Very quick find by the geodad on the road home. Live the series! TFTC!
Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 5 in company of Bazzars. A few last highway caches on route to our stay in Cobargo. Thanks from D B-A
Day 4 of my trip to Bermagui via the Snowoies. Camped at Tantangra Reservoir for a couple nights 4 trout caught looks like we got out just before the bad weather hits. Onward to Bermagui today.
Quick park and grab here. This is a busy road this arvo.

Too cold for chookhams today, unless they now have four legs and woolly overcoats
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

While I checked out the cache, the chook guardian across the road told me to rack off, (a guardian type dog). Thanks.
Thank you so much for the variety and creativity of your hides . They are a lot of fun . Thanks for the cache
TFTC! Completely soaked in the rain but too tempting to miss. Will pick up the trail post rain!
Not much of a challenge as rating tells us but a good chance to stretch the legs. Tftc
A family holiday in Pambula with some early morning caching. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so great with overcast and rainy conditions on most days. Didn't stop the geokids hitting the surf and nearby river, but a few more degrees and blue sky would have been nice.
Spent a few hours most mornings before everyone else was up caching the local area.
Apologies for the generic log, specific or interesting details added as appropriate.
Found with The Matetrix, geokids 2 and 3. Heading home today, this cache found quickly and without issue. TNLNSL TFTC

Predominantly creative hides on this series kept things interesting. Got this one. Scenery beautiful. Our thanks to dghoffy for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Tijdens verplaatsing van Thredbo naar Batemans Bay deze cache gezocht en gevonden.
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.

Not being sure what my day of caching and trig hunting entailed, i could not commit to the who series. Just a few stops here and there. This was a find. TFTC
This is the last day for picking up more of this fun series, along with ilook4geo. We realise what a lot of thought and preparation has been put into the cache placements and names as well as the apt camo used on so many. Each log had both lots of initials noted on it before being replaced as found.
Many thanks go to dghoffy for placing and maintaining such a worthwhile series of caches.

Out and about caching again today with goingplaces2 and it is good to be able to claim so many smileys while heading into Bega and surrounding areas. TFTC.
TFTC quick one, got the dogs barking though, even the Maremma's across the road were more than a little interested.
Last day of the long weekend road trip to the far south coast. Stayed overnight in Beta and worked my way north from there. Again lots of caches and mostly of good quality, thanks to all for putting them out there!

Found by Mary and David at 16:25. Very interested to learn about these dogs and that they bond with chickens. In Victoria, those dogs are used to protect Little Penguins" on an island off Warrnambool, and a Gannet colony near Portland. Dropped off "Signal Tag - Feet". Our thanks to dghoffy.
Spending a glorious weekend down the Sapphire Coast as part of the Canberra Invasion. Whilst the invasion meant the chance to catch up with many cachers at events and at different spots (and a delightful excuse to celebrate Lovetherabbitohs 18th birthday), I spent most of the weekend on the hunt with the CGI crew: Fitzy_1965, DarzeeDi, Minniek , K8TYBEE , GLISS!, GSC2000 Lovetherabbitohs, B0tmun, death_killer & my_name_jeff_1. Thanks so much for keeping all the caches alive and making this weekend a possibility! Tftc
Out and about with nibletricecakes and the Goulburn/Canberra crew. Scouting the coastline for treasures... my first big caching weekend! TFTC (and trail)
Headed to Wallaga Lake for a bit of an invasion by people from Canberra & Goulburn. A group of us convoyed for most of the long weekend. The group known as CGI (Canberra Goulburn Invasion) consisted of fitzy_1965, darzee di, nibletricecakes, k8tybee, GLISS!, GSC2000 and my geokids Lovetherabbitohs, b0tmun, death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
Day 3 now all packed up and ready to head home but not before finishing the SST series and any others along the way. All caches were quickly found. We certainly loved the variety.

Sorry for the generic log, some with an added comment - this weekend a few of us from Canberra and Goulburn decided to travel down to Bermagui and do the SST series and some of the other traditionals, camping at Wallaga Lake Big4.
Today was day 3, final day of our adventure and what a great adventure it was, loved the company, lots of laughs and stories making it a successful fun long weekend. I just loved the different caches and ability to park safely and enjoy the experience, some a little harder to find than others but found in the end . We signed logs as team CGI (canberra Goulburn invasion) and we all enjoyed ourselves, we all had a great day and all said how much a fantastic series it was. Tftc dghoffy and elysium_au

Sorry hoffys, but this is going to be a generic log, as I have trouble keeping up with the youngsters I cache with, let alone making notes for individual caches. It will however save you reading every log!
Weeks ago it was decided to resurrect the idea of Canberra Invasions. I had not previously been involved in these adventures but enthusiastically signed up and this is our second this year. What a fabulous time we had. The main targets were the Event on Saturday night to celebrate an 18th birthday and the SST series. Both were achieved as well as some extras thrown in for good luck.
Thanks to all the COs for the effort they put in to creating the caches we found, but especially to dghoffy . What an incredible set of caches. I especially loved the names allocated to the caches - wow what great imaginations you have, and this spilled over to the creation of the caches. Well done d! It was wonderful not to have a series of mint tins or sistemas and their placement was great too. Evil at times but so much fun! I especially appreciated the fact that there was always good parking on roads that can be busy - glad it was a winter long weekend not one in summer.
All caches were eventually found, sometimes with a little bit of help - thanks to the COs and GrimRaider and were signed or stamped as Capital Crunchers. Brilliant series so thanks again and it was great to have you share the weekend with us.

Cache 5207 on 9 Jun 2019.
This was a long awaited and planned geocaching mission to the south coast with a few other Canberra cachers. Bobl27, TikvaNZ and I drove down Saturday morning and picked up a few caches on the way to the main goal which was the SST. We picked up 19 caches Saturday getting warmed up for the main day today, Sunday. And such pretty views from so many cache spots.
This cache: quick find!
Thanks dghoffy for the cache and the fun!

Jsson and myself went for a trip to find caches in the BFH and SST series. We logged as IJ. A lovely sunshine day with some clouds and a light breeze.
We found many nice and partly challenging caches during our road trip.
Thanks for placing a cache for me to enjoy and find.

Accurate coordinates and a commonly used hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks dghoffy and elysium_au for the cache and a very enjoyable series.
Find Number 1623, found at 11:47
With the current Groundspeak promotion encouraging caching for the numbers, GeoSon NationalSteel and I decided to try for all 100 finds in a two day weekend. The only significant series that neither of us had found was the SST, so we set off down South to try our luck. With 50 caches found yesterday, we needed another 50 today to complete the mission.
Not sure why this is a chook palace, unless the buildings in the distance are a chook farm. Never mind, a quick and easy find.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log using the signature GT/NS and replaced the container as found
Thanks dghoffy for the cache.

G&T had planned a raid on the SST series in the hope of ticking off the required 100 finds for the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. So we came down and had a very successful weekend, with 50 finds on the Saturday and at least 60 on the Sunday, and only 2 or 3 DNFs overall. We completed the SST loop, although we skipped a few here and there when we missed a turnoff or it looked like a given cache might take too long to get to, given we were on a numbers run. But I was really impressed with this series, finding it much more interesting than a boring power trail. There's obviously been genuine thought and in many cases clever workmanship going into the hides. To have so many of such quality and variety is quite an achievement and made the numbers run much more enjoyable than it could have been, were we pursuing endless "tupperware under a bush" hides. People concerned about the lack of hints just need to pay more attention to the clever naming system, in most cases. I also appreciate the thought that went into planning a particular route around the caches - clockwise, which we followed as advised - and the selection of safe places to pull over. Anyway, today was another big day with over 60 finds, breaking G&T's daily record, getting very close to my record and passing my 4000th find milestone. We started the day by heading back from Bega to the spur of BFH caches, getting a few more in the area and then resuming our loop of the SST.
Another nice quick find here. TFTC!

A series I will never forget, extremely challenging at times as every cache is different and there is no hint. Without a hint you approach GZ each time like a newbie, and if co-ords slightly out finding some caches becomes hard. Day 3. No chooks but saw the dog. Tftc
Couple of days off work so some much needed caching to be done thanks for the cache
Found on my around the SST. A great series to do. Enjoyed the different kind of hides. Didn’t see a chook today
No sign of chook/s today.

Overnight trip around the SST with Seemyshell and Brewmaker. I was really impressed with the wide range of unique styles and sizes. Another huge selling point on these were the interesting names for the caches (instead of numbered), which makes it easier to remember each location and find. Thanks to all the Cache Owners of the Sapphire Coast (namely dghoffy and elysium_au) for injecting the greater area with good quality caches. Thanks For The Cache!

We have been visiting The Saphire Coast since our childhood and have always loved family holidays. Now there's just the 2 of us and we still love coming here. There's no better way to explore than on our very own geo-tour. We are interested to see if we discover any unknown (to us!) treasures on our journey today. We have already seen one whale from the shore, fantastic!
Back when we were first married we live in the country on a bit of land. Among other live stock we had chooks and ducks. Their residence was known as the "Budgeree Hilton for chooks (Budgeree being where we lived.) Love seeing chooks outside being chooks.

Quick find. Traffic heavy but we combined well to get the log signed & cache safely replaced. Kutgw
Found as we wind our way from Melbourne to Canberra the long way around picking up some stray map zones for a challenge cache as we go. Being dedicated caches we never take the shortest direct route to anywhere, except the next cache of course. No dogs to be seen here today, although we could hear them barking . Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Day 2 on the SST Trail.
More nice sunny weather and lots of good caches found.
Appreciate the efforts you have put into the hides.

The great thing about coming down here regularly is that I can soon remedy a previous DNF. Loved seeing the maremmas. A few pigs were in the closest paddock doing a great job at plowing the ground. Why use machines when there is this enthusiastic option. Thanks for the cache, dghoffy.

Spending the day around Tathra, Tanja and Bega - it really was a day from the ocean to the mountains! We enjoyed the variety and difficulty of the cache hides. Thanks to all the COs for enriching our visit to this lovely area of NSW.
On holidays from Brisbane visiting friends, down near Tathra for 4 days. Today we decided to tackle the caches around Tathra, Tanja, Kalaru, and the Princess Highway heading north from Bega. Due to the numbers found while on this holiday, I have decided to do a generic message. Thank you to all the cache owners who have placed these caches in the various locations. TFTC

Two out of four clips on the lid have snapped off. It is two next to eachother too so the container doesnt shut tight.
The container will need to be replaced, however it's not too urgent as I have just sat it inside where it is meant to be. Should survive in the meantime
Thanks!

Well your definitely not lying about the palace guard dogs!
We pulled up and one of the dogs started barking, very deep and loud!
We spotted another one at the fence too, but it seemed like the nicer of the two as it just quietly sat and watched us without making a sound!
The cache was quickly found open and on the ground. Luckily it was sheltered otherwise it might of been full of water. This is because 2 of the clips have snapped, so the lid can no longer hold the weight of the container in its hiding spot and just falls off if you know what i mean.
So after signing the log, we replaced the lid and just sat the container in its hiding spot, but not in the "hole" as we expected it was meant to be.
TFTC, might need a new container.

The chook farmer was at his gate. Thought he might move on, but he chose to make a phone call and wasn't going anywhere for a while so we gave it a miss.
