Quick and easy find, out with teamrosenz. Thanks for bringing us out here. Cache is in good condition, log dry. TFTC
Out caching today with eimajesordaman. Nice and easy find. Thanks for the cache Morgan
A quick little overnight trip to Hawkes Bay and then up to Taup and back home to find some Adventure Labs and to hopefully qualify for the S39 Challenge.A quick stop on the way from Waipukarau to Ongaonga. All good here, and thank you to MorganEd for the placement of your Traditional Cache.Find #6671 at 26 April 2024 11:00am
We travelled up to Taradale today to stay with family and celebrate a special birthday. While family time is definitely the focus we will try to fit in a little geocaching as we can.We came up SH 50 and made a slight deviation to do the AdLab at Ongaonga and then travelled on to here, Ruataniwha. Then back to SH 50 to continue north. The cache was a quick and straightforward find. The memorial cairn is a sombre little spot and must be all that remains as a community centre now the hall has gone. TFTC MorganEd.
Found on a hot sunny day, 28 deg. The pill bottle was found lying in the open. Log book OK. Wasn’t sure where it came from so replaced it according to the hint and covered with some stones. Thanks Morgan Ed for bringing us here.
1 January 2023 10:59 TFTC MorganEd for placing this cache, number 12167 for me.
Day 4 of the holiday trip. Boys are cycling between Waipukerau and Hastings today, while I act as support crew and cache where I can.
Rain has stopped! Took a while to spot this, fortunately not near the electric fence! Information board is also worth a read.

#11,921. I am making my way north to Napier and diverted to do a cache in Ongaonga, only to discover the bonus of a new adlab based on the village. I then carried on across the inland roads to Waipawa and stopped here to check out this memorial and look for the cache. There were kids playing in a nearby paddock but due to the long grass and getting down low I could find the cache and sign it without being observed. Thanks MorganEd for pointing out this local feature.
Yay at last we g0t to find this cache nearly a yr later, 0n our way hme frm a tangi in Tikokino. TFTA
HORNETS beware! Nice find. We couldn't help ourselves and left a little something.

This a very familiar spot for us. Have visited here in the past. Cache was definitely missing so we have replaced it. Replacement cache is hidden under the R/H/S concrete floor lip. Hint may need to be updated.
Happy caching. TFTC

Dammit we were n a go0d roll, nevermind we left rocks fr0m #RocksNZ 4 a lil xtra fun + a sign of respect.
Hmmm, this one not playing the game this morning. Maybe too early. Quite a public spot and to be honest it felt a bit disrespectful to Mr Hamilton and Mr Jury to be crawling around their memorial on my knees. Have to give this one a miss.
making some finds before heading home, thanks for the placement glad the weather stayed nice after over hearing a few people saying it was going to be raining.
Nicky’s first one all by himself! Thanks for replacing this as last time we were here there was no sign. Tftc
Easy to find behind a loose stone at the base of this memorial. Was a nice buzz being my first.
Have been staying with cache owner for a couple of nights. Checked on cache on way south. Put a replacement cache here as couldn't find it to start with. As I was leaving I spotted the old container a very squashed mint tin
On my way to Napier for the weekend as I'm running a formal dinner there tomorrow night and a geocaching event tomorrow morning. . I decided to leave earlier than planned due to the dreadful weather of the past couple of days and apart from a lot of water in the paddocks, the trip is relatively straightforward so I have a little time to collect a cache or two. A quick find here at this excellent memorial. TFTC
We got up a bit late this morning but decided to head towards Hastings way get a few caches got a multi in Woodville and then a few up on the hill side over looking this cache area from afar. Another back road we had never been to before, what an interesting spot in the middle of no where. It was lucky we came by today the cache was heading out of its hidden spot and drifting away into farm land. we signed the log and placed it where we thought t should be according to the co ordinates. tftc and bringing us all the way out here today.
We left Kapiti with its cold, windy often wet summer behind to find some better weather in sunny Hawkes Bay. Looking for a few caches of course, and sometimes finding them in areas we have not been before. This was one we picked up on our journey. A quick find whilst on a pleasant drive through lovely scenery. Tftc.
Trying hard to reach a tally of 250 for July to claim a cache in Wairarapa we were running out of days. So, being the last day of the month, and despite the dismal weather forecast, we got up at 6am and were here by 8.30am to start. It was a very long day travelling around the wider Waipukurau, then down to Weber via Porangahau and back to Dannevirke to have fish and chips with my sister at 7.40pm. The last 11 cache attempts were done in the dark which was a first for us, and oh so hard! Got home around 10.45pm to our little dog who thought he had been abandoned forever. A great run and yes we achieved the numbers! It showed up our age as we were totally shattered and both struggled to find enthusiasm for work on Monday. Too many finds for individual logs so thanks to everyone who placed the caches found on the route.
We decided to head down this way from Napier to grab a few of the caches we had missed on our previous visit. This was our 5th for the day.
On reading the cache name, and being in this area, my mind immediately turned to wondering if this whole area will be under water in 5 or 10 years time if the Ruataniwha Dam project goes ahead?
Cache was quickly found, but struggled to remove the log. I appreciate the cache being placed here, but really don't get the logic of using a mint tin as a container.
Thanks for bringing us here.

An early start for us as we head down to palmy way for a couple of days caching. Still dark so had to look by torch light. Quickly spotted and had to laugh at it being a mint tin due to the recent discussions on Facebook about them. tftc
Found while out geocaching with treasure hunting Tim and our children. This is the first cairn I've ever seen, a lovely memorial. What a shame the memorial surrounds are so unkempt. Tftc
New to geocaching. Turns out this one is on my old property. Who new, thought a lot of people took a lot of interest in an old cairn!
Cute little memorial. Found on a very icy morning on the way to Wellington. TFTC
Really easy find not sure if it's meant to be where I found it as it wasn't hidden at all but put it back where I found it
Nice quick find with Just-Lookin while on the way to the Hawkes Bay area.
There was no container, just the log so we left a painted eclipse to keep it a bit dryer.
