First Australian earthcache. They are always interesting but that one is on an unusual topic mixing engineering and geology. I learned a lot of think about construction on sand and mud places.Thanks a lot for that interesting earthcache. One topic that I have never seen and is really interesting. Found It While Bike Riding

Nice walk around park at the Narrows with grand son.

I’m visiting from Brisbane for a few days while my husband is working here. The last time I was in Perth was in 1990. Today I walked 19km finding 18 mostly targeted caches and some ALs.
My answers have been sent to the CO. Thanks for the interesting Earthcache.

Today Courtneyrose_ and I meet up for a few days holiday on my work trip in Perth, exploring the city and surrounds plus finding a few caches as well.

The GeoBikes were still on the back of the car so this morning we decided to head to Kings Park and surrounds, using the bikes where parking was problematic and to cycle some of the foreshore. The foreshore was problematic with much of the path closed for repairs. [B)]

Finally we moved over to QEII and PCH but things took way longer than we had hoped there. OOps.

A fun filled long day and managed to get 'home' after dark. Happy Easter!

Out for a day in the city. A nice tour around on foot and bike. Covered 45km under my own steam, finding about a dozen caches and a lot of Adventure Lab waypoints.

Nice and easy to pedal to. Answers emailed to the CO. Thanks for a nice easy earthcache. [^]

Goldy and Jimmy are off to Perth for a couple of days, our first time visiting the city and the state of Western Australia.

We came to cache, as well as visit Fremantle and Kings Park. We also watched the Fremantle vs West Coast darby at Optus Stadium.

Thanks to olthomas for giving us helpful clues to what free buses go where and also for some food recommendations. It was much easier thanks to your efforts!

All caches were signed "Jimmy and Goldy". Jimmy's cache name is "idontcachemuch", However, "Jimmy" is easier to write in a log book!

It was the final day and Goldy was out the door at sunrise to grab as many caches in Kings Park as I could and a few on the way back.

I swung by here and gained all my answers and have sent them via the email address given.

A very cool EarthCache, I learnt a lot that I didn't know and it makes me an official Platnium EarthCache Master as this was the 5th state with an EC find.

Thanks Geology Boy for this EarthCache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2781 on the 4th of April 2023.

Over visiting WA for the first time from Brisbane.
Got up early, 5:30 on my last morning in Perth to grab some caches before the family missed me and before having to pack up before check out.

I will confess that earth caches are not my favourite caches. But there is a challenge back home where I need an EC from 4 different states which is why I’m here this morning.
Well what a refreshing change.
You bought me to a very informative landmark. I read every word on every panel. The questions were easily answered. (I think).
This is what earth caches should be. A definite FP point from me.

What a cool little monument that clearly explains the process of what thye did....super impressed. I love this kind of earthcache!

This is a very interesting story, hidden away here. Some very clever engineering was employed to build this interchange. I have sent my answers to the CO and hope they pass muster.

Alyce and I had grabbed our caches at Elizabeth Quays and decided to carry on down the path to grab this Earthcache. I had absolutely no idea this little area even existed even though I use to live in Perth for many years. This is why we love Geocaching, it brings us to these little hidden gems.

We took notice of the information and gathered our answers and submitted them to the CO.

This was the closest Earth Cache to work so had it on my radar for the Earth Day souvenir.
Despite the log saying you could walk to this from Elizabeth Quay train station I was concerned I’d have to try cross the very busy roads. For anyone wondering, there’s an underpass just before the big flag! It was interesting to read about how the narrows bridges were made.

6 months(ish) since we left home and stated our ‘lap year’ half way in our original time allocation and not even close to half way around the country…hmm I guess we won’t be ‘home’ for Christmas….oh well… (shhh don’t tell the grandparents)
Perhaps if/we I stopped looking at so many rocks trees and beaches we wouldn’t be taking so long…then there are the flowers, old things and street art that keeps catching our attention.. maybe it’s the Geocaches… what ever it is, we are having a bloody brilliant time and I wouldn’t change a thing!
This week it’s Perth turn, what a beautiful city!

We had a day in Perth before heading towards the WA south coast. We focused our attention to earthcaches as always, our favourite type of geocaching for the learning process and beautiful places it takes us to.

A nice walk to the park and the interchange by the passerelle from the Bell Tower brought us to GZ, a nature heaven.

Visiting the area for an appointment so decided to make a quick detour to grab this earth cache that has been on my radar for awhile. Answers have been sent. Tftc

Perth Day 5: Last day in Perth today, and by the looks of the forecast, it is the warmest one yet. Are you sure this is the end of winter? I had about half a day before the flight, so decided to knock off a few final caches before I had to head off to the airport. Took the bike ride around Perth Water from the Causeway to the Narrows and back and picked up a fair number of caches. It was a good choice as the views of Perth along the way was no less than spectacular.

The following is the specific log for this cache:
Fascinating little place where one could learn about the immense engineering challenge to build this place. Dropped by on the cycle ride around Perth Water after crossing the Narrows Bridge, and gained a better appreciation of the land I am standing on. Thanks for the information and highlighting this monument. TFTEC!

This morning we got free bikes from our hotel and took them for a short ride.

After a failed attempt to reach the virtual cache at the botanical garden, due to us having to return the bikes before our rental time ran out we stopped here on our way back.

Visiting from Brisbane and today I am walking around Kings Park and the city.
Stopped here to check out this monument and was surprised at how they did it. I learnt something today and glad I came here.

Out on the bicycle for a 13 hour long cycle around the Northern city fringe and Western suburbs to nab caches. Also stopped in at Kings Park for a GC event this evening! Started the day at 10am and didn't get home till just before 11pm. [xx(]

I passed by this one at 17:55 while on a pre-dinner walk this evening. I'm not overly keen on EarthCaches in general (particularly the type where you have to determine whether the rock is grey-blue or blue-grey [:(!]) but this one was very informative so kudos to the CO.

My first full day in Perth and as well as trying to find all the virtuals on offer I wanted to collect as many Earthcaches as possible. This was a nice brisk walk from the car park to the set of panels. Unfortunately I didn't photograph a crucial one and yet I managed to collect the informative but unrequired panels. Answers to almost all the questions have been sent into the CO.

Very interesting to learn the process of building up the foreshore and Narrows Bridge.

Interesting information- learned a thing or two - never would have ventured this way without the cache though

After a long flight yesterday we slept like babies! Early in the morning we woke up with plenty of energy enough to start our day exploring Perth City! I found 19 caches on beautiful spots, but unfortunately also 6 DNF's. Especially between the skyscrapers it was very difficult to search properly due the many muggles, and deviations of my GPS. A part from the many DNF's I had a gorgeous day at Perth. Tomorrow we drive to the north! Our first stop outside Perth will be Jurian Bay.
