Thanks for bringing us here. It is a great little spot where geokids could run around and climb a cannon or two. Unfortunately for us, we were unable to locate cache (which irks us no end, considering the difficulty level).
Easy find, in fact too easy. It was out in the open with the lid missing of log side of the container. Have put it back where the hint suggests, bit will need a new lid ASAP.
What a great cache! Clever hiding spot with plenty of swag We are semi local to the area and had no idea about Silo Hill, such an interesting place

Thanks!

Found. What a chocker cache is this. It took me a while to locate and had to stay hidden from the muggles who were stopping to use the loo.
Wedding over and it's time to head towards sunny QLD & home.
Picking up a few more caches along the way.

Having attended a wedding at Mount Annan, in NSW, it was time to head back to QLD.
Wedding done & dusted we hightailed it north for sunnier climes!
Raymond Terrace was our stopover last night so a few local caches were a must before putting some miles behind us! LOL ...
Found the red herring, or was it?
About to walk away & log a DNF when I stumbled upon the cache.
Not sure it was where it was meant to be but replaced as found nevertheless.
Perhaps a CO visit to make sure?
I think it could also do with a 'proper' log as we are signing on a business card???

Wow swag overload! Never seen a cache as packed as this! Thanks for a quick find. TNLN TFTC
We visited Silo Hill with the previous cache and not only discovered the lovely views and history but a great spot to take a break from travelling. A quick find of the interestingly designed cache. Don't think we've ever come across one with so much bling! TFTC teacherwayne.
My first trip to stroud in over 20 years. A pretty easy one to nab given that my shelter for the evening was approximately 100 m away! TNLNSL.
Went for a drive today and discovered Silo Hill as we passed through Stroud.
Great big cache with plenty of swaps and other items. Signed the log and returned all as found.

Came through in summer .. Didn't chance going in high grass but came again in winter .. We found it !!!!;)
Came here today for a BBQ with our motorcycle club mates. We do this annually. Fantastic day for a ride but a bit chilly starting out.
Had DNF'd the previous cache up here but no problem today. Two containers of swag too. Thanks teacherwayne

I parked the geomobile down on the main street and went for a stroll to find this great bit of Stroud History.
At the end of a short, but energetic walk I found meself surrounded by some amazing history [:D[
The open silo was locked, but looking down through the grating, I don't think I would want to descend that olde ladder into the depths [:o]i
And how on Earth did those two cannon end up here from Bear Island !!?? [:o]
The cache was an easy find nearby, after the rubbish truck man left.

The family had a trip planned to Gloucester to do some camping. I decided this was a great opportunity to grab some geocaches so I decided to join them in the hope of cleaning out Gloucester and finding some geocaches along the way also.
As I drove up to this one I was worried as there were a couple of families using the table and chairs nearby for a picnic lunch. When I got closer to GZ I realised that my searching of the area should be out of sight of them and that I wouldn't have any problems. It was at this time that I also realised that if any of them did happen to come down and go to the toilets here it wouldn't look good at all! A man in his late twenties roaming around the bush behind the toilets!!
Thankfully as I got to the GZ I spotted the hide very quickly.. Now came the tricky part. There appeared to be two geocaches?? One in each end, both full to the brings with trades. I searched in both caches but couldn't find a log??? I then opened up one of the phone cases to find that the cardboard inside it had been signed by a few people so I added my name to that also and put everything back into position.
I escaped from the bushes as quickly as I could and luckily enough no one had come down to use the toilets whilst I was there.
TFTC Cheers

Homeward bound after the QLD Mega Event. Diverted up the hill to take in the view, the history and of course the cache. Soon located the weed and a well stocked container. Visited some TB's. TFTC teacherwayne.

Two men and a ladder set off early on Australia day to find 25 caches to satisfy The Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge. The ladder on the roof of the car was the noisiest of the bunch as the wind whistled through it every time we went above 80km/h. I must amid TOMBI did all of the pre-trip preparations by identifying caches that fulfilled the criteria and ensuring there were backups were we not able to find some of them. We headed towards Gloucester then over to Taree then finally back towards Newcastle. A good day was had by all with only a few caches eluding us. I managed 26 unique Difficulty/Terrain caches whilst TOMBI managed 28 as he had already qualified for another challenge and I had found one previously that he hadn't.
The first one of the day and easy one to start off with. Found quickly. no one else was around as it was very early. TFTC

Today Orrsome86 and I set off to find a few challenge caches, while qualifying for a few others. The weather reports said there was a 90% chance of rain with 20-40mm expected. We set off anyway and it turned out to be a near perfect day for caching; Overcast with scattered light showers, we never had to put our raincoats on and were never too hot (well almost). I had formed a list of 35 unique difficulty and terrain combinations. We found 28 of them. Nearly all our successful finds were quick, but our DNFs always took longer. We left Edgeworth just before 6am and were back a little after 8pm.
This was our first find on our way up to Gloucester. It was nice to stop after a while driving and we were glad to not have to listen to the loud ladder on the roof. Spotted lots of broken pipes around, but at GZ we found the right one quite quickly. The nearby amenities were handy and we were off again.
Thanks for the great start to our biggest geocaching days yet!

Having a week and a half off we headed bush on Christmas Day. Up north, towards Woko National Park was the target for the first day.
Stopping for a quick revive/survive, we found this cache without any problems.

#1449 -B found quickly while M was checking for muggles. Great spot for camping, toilets, water, covered picnic tables, power outlets next to one picnic table and views over the countryside. Next time, next time.
2050 GAFF1 Found on my South for an Event. I would have bypassed this completely if the Newcastle Event hadn't been cancelled, but I thought I would have an extra hour or two to find a dashpoint and maybe a cache along the way - success
Parked in a familiar spot - I have even had a nap in the car here a couple of years ago.
Soon found the WEED, that is used by wood turners, and the cache was at the coordinates!
So I left a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen. But DAMM I also left my camera on a fence post in the dark after taking some photos of the sign post.
Will add a book mark for the Night Caching elective.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 2012 Olympic Cab, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, B 2 B Travel ingot, CII-35Z, CITO - Upper Swan and Beyond geocoin, family travel, GCookie EARTH Cache 10 year Celebration Coin, GCookie FIZZY Coin, Geo-Kayaker GOLD TB, Hello Cocky TB, Iconic Bridges 2012, Island Hopper Y'all, Jacqui and Steve, Katniss the Kitty, Kengu, Native American Drummer boy, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 13 signature, Oz Mega 2014 GCookie, Relay For Life Tag, thank you - moliva, 'The Clock Tower', TransAustralia, Trumpey Smurf, Tyler's TB Golf Ball, World Geocoin Series-Middle East, and trackable shirts.
