I feel it is about time to archive this event. Once again a big thank you to all who attended and made it a great day

Attended this great event, my 3rd for this particular meeting, and asalways it was great to catch up with old friends and meet a few new faces

After not being able to make it the previous year due to work this year I wasn't missing out.

We arrived a little later, but it was great to catch up with some cachers we hadn't seen in a while!!

Mary & David were there. Despite Mary still not being allowed to fully weight-bear, she wouldn't have missed this important calendar date. A perfect day of sunshine and catching up with old friends - how well life on the road is agreeing with Ian and Penny! Rosemarie and Reg came up with a novel and appropriate way to get to know everyone, and their prizes were amazing. Quite a relief to continue on in the holiday spirit and make a start meeting some new caching friends. Our thanks to The 2 Wanderers, and a Happy New Caching Year to all.

27/12/2014 11:36 Sue and I left just after 9 am from Eltham to get here and were surprised by the addition of the new Western Freeway, not having been this way since last year. As such we were arrived only a few minutes after 11am. Along with 7 others, we were selected to hold one of the secret stamps and so got to meet lots of the other cachers both, new and seasoned. The stamp idea was excellent and a very good idea for helping folks mingle and meet. This social side to caching is the part that attracts Sue most of all. I enjoy catching up with other cachers and even got to swap some pathtags too! A great time. TFTC The 2 Wanderers TNLN SL

What a great event with an AWESOME turnout!
I was late, but I still got to see lots of cachers and discover a nice amount of TB's.
It's always good to catch up with like minded people.
Swapped some pathtags which was fantastic.
Lovely location and nice to find some nearby caches.
Appreciate you fine people coming early to make our claim on the tables and everything else involved in setting all of this up.

This was day 4 of our trip to Melbourne for various family Christmas functions, and we were on our way home today via this Intervening Days event. And what a fantastic event it was. Thank you for the perfect weather - that was really well organised. Also thank you for the ice cream man - we made sure we did our duty and had a double cone each (someone had to do it). Thank you also for the stamp game - that was fantastic! What a terrific way to meet people. It certainly started the conversation for us to meet people we might not have otherwise sought out to say hi to, as people naturally do tend to get distracted more with catching up with old friends at events like this. The group assault at a nearby cache added to the fun and socialising. And finally thank you to the family group next to us who miscounted and bought too many gelatis for their own lot, so they gave us the spares. We had stayed around to party with "last to find" Riddell, so this was well timed celebratory food. Two lots of icecream won't kill us. 2 Wanderers, you have outdone yourselves in running this event. You bothered to arrive in the earlier hours of the morning when you should have still been in bed or at least enjoying a coffee and brekky on the verandah. But instead you were marking out our territory and decorating it with tinsel and balloons so we could all enjoy this festive atmosphere. A well run event - thank you so much.

Attended this fab event with my two geokids (aged 3 & 5). What fun we had! I loved the stamp game as it got me chatting to lots of new cachers so that was excellent. I also swapped lots of pathtags which was great. Kids also had fun with their geo friends and even used the nearby witches hats as toys! Alas we couldn't stay for the whole thing as we had to head off to the beach (tough life) but the kids left happily with a winners cup each from the event organisers. Thanks so much for a memorable day

Nearly forgot to log my attendance. Thanks very much for putting on this event which turned out to be my 25th event, not bad for less than a year I think. It was great to see such a large turn out and I really enjoyed getting to know new cachers thanks to your stamp idea. I will definitely be back next year if you run it again.

Thanks to The 2 Wanderers for hosting this event. Unfortunately I couldn't stay around for as along as I had planned I am already looking forward to next year and I will make sure I don't make the same mistake so we can stay and really enjoy the event.

Well my attendance at this event was always a given. Some circumstances sadly changed but I was still able to attend. After working both Christmas Day and Boxing Day it was wonderful to see so many of my friends and swap a few path tags. Great that the ice cream man could be here too. Thanks for holding the event

Arrived "early", only 8 people present.
Whew, what a crowd.
Won "last to find"....apparently it's some sort of smurf?
Then came to bonus extras, ..FREE Gelarti and ICECREAM!
We shared the spoils with the ever diminished crowd.
All of us, the 8 amigos, had lots of laughs and vowed to meet again next time.

This was our first attendance at this yearly event. It was a magnificent day and it was a fabulous spot. Many thanks to The 2 Wanderers for continuing this tradition. We were delighted to win one of the very generous prizes, thank you. We enjoyed the company of many familiar faces and loved to meet some new faces too.

A lovely day out organised by The 2 Wanderers where I got to meet a lot of people whose caches I'd found, and some that I'd been bamboozled by.

Thanks very much to The 2 Wanderers for organising the day, and for the raffle where I won a prize!

This appears to be my fifth time at this event, and while the organisers have changed a couple of times, it never fails to please. Everyone is relaxed and happy, fresh from Christmas and generally on holiday, so that makes for a good basis.

And today, the same was true. The weather was perfect and there was a great crowd of fellow cachers, some new friends, some old. It was good to catch up with the oldies, and to meet some of the newbies. It was a nice way to end the year.

My thanks to the 2 Wanderers for organising the event, and for keeping the tradition going.

Thankfully I was able to attend if only for a very short time. Great to meet some experienced cachers for the first time and to catch up with others that I had met before. A great venue and a perfect day for the event. Thanks for taking up the organisation of this event Reg and Rose. A pity I couldn't stay longer but the little white ball was waiting to be hit. It was a beautiful day weather wise, perfect in fact.
I have been to this event a few times but not for a while so it was good to return and a while back I earmarked it to be my 15000th find and so it turned out to be, and what a good decision, surrounded as I was by such great company.
Special thanks for all the trouble the 2 Wanderers went to in order for us all to be comfortable and relaxed.

We attended this event today at 11:55am as number 1 of 23 on our Melton Intervening Days Tour. Great to catch up with a lot of old friends and make a few new acquaintances. This was our 4th event cache in this park and 3rd Intervening Days event, having also attended in 2008 and 2011 and all hosted by different teams. In was nice this time that this times hosts, The 2 Wanderers, we had only just met at the 2011 event and at that time, they had only just discovered geocaching and we ended up doing a few local caches with them on that day. Now today, here they are hosting the same event and we were able to go out and find a few of their caches today as well. We were standing next to LouiseAnn when she won her prize so it was a very unusual coincidence when we happened to spot that very same prize on the floor about 2km away and about 70m from a cache that we had just visited. We recognised it straight away and was able to call her later in the day to arrange to have it returned and it was extremely lucky that if anyone else had found it, they would not have known whose it was, Our 68th event cache. This event has become a much-loved tradition for our team. We like the venue a lot and are amazed how the get-together has been attracting increasing numbers of cachers.
We enjoyed the stamp game, the TBs and the many chats and hugs. Once again, so many friends and well-known faces, so many more names that now do have faces in our minds. The place was bubbling with compliments on great caches, thank-yous for effort on logs, hints and tips. A group attempt at finding a nearby hide resulted in a new container being donated (thank you Penny!) And we scored a new caching tool as well.
Thank you very much The 2 Wanderers for keeping the tradition alive and adding your own flavour to it! We had a great time and are looking forward to future events.

What a great day weather wise and a great turn up for "Intervening Days VII". A big thank you to all the teams that turned up and made a great day. A total of 62 cachers turned up both new and seasoned cachers. Everyone was made to feel welcome and joined in the fun. "Riddell" was lucky enough to get the wooden spoon, which turned out to be free ice cream compliments of friendly muggles. "LouiseAnne" won FTF if my photos are correct, other prizes went to "McLookers", "Fergzster", "Ian&Penny", "LumpyJRB", "Cauzsa", "Vanessa" and "Suscoe". I have one apology to make and that is we did not get a group photo so if anyone has photos could they please post them on their logs, it would be much appreciated.

Attended today. Enjoyed the lovely weather, BBQ, chats and the ice cream! Thanks for organising this event.

Great venue , perfect weather and a great turn out . I thought the acquiring of the stamps was fun as I got to put faces to some of the names that I see in the logs and posts . As always a friendly atmosphere at the event . Many Thanks to The 2 Wanderers for putting on this event .

Turning up a little late, the party was well underway when I arrived. I participated in the stamp collecting game and caught up with a lot of the usual suspects as I went. I also met some new people. There were some many people in the park, both cachers and non-cachers. The ice cream man seemed to be doing well. After picking up a couple of the local caches, it was time for me to go, unfortunately, work was calling. Thanks so much for putting on this event 2 Wanderers, it was my first one, but I think you will see me again

This year we again headed westward to attend this event yet again this time with a third convenor. Thanks to 2 wanderers for taking it on and continuing the run. Enjoyed spending time with some of the usual attendees and meeting some of the newer cachers. TFTE.
