I approached this cache carefully as the grass has grown very tall here, above my waist. I recommend bringing a big stick to wade in front of you and some keys to jingle to ward off snakes. I continued through the grass and came upon another scene of fallen branches and hangers stuck in canopies. This was the only cache in this series that was clearly displaced, the container lying out in the open next to half of a trunk that had split off. After signing I placed the cache into a fairly obvious crevice in the tree I think it came from originally. This turned out to be my last find in this series, as #23 evaded me. TFTC!!
DAY 7
After much planning, saving and extra mods to the 4WD we are finally on our way to Longreach to take part in the QOGM festivities. A short stopover in Coffs Harbour visiting relatives has us enjoying the mild weather, the great scenery and not to mention a cache or 2.
With Toormina our base on every trip to Coffs this series has taunted us on our map. We have always wanted to tackle it but time has been against us. Not this time however! The fit Triton set off from Boambee Headland Lookout and worked backwards towards Boambee Beach access car park where the other team member picked him up.
A pleasant day to walk along the old trail in the scrub with plenty of shade to keep cool. A few bush turkeys, watching from afar keeping their distance while going about their own business.
All hides easy finds with good coordinates.
Thanks blissbaby for the series placement.

We had been looking forward to this walk, since we planned a visit to Coffs!
As suggested we set out fairly early with extra water and hoping to ride the trail. Perhaps the most disappointng trail we have attempted. The trail is non-existant in spots, doesn't have any markers, is overgrown and unmaintained, which is a real disappointment, as it could be a real tourist asset for the region.
Our bike riding soon came to an end when there was no further trail! We pushed our trusty treadlies through prickles, grass and sand to complete the trail.
Whilst many of the caches were wet, the majority of coordinates were spot on and made the finding of the many Micro's imitating the listed Size of 'Small' that much easier.
Rescued the following trackables:
- Cpt. Sharky Watson (TB61QH1)
- Cody Maverick (TB8DXX7)
Thanks to blissbaby for adding this series to the gameboard.

We've been holidaying down in Coffs Harbour for the week. When we've been able to get to geomonsters out of the pool at the resort, we've been out and about exploring this beautiful part of the world.
Today was a little cloudy and marginally less windy, so Sandra dropped me off at Boambee and was to be picked up at the other end of the beach.
I wandered down the beach a little and then headed up into the dunes again. This was another nice quick find.
This was number 8 for our trip.
Thanks!!

All good here even though someone has been having a regular camp fire 50m away. Easier access off the dunes than walking from no 23 although there is a path of sorts through the grasslands.
Disappointing trail, many wet logs and some containers in poor condition, needs a maintenance run.
Thanks for the cache

We started the day with a walk and a swim with a couple of caches thrown in for good measure.
I found this cache straight away.

finally had time to complete the maintenance on this series i adopted recently. this one has been replaced with a regular sized container nearby
Found the fresh new log, out on a lockdown exercise day as my gym is shut. Tftcsl
Hate DNFing ones that are obviously not here. Hey owner, do some f———g maintenance
Far out....chippymick64 and I created our own bush track to get here from number 21 but of course wasted time as it was not here. Covered in cobwebs, prickles and sweating like a little piggy.....CRANKY!!!
Oh well at least we can say we made it to GZ.

lovely walk with the dogs along boambee beach. log was very wet. found with Suetan
Found with gabstarb... omg crazy bush ... long pants shoes needed. Geo was wet and case was not in good shape
Today we wanted to continue with this series, which we started on a previous visit to Coffs Harbour, so we went out caching with twista747 who lives in the local area. Of the 16 caches left in the series for us to find, we were successful with most, but had to DNF 3 and did not bother to look for one, which had too many DNF logs for it to be of interest. It was disappointing not to be able to complete the series.
Individual info had been added to some of the logs where it is appropriate.
Thanks go to brad1987 for the series.

Spent the day walking from Coffs to Boambee doing this series, at times the path was hard to find, boots and socks very necessary. Several logs wet and not possible to write on. We soon caught on to the style of cache and hide Many thanks .different containers nearly fooled us
While we were in Coffs for the week we thought that we would try to smash this power trail out with geohubby, geokid and fellow cachers, we figured that we better get a start on it and with geokid we thought that we would need two days to get through it.
Feeling more hopeful with this series, we bush bashed close to GZ, I waited with geokid while geohubby and fellow cachers when a little closer, cache was soon in hand, signed and returned back to its resting place.

While away in Coffs Harbour, we thought we would give this power trail a kick start and see how many we could cross off the list. We solved the coordinates for the two mystery caches and plugged all 24 into the GPS.
We headed to the beach, and thought we would start at the southern end to work our way back up to Coffs.
After find the previous cache, we were a little pumped and hoped our luck would continue for the series. On approach to GZ, something moved in the bushes about 10 metres away which had me spooked, but I pushed on. GPS was wavering around a certain tree, but no cache was there.
A quick scan around saw the container about 3 metres away, made the grab and had CIH. Signed the log and replaced in the tree at GZ with some natural camo rather than just lying around as we found it.
We would never have visited the lovely beach had it not been for this cache.

Just returned from my holiday and catching up on the logs from my fantastic trip. All good with this cache as I work my way south to Sawtell. Signed log. Thanks
Relatively easy find personal gps only out by 4m which is fair as it was easy to spot
I replaced the suspected missing cache today for the C.O. Its now a small clip lock plastic container. If the original cache turns up it can be placed in this one.
After a frustrating 30 min search, no luck was had. Wherever the prev finder placed the cache I could'nt find it, I think it may be long gone, needs checking.
The cache was on the ground when we arrived. We picked it up and decided it was of no interest. After searching for ages and even second guessing the GPSr we decided to abandon the search. I picked it up for one last look and voilà there it was. We replaced it where we thought it would go. Hope that's OK. Thanks for placing this. A great series.
Had the grandkids with us so things were a bit slow going. We originally did the first half of the series about 18 months ago and found them quite easy compared to the second lot.
Started from the south and found the puzzle cache easily then spent far too much time searching for the next two. The little ones were getting tired already so I could see this series taking much longer than the anticipated hour.
Packed it in after a half hour on each cache so we'll be back later on our own.
Thanks Brad

Like other logs here, this will be a generic log for the entire series.
We started the day at 930am on the Sunday of the June long weekend, with the intension of finding all 22 today. The day didn’t start out too well as we couldn’t find #1. Grrr. Went strait to #3 and not knowing what exactly we were looking for, we went on and found a few more and realised the caches were the same. Co-ords were all spot on and loved the trail. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere with the occasional beautiful ocean view. Oh and the occasional plane to remind us where right next to the airport runway. I was surprised to find not 1 spider web and no snakes today. Lol. We did however find a well camouflaged lizard in a tree we were looking in. Got a fright when I saw him. Would have been about 2ft long. Found all caches ok in a roundabout 5 min time frame, except #23. We looked and looked as you can image, but finding nothing. Checked logs and found the last 4 were dnf’s. Oh well, called our friends to pick us up as we were exhausted. It was 3pm at this stage, long day but had a great day geocaching. Dropped us back at our car and deciding to go back to #1 and find it, which we did. So a great day with 21 finds and 1 dnf. Awesome series and TFTC’s !!

After all the storm damage recently we feel this cache has gone missing.
Caching today with The X-Trailers.

We went out for the day, learning the ropes with Mystery Sleuth. Gorgeous day for a dunes / beach walk, searching for caches.
No muggles around, but plenty of thorns attached themselves to our socks!
TFTC, lovely day had by all!

Out with Got It Good who were visiting Coffs Harbour for the weekend and learning about geocaching.
This will be a generic log for the series with a few exceptions. This was a lovely enjoyable walk with finding a geocache every few hundred meters or so and with it being like that before you knew it you were at the end. Most were fairly quick and easy to find exept a few of them.
After finishing the series we walked back along the beach and the beach walk felt like it went on forever and I was warn out. But it was a great day out and we all had fun in the sun.
Find:325
Thanks for the series Brad187

We had been wanting to do this series for a while but last time we were in the area a couple were disabled and the puzzle in #2 pointed to one of the traditionals. We had a bit of spare time this afternoon and headed off. It was a hot but pleasant walk. It took us a little to get our eye in for the type and style of hide but after that most came out OK as we generally found the co ords good but a couple took a little longer. Some of the logs towards the end of the trail were a touch damp and one had a couple of drops of water which we drained out. We saw a number of black cockatoos and goanna on our way. We DNF'd the last traditional as per the last couple of finders but made it to the final. A fav pt for the series. TFTC.
Find No: 4990. Visiting from Newcastle, staying in Woolgoolga, Back Beach this morning for a body surf, into Coffs this arvo to have a look at some missed ones and some new ones, thanks for the cache brad1987!!
Found during a very windy afternoon on a walk in from Boambee Creek. Completed the north half of the series last year and now have knocked off the southern quarter. This one took quite a while to locate but the geo-son spotted it in the end. Many thanks brad1987
Completed Maintenance on the entire trail with summerr123. Replaced all containers and logs as the last containers didn't hold up to the weather. You are now looking for camod bison tubes.
We walked along this track finding the Caches quite quickly. The Caches were all, almost right at the CoOrds.
It was a warm day so it was a nice relief when we emerged at the Southern End of the trail. Then we went Inland once more for the Final Cache before setting out on the 6km Beach Walk back to the car park.
Thanks to brad1987 to setting up this trail.

An easy find at number 22
Yep !! More water in the container.
At least they are consistent

We had seen this power trail appear on a previous visit to Coffs and have been itching to do it since then.
Our Geocaching Daughter & her Geocaching Partner residents of Coffs were also itching to do them but I had made them promise they would wait for us so we could do them together.
We now had our opportunity as we had been to Sydney for our Church Conference and planned to make the morning available on the way back to knock these over.
What was more exciting for us is that our Daughters partner has a 4WD so we planned to attack them from the beach. We knew that it would mean we would have to cross more vegetation but the thrill of beach driving overcame that.
This will be a generic log with a few side notes.
We had an absolute ball going for & finding all these caches even with the spiky plants and spiky seeds that attached themselves to us in the hundreds.
Had to stretch for this one.
Thanks Brad1987 for a fantastic trail on this beautiful beach!!!!

Headed out late this arvo to start this cache run. Found a few of the logs saturated and hard to write on and others damp. Found and logged... TFTC
After my time out here last night I was half thinking about just leaving these and maybe doing them on another trip. But the pull to complete what was still here was just a little to strong.
So 7am I was in the parking lot down this end of the trail and the weather while very grey seemed ok. I set out along the beach starting at #19 and working my way back towards the car. Somewhere around #21 the sound of the waves gave way to the pitter patter of rain drops on the leaves.
Needless to say by the time I had found the rest and returned to the car I was dripping wet. Luckily I was slightly prepared for this and was soon back to the hotel and a nice warm shower before heading off for the drive to Armidale today.

We set up camp at Coffs Harbour & this morning we wamted to takle the Beach walk. We had pprass drop hubby off at #24 & I started walking from #17.
The coords were all great which made for mostly easy finds, I found #17 the toughest but saying this we had a DNF on #1.
This was a pleasant walk amongst the sand dunes which we completed one way in just over 2 hours.
#24 will get a favourite for the track
Thanks for placing this cache brad1987

It was getting late in the day so I only really had time to grab some of these. I will definitely re-visit this series next time I am visiting Sawtell. I definitely recommend starting from Boambee and crossing the walkway attached to the rail bridge.
Number three for my backwards taster of this series. Even in the late arvo it was still a bit warm so it was great to be in the shade getting the breezes off the beach as I walked.
Thanks for the cache brad1987. Cheers!!
