Hi Peasticks
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

not sure what the last person found, or didn't find, has been a long time since the cache was found and i spent a lot of time here, one of the hint is cut down and the other doesnt have the cache and i couldnt find it anywhere else
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
NOt to many places to search here, but came up empty none the less. Given the recent spate of DNF's I suggest this one needs checking.
Phronimos, KrystalKath and Tama the geohound have moved to Katikati to take up seasonal work. Another ‘stink hot’ day, so a quick google search revealed the Tanner stream swimming hole. After a lovely cool swim (all to ourselves!) stopped to grab this cache on the way back to accommodation. But no! Pretty obvious where it should be, but nothing here
Pulled in and could see the likely hiding spot from the car. Just as I was about hop out, a car drove up to the avocado stand opposite. Then along comes a cyclist who decides to take a drink break nearby, before the avocado stall owner comes out with some more stock, and starts chatting to the cyclist. Oh well a quick park n grab has become more of a 15 minute park up, but once all the muggles moved on it was a very nice easy find, TFTC
Another quick find, after waiting for a parked muggle to go on his way. Will have to visit the lookout another day.TFTC
22401 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we were went from Whakatane to Pauanui along the seaside, seeing nice places and visiting caches, along the road. on both sides. Crossing the road is not always safe. We visited the nice town Katikati to see all the drawings on the walls and to walk a part of the Katikati Haku trail with 4 caches.
At arrival we walked through the town to see the shops/streets, and cactch some caches near the motel.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Several were with waterproof paper, but our stamp and pen do not work that good on such paper, where when it was wet paper it logs fantastic.
Peasticks TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

Together with my boy friend Hloust, son Jonas _999 and our friend Standarevnice on the road around the world, we found this cache. Kauri trees are nice. I am familiar with the Azores and Madeira. Thanks for the cache and greet greetings from the Czech Republic.
Today we made a trip from Whakatane to Coromandel, again at the route of the Pacific Coast Highway, thereby visiting many other locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was good all day long, partly very sunny and it got warmer in the afternoon. Small clouds and some wind were our compagnions especially in the afternoon.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to Peasticks for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Kauri Point turnoff. The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Cool location. Went to get some strawberries at the AMAZING strawberry place here and got the cage on the way back. A bit annoying as when I had located the cache three cars had arrived. TFTC
Out this way this afternoon and picked up a few caches including this one. Nice driveby, TFTC
I was expecting to take a while finding this one but literally stumbled upon it within seconds of reaching the tree lol.

I sure everyone looked in the usual places first before turning their attention to the right place. TFTC.
Another quick easy find on a cold bleak day. Home to light the fire and warm up. Thanks for the cache
I had almost given up but glad that i did another sweep. Did not exspect it there. Thanks!

Trip log:
Found during Team DATT's (Do All The Things) annual international caching trip consisting of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5 and myself. Africa kicked it all off back in 2016, with a follow up European tour last year. I tried to pitch Asia but the pull of the Great Ocean Road and completing our 6th continent was too strong, and we landed on week long road trips through both Australia and New Zealand. Before meeting the team in Sydney though, I was able to schedule some layovers in Asia (Beijing, Bangkok and Singapore), so in the end I got a bit of everything. =)
New Zealand Day 9 - Auckland -> Tauranga:
Our first full day in the country. We took our time driving down to Tauranga, grabbing some target caches around Auckland while enjoying the awesome views of the city. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall along the way and got to our Airbnb at the base of Mount Maunganui by early afternoon. We spent the rest of the day exploring the area on foot.
Cache Log:
Quick find for a new county.

We’re on our annual international geocaching trip as Team DATT (Do All The Things) comprised of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5, and zanna. This year we chose to explore Australia and New Zealand. Zanna and I decided to do a two-day stopover in Beijing, a three-day stopover in Bangkok, and a 12-hour layover in Singapore on our way to meet up with the rest of the team in Sydney.
Once we got the Team back together, we made a “bee-line” to Lane Cove and various caches around Sydney. Then we headed down the coast on A1. After visiting Wasp Head, we headed up through Canberra and down M31 to Melbourne, after a webcam stop on Mount Buller.
We had a great time in Melbourne, which is my favorite city in Australia so far, then onto the Great Ocean Road, the highlight of Australia for this trip. After a couple days (not nearly enough) we left the ocean road and headed up A6 towards Victor Harbor (webcam) and Adelaide (webcams) for our flight to Auckland. Seems we found every webcam in Australia.
After a short week in Australia, we flew into Auckland and continued with our explorations in New Zealand. We drove over to Tauranga, and then down to Rotorua and Taupo, enjoying the thermal features. We headed down 5 to Napier, with stops at a couple of waterfalls, and then down to Wellington to catch the ferry to the South Island.
We spent the night in Picton, and then over to the awesome west coast, before crossing over Arthur’s Pass on our way to Christchurch for flights home.
We targeted old caches, highly favorited caches, earthcaches, virtuals, and of course webcam caches, and anything else that got our interest along the way. Logs were signed DATT. Answers, where required, were sent by one of the team members. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of our trip with this cache. Great spot. In the States we call that a ponytail palm.

This was our final cache in a long day of caching... finding 23 out of 24. I knew exactly where the turnoff was and the hint made it super easy to find. Have to admit that I got a bit sidetracked by the amazing little VW Beetle for sale right beside the cache. Thanks for a great end to our day

A quick and easy find. Nice camo on the outer covering! Thanks for the fun, Peasticks!
Grabbed on our way back to Auckland from a long weekend in Tauranga. Had the added bonus of an honesty box nearby so we managed to get this cache and some avocados. TFTC
Easy find, cool camo! Inventory said 1 TB in the cache but didn't see one. Michaelteacher has dropped one in though. Tftc
Checked it out after someone couldnt find it. Yep, still there, waiting to be found.
Nice easy parking and easy find. Muggles at shop so signed in car and quickly replaced.
Miss 11 found this one today while travelling south spending time with her grandparents. Tftc
Nice quick find and brings back memories when I went to school here (Bill Vincent).

Passing by and called in to look for this one, Being a kingfisherman, I was also temped to head off down and check out the wharf, but not really enough time in my schedule.
Spent a minute or two looking at the hint without any luck and then suddenly realised where I should be looking and spotted the clever hide. No TB in the cache though, unfortunately. TFTC

Its Mothers Day and as I had done the dutiful son thing yesterday I managed to have a free day, so with permission from the better half I had a morning free (with a promise to be home mid afternoon). So with that in mind it was time to hit the area and see what I could scrounge up in a bit of a clean out between Waihi and Te Puna without too much work.
So Setting out at 6am (slept in) this was my fourteenth for the day as it had always been on the to do list. Thanks to all the cache owners that work to make this an enjoyable day out in the Autumn sunshine. All logs signed C&D or Cats&Dragons.
I recall when there was only the one cache in this area which seems so long ago. Having collected the caches in waihi that I was time to work my way down here.
Thanks for the cache, Thanks for the placement

#233. This cache was one I just had to find on my road trip from Wellington. From 1962 to 1965, I lived at the end of Ongare Point Road, on the poultry farm owned by my parents. Dad used to drop off the crates of eggs for collection at this corner by a transport company, and they ended up in Auckland. My brothers and I passed this corner in the school bus, en route to Katikati Primary School & Katikati District High School. Great to find the cache, lovely camo! Now it's down Kauri Point Road, to re-discover the house I lived in all those years ago, and look for another cache (Wet Feet). Tftc Peasticks (which incidently, was my nickname at primary school!)
Nice cache. Clean and dry and we'll camouflaged. On our way home to Auckland. Thank you for the fun.
Thanks for the find. We agree, very well painted, easy find!! Happy New Year!!!! Be careful if crossing the road:)
2460 Aim today was to clear Kauri Point. Unfortunately I had 2 DNF. This was the 1st. Nice quick park and find between traffic. Nice hide.
A nice quick find on our way back to Mount Maunganui after a day caching at Te Kauri Village. TFTC
Was in the area today when I felt the need for a cache or 2`, so decided on this one to start with...Plenty of room to pull off safely...
The cache is in good condition.

Was finally able to head out for a full days caching, as caching time has been somewhat limited over the last few months. With the weather not being overly flash, the general idea for the day was to locate some of the caches on the shorter walks on the Eastern side of the Kaimais plus a few others along the way. The usual early morning start was also delayed due to a rugby game I had to watch, so didn't get out the door til around 7.30am.
Through out the day the weather gods were actually very kind, bar the strong wind, with only a few heavy showers during the morning. The caching gods were also mostly on my side with only a couple of DNF's at the near the end of the day. All up a great day out and some cool sights along the way, and managed to get home just after dark and before a big storm came through. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements.
This was find #17 for the day.
Nice easy find here.

Heading South from Auckland today to attend a funeral and decided to do a few caches on the way down to break up the trip. Having not cached for more than a year it has been great doing a few again the last week. TFTC
Nice hide....only two TB's in cache..picked up the Greenfrog Coin. Thanks for the cache.
Easy find. Love the hide. Doing some night caches on way home. Tftc And TB must of Been picked up.
A nice quick find as I drove by. Cheers.
A night at The Mount, a short days cache from Waihi Beach. A nice warm sunny drive, unusual for this time of year.

Heading back to Tauranga after a weekend away at the beach with friends.
Pulled in here for a quick park and grab as I was not at my best !!!!!
I wandered over to GZ and grabbed the cache as Tiga was still getting out of the car.
Lots of passing traffic so waited for a lull to get the Log out and signed.
Took TB. Good end to the weekend. TFTC

Stopped by here while slowly making my way to Auckland, while also making this find harder than I needed to. *TFTC Peasticks, #8838*
After a good feed of bacon n' eggs and baked beans on toast at the bach in Waihi, myself, Rebel98, rustynz and supernanny were quite ready for the day ahead, whatever it may bring. When we pulled up here, I was out of the car first and immediately spotted the cache container, it's big enough! The others thought it was quite cool too. This is our first cache for the day and the start of many adventures for today. Thanks for the cache.
