A long drive out west into the very green countryside. No snakes today cold and wet. SL TFTC
Nice quick and easy stop, Great chance to have a stretch. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here.
Not so peaceful for us today I am afraid; not with all the trucks screaming past as we made the search. None the less the cache was quickly found and we were soon on our way north again (OZ Mega here we come)

I was up for a bit more Tallegeria today
And another short Tallegeria stroll !!
It would be difficult to take a long stroll here.
Tallegeria CP isn't big by park standards,
but full of interesting stuff !!

Travelling from Tassie to Clayton Bay on our usual pilgrimage. Decided on a detour to do some caching en route.
Thanks jgc3, a nice easy drive by.
Thanks jgc3, a nice easy drive by.
After spending a few days in Adelaide, we headed for home in Melbourne. We found this cache along the way. tftc.
Dr Owl was suggesting a weekend away to tackle some adventurous caches in a disputed area of Mexico and to spend some quality time with Muff1. Who was I to say no! Extensive use was made of the Muffmobile and Mrs Muff came along for the ride and to poke fun at our caching efforts.
This drive was fast becoming a case of just one more ...
Thanks for the cache jgc3.

The last cache in a very successful day's caching. The snakes were all asleep, so a quick find was made.
Have saved these 2 for a souvenir day and today is it. We headed into Mexico and out from Apsley to make a quick couple of finds, hound loved the trip TFTC
This cache was found as part of a 28 hour caching odyssey around the Wimmera and Upper South East with TT016. A total of 670 km was covered in the trusty old GQ Patrol on the way to 93 cache finds. Caches collected included the Rusty Rail Series and the SA or VIC? puzzles, which were all found at night!
We did some CITO and removed some clear glass from here. I hate the thought of the glass starting a fire, and the place is sooooo dry at the moment

This was day 13 of our trip to the southern parts of our country being Victoria and Tasmania. Our travels have taken us west for a while and heading toward the border. This was a nice quick and easy find as the co-ordinates are very good. We picked up this cache as we headed towards the Little Desert to go exploring, as this is an area we have not visited before. TFTC.
A bit more but no more snakes. A quick find and welcome break.
Thanks to jgc3 and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^]

I was off on my biggest, single day, road trip. I left home at just after 7am and didn't get home until just after 11pm. I ended up with just over 670ks travelled, 29 smilies one being and event, and 3 Trig point discoveries, this included even heading interstate for 3 grabs.
There was many sights to see and even the odd fence jump for caches or photos. I think I managed to see every colour of mud that Western Victoria has on offer and I have a nice collection of it now in my drive way. I even had my pushbike on board and ended up peddling 5ks for 6 finds.
Another quick and easy "Park and Grab" although I did some how manage to overshoot GZ by some 50 odd meters. While I was walking back to the grab I disturbed a wallaby and he headed over the road and into the paddock.

Touring the area having left home (Melbourne) yesterday lunchtime. Our current learner needed to get some experience in country driving. Spent last night in Mount Gambier, pointing the car at Mildura today but who knows where we'll end up! TFTC
Have had a nostalgic drive westwood from Horsham (Natimuk in particular). Remember the same Goroke where came to play footy. How do these small remote places now compete when the sports venues are not covered with sponsors signs?
Also played at Perrone; but unable to see signs of the former oval!!
Anyhow, on the serious side, have arrived at the series of my goal:

#1 of 5 smilies today. Pa had originally planned to travel down the road to Edenhope, but when he saw all the caches down to Apsley changed his mind and brought me out here. Thanks Pa! A really easy find as Little Red Riding Hood (aka my GPSr) was behaving beautifully today and the coords were spot on! TNLN SL TFTC jgc3

Sorry for logging late...
This cache was visited by me either during the one month (February 2015) of hiking/tramping in NZ together with Bärgegumperli or in March/April 2015 while on a bicycle trip across NZ and AUS.
We/I enjoyed geocaching a lot.
Hiking
Hikes:
- Abel Tasman NP: Motueka, Kaiteriteri, Marahau, Inland Track, Separation Point, Coastal Track, Marahau.
- Nelson Lakes NP: St. Arnaud, Hopeless Hut, Travers Saddle, Blue Lake, Waiau Pass, Thompson Pass, D'Urville Valley, Lake Angelus, St. Arnaud.
- Arthur's Pass NP: Mt Brown Hut, Styx Valley, Browning Pass, Whitehorn Pass, Waimakariri Valley, Jordan Saddle, Hut Spur, Arthur's Pass, Mt Aicken
- Bridle Path
The weather conditions were great for tramping almost every single day. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the peace in some very remote areas and the many friendly people we met on our way or in the different huts.
Cycling from Dunedin to Auckland
It is not my first tour with this bicycle (map with long loading time).
Places along the route: Dunedin, Otago Central Rail Trail, East Manuherikia track, Tekapo, Fairlie, Geraldine, Oxford, Waipara, Hanmer Springs, Jacks Pass, Island Saddle, Picton, Wellington, Homedale, Hutt River Trail, Masterton, Pongaroa, road near Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu, Waipukurau, Fernhill, Taupo, Whakamaru, Tirau, Hauraki Rail Trail, Kawakawa Bay, Aukland.
After one month of perfect weather (see above) I finally got what I had to expect: Some rain... And sometimes stron headwinds. That the route was not flat at all meant usually that the landscape is great .
*
Cycling from Melbourne to Darwin
Places along the route: Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Penshurst, Edenhope, Jervois Ferry, Sedan, Tanunda, Crystal Brook, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Uluru/Ayers Rock, The Olgas/Kata Tjuta, Mereenie Loop, Alice Springs, Karlu Karlu/Devil's Marbles, Litchfield NP, Mandorah, Darwin.
Along the coast the weather was often wet and cold. The small roads in Victoria and South Australia were very pleasant to ride despite a lot of headwind. This changed as soon as I reached the Stuart Hwy to sometimes strong tailwinds. That's why I had some "spare" time to ride a loop in the Red Centre. Further north
As in NZ i met some awesome people.

Guess what I did while waiting for a connecting plane in Perth?
Greetings from Switzerland / Gruess us dr Schwiiz
*There are a lot(!) of caches which I did not search while on the bicycle trip. The reasons are mainly:
1. Stopping slows if one wants to get somewhere, especially on bridges where no one wants to slow down a fully loaded touring bike. Yes, there were quite a few days with >200 km on the pushbike...
2. Riding or resting next to a loaded (recumbent) bike attracts in some areas so much attention that stealth mode is not possible.
3. On rare occasions I rode during the night. If I had to do that there was no time to search for caches anyway [:-(]
4. Some places I did really not consider worth stopping for a cache... Sorry.

The Start of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747. Straight off night shift, and travelling Melbourne to Bordertown today.
BB needed this cache as part of her UBD challenge. But it is an interesting road to drive from Horsham to Bordertown, not one I had done before.
A quick find here today.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7520. Day 1 of our 10 week holiday travelling from Melbourne to Exmouth. Today it was Melbourne to Bordertown. Robmc and I succeeded in adding 15 smilies but also had 2 DNF's.
We changed our normal driving route on the way to bordertown so I could pick up this cache. I didn't need a bit more Tallageria but I just needed a little bit to fill in a spot for a challenge I am attempting. I was very pleased to find this one today and we continued on towards Frances.
Thanks jgc3
