Found the rat. I have met this trail before. A sample was sent to the lab by the local BFG.
GPS had us on the wrong side of the trail
Mick found it after widening our search
Cache all good
Tftc
Lovely blue waters today made for a nice scenic walk to the caches

# 7790. Our first day of Easter camping in the Lincoln National Park and quite a glorious day today. Robmc and I set forth to find some of the local caches, especially my namesake and If's and Roostaman's. In the end we we found 16 and had 2 DNFs. At least I think that was the tally.
Rob has a few rattus caches back home - not quite sure why he has this affinity ? Our travelling TB mascot is Randolph Rat and he is enjoying his journey so far. We are on 10 weeks touring holiday and have just completed week 1.
Anyhoo, this one led us a merry dance until we changed sides of the track and then bingo, there was the sneaky devil looking at us.
Thanks viper231

Day Ten of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747. Today we wandered around the area between our camp at Surfleet Cove, Lincoln National Park to Port Lincoln.
I reckon the bush rats must have moved the cache from one side of the path to the other - both of us were sure our GPSr was pointing to the other side.
This was as far as we walked along this path today. A nice stroll.
Thanks, Robmc.

Day eleven of my holidays, just caching around the outskirts of Point Lincoln. There were some wins and some losses, but generally wins. The wins were generally easy, and the losses, well, too hard for me to find. I often find these sorts of caches difficult to find, but fortunately that wasn't the case here.
My thanks to viper231 for the cache.

Nice to learn that we have so many native rats and that they were all not intoduced
Or maybe there were introduced, just not by people a long time ago [^]
TFTC on my wanderings today
Scrunchy wanderings along the olde tramway by the shoreline [^]
