Logs
A slow and steady catch up of logging. So far behind, yet as I look over my the list of my unlogged caches, some 400 of them, I am torn between writing out a separate log for each or a generic log for the lot. The only reason it has gotten this far out of control is the time consuming task of logging each one. So sorry to say generic logging wins.
If you the owner really want a fully log please contact me and I will be happy to return and write a personal full log for you.

Another good find while going from cache to cache today.
Enjoyed the drive around the area.
Thanks for the fun.

Didn't see any gold ants today but it was a nice quick and easy find with geo buddy. Thanks Chuze for the neat hide and TFTC
We were on our way south of Bathurst with a bunch of caches planned for the day. However, being in a park, we decided this one would be easy enough to stop for. We made our way to the location and made an easy find. As we signed the log we wondered how the cache got its name. Of course, we didn't read the cache notes until now, so we wondered whether Chuze was in violation with the Council for Accurate Naming. It turns out, he isn't, although he may be in violation with the Society Against Cruelty to Cachers (SACC) if those ants ever get mean and organised. Thanks

I'm glad to say that we didn't spot any of the gold ants around this morning. Poor bikerbuddy was already suffering enough with mozzie bites all over his ankles, he didn't need ant bites to add to the discomfort!
Thanks

After much deliberation and comparing of diaries, The Rats, Steeba and I eventually found a weekend that we could all commit to completing the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, along with some caching in Bathurst (which was actually the scene of our first combined geocaching trip nine years ago!). A last minute trip overseas for me cropped up; but I arranged it so that I could fly home just in time to not miss out on this caching extravaganza.
Friday night we headed to Abercrombie River via Goulburn (from Wollongong), and camped at the campsite there. Saturday saw us drive the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, ending up in Bathurst right on dinner time. We then found some local caches before staying at a friend's house for the night. On Sunday we headed back out to Oberon for some more caches and then did a couple of loops around Bathurst. We had originally planned to stay Sunday night, but once we clicked over 300 finds for the weekend the inspiration started to wane, and we all agreed to turn our heads for home.
Cheers

Nothing beats a "road trip". My find count had been suffering from the "rest of life" getting in the way of caching so along with Steeba and Hoojar a plan was hatched to go "beyond the Great Divide". The 2nd half of the TRLT looked to be the obvious solution. Under perfect skies and with gps loaded we hit the dirt roads.
Our first full day of caching had us weaving our way along the TRLT to a point where we completed the lower section of the series in one day. This half is contrastingly different to the other, but still very spectacular. By nightfall we’d made it into Bathurst where we continued with some night caching. Weary bodies and minds meant our night success rate wasn’t that good.
Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches we found along the way. Apologises for the template style log but with 300 finds for the weekend each container begins to look the same.
A nice easy one in the dark

The Rats, Hoojar and myself made for the wider Bathurst area for a weekend finding some of TRLT series of caches.
The whole area was quite green and recent rains had meant the grass had exploded everywhere and was 3 or 4 foot high around many of the caches.
Not only did we find plenty of TRLT, there were many 'History of' caches found amongst others. Thanks to all the hiders. TFTC!

Must have forgot to enable this one, when I went to replace I found it. Lol, it was just in the wrong hole, (that's what she said)
Checked on this on the way to the bathurst winter festival and it was not there..... will replace soon. Sorry people, no idea how or why such a place would come under the attention of muggles or why they would stop and search such a place.
I was arguing with the app, because I assumed that the cache was in the centre of the park, but the app was telling me it was another 40 metres away. The app was right. I gotta listen more! TFTC
Yes, found it! What a great hiding place and love the container. Thanks for the cache
I thought that it was fitting to celebrate this golden milestone in the city of Bathurst today, being an historic gold mining town & finding a suitable cache called 'Crazy Gold Ants' to bring up our 1000th find! I stopped for a break at Centennial Park in Bathurst to stretch my legs & make this quick find before heading to Mumbil
It was the last day of my Easter long weekend camp / caching trip. It was probably the reason most of the people in my group didn't sleep well last night. As things must go on, I packed my camp up after a quick breakfast and scouted out a caching trail to follow home.
I felt really exposed in that park, but the weather was so hot that no one was out playing. Couldn't even see any ants about. But I found the cache. I didn't realise they got that small!
Thanks for the cache.

Hooray got it, smaller ants nest than expected but the log is now a bit longer. Thanks.
My first find, aided by a couple of experts which made it quite easy. Coords are spot on! Loved the size of the cache, very excited. Thank you.
Look in the spot it should have been in and it was empty, but I did get aquatinted with the ants while looking.
Found GZ and a couple of potential resting places even found what might have been the original cover but sadly nothing inside.
Felt exposed in the middle of the park. Finally spotted the shiny container, thanks.
Winter weekend in Bathurst and Surrounds with Sol de Lune. We had a short walk over the park, but at least there were no ants today.
Thanks.

Thanks for a find Chuze.....

We had to wait until a muggle had passed, so we just strolled around the park until the coast was clear. Then we just casually strolled past the cache for a very quick find, having eyed it off while we waited. TFTC Chuze
Hooray !!
A Bathurst cache I can actually find
The gold paint has worn off though !!

Day 78 of my trip to Brisbane.
Sixth day on the road, except I'm not on the road today - I've decided to have a day in Bathurst. Today, I wanted to drive around Mt Panorama, and pick up the caches. This ended up not being possible - there arfe workers everywhere, getting the track ready for an event. Oh well, I'll drive around it, pick up a few if I can, and go see what else there is to see in and around Bathurst. I'm a bit late with the logging, I'm home now, and have five days of caching to log. Have I made 1000 caches on the trip? Today's twenty gets me to 974.
No 14 of 20 today. Thanks, Chuze. No ants, nice hide, good camo as well. The GeoSchnauzers enjoyed the walk in the park.

In Bathurst for a few days on holidays, went for a bike ride today left at 9:45am and returned at 7:00pm :O Found 20 caches along the way! Great community out here.
The last find for today as its getting late, cold and its pouring rain Lucky it was an easy one! Thanks Chuze

Might have to change this one soon, seems to end up on the ground alot. Still here waiting.
The last day of our Christmas/New Year camping trip saw us heading from the campground in Vittoria State Forest - located halfway between Bathurst and Orange, via Bathurst, Bells Line of Road and Sydney.
Another quick park and grab cache.
