a couple of photos and continued on our way towards Melbourne. #3491 TFTC clever monkey
Mr Morris bought me a tour of Rochford winery on a segway followed by a delicious lunch so we headed to Narbethong to camp for the weekend. After setting up camp we headed out to find a few of the local caches. we did a couple of laps around the item before spotting the nicely crafted container.

Brilliant. What an excellent hide. We spent at least 30 min. going around in circles before Geoturtle37 spotted the cache. We must have both looked right at it more than once before we cottoned on, it definitely gets a favourite point from us. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Took us about 5 minutes with a bit of help from some of the previous logs. Really awesome and well camouflaged. Tftc!
That was epic, took about 30 mins to find great camouflage. There is a clue in a previous log.
A favorite from me, I enjoyed finding this well constructed cache.

Heading for the open gardens in Alexandra with jcody and picking up some caches along the way. This is not a cache for ones Sunday best and it took two laps of gz before jcody spotted it.
I jubilantly proclaimed on fb that this was our 2000th cache, but on countback at journeys end it seems that I can't count and this is 2001. Ooh well. What's a cache or two among friends. We liked this one better.
Later on, in our days travels, we passed monkey central and managed to get a glimpse of what could well be mega BBQ material in a few weeks. Yum.

Visited this cache on my return drive to Melbourne from Cathedral Ranges State Park. I parked on the side of the road and as dusk began to settle, entered into the forest to begin my search. I was searching and wondering for quite awhile before I spotted this nicely camouflaged cache. I paused halfway through my hunt to read logs and one in particular was very helpful in narrow down my search area. Armed with that info, quickly spotted the cache with the help of my phone torch.
SL & replaced. Cache is in good condition. Another Clever Monkey cache found! Very much appreciated!

What a fantastic hiding spot..well planned. Took the trackable (with Merkuri ). Will carry it on to our next adventure.
Another great hide by Clever Monkey! Found with Uvtorch. I really enjoyed this one & the effort put into it. Great to hear the river flowing past this little forest. TFTC
Found on the way back from Melbourne with bluewren88. What a cool little spot! The sound of flowing water was the perfect soundtrack to our search which fortunately wasn't too long as bluewren88 spotted a very well camouflaged cache reasonably quickly. I remember standing on the other side of this river as you waded through the water to check if this cache was still okay, Clever Monkey, just barely keeping your phone out of the water thanks for this great cache!
The name is a good clue for an obvious hiding place, but where is the bl..... thing?
Oh very clever!!! It took some time but Faulksi spotted it from the inside. Thanks Clever Monkey. #5 for the day. A fav I think

Found with Mr Coffee. This one didn't take us too long although I do have to wonder how the CO managed to get that there! Maybe some help from other family members? LOL A little of the camo is coming away despite the obvious efforts at making it solid. Still OK for now though.
Parked the geovan on the highway as unsure of parking at GZ and walked 250m to the cache.
After a short search Mr T made the find and we were very impressed with the quality and creativity of the hide.
A well deserved favourite point awarded. TFTC

GPS kept guiding me to a large object just inside the forest. I spent at least an hour searching inside, outside and around that object without luck had a good look around the general area. Must be a very clever hide.
entering the forest in the rain. just part of caching. after an extended search we were about to PAF, when I had one last look and noticed something. very well placed cache. thanks

Just dropped in to do a quick cache on the way home... turns out to be not so quick! Had a good idea of where to look but everything was blended into the scenery so well! Eventually the geoboyfriend found it with his keen eye. Only a clever monkey could come up with this one! tftc
I was spending the day doing rally preparations in the forests on the other side of the highway and I was grabbing some caches close to where I was going. This one was on the way home and I noticed that no finds had been logged yet so had to have a hunt. It was dark as I parked at GZ so grabbed the torch and started the hunt. Not giving anything away with this one other than as the description says, it isn't a cache under a rock, just a very well thought out and crafted hide. Thanks to Clever Monkey for this one, a fave from me - and woohoo another FTF!!!!
