Nothing found at any of the hint options and widened the search. A nearby trampoline user was nosey over the fence........
I stopped reasonably close to this cache and followed the GPS wondering where it was taking me. A slightly unexpected location but the cache was a quick find on arrival - partly because it was just kind of lying there. It was where the hint indicated but not particulatly covered or anything. Not sure it was supposed to be or whether it just kind of blends in but I re "hid" as found. TFTC.
#2319 had to trust the GPS in the dark and use the hint object.
All good at GZ.
Thanks for another smilie.

The weather is grim today, so a car-based trip around Blue Mountains and Whiteman's Valley until I run out of time. The hint object here isn't easily visible from the road, but trust the GPS TFTC
On trip around Whiteman's Valley, but only the cellphone so missed a few with no reception.
Checked a few hints but no luck.

Find # 253. A third day of cycle caching from Petone to Maymorn and back using the Masterton train to get to Maymorn. Cycled back via Whiteman's Valley and the Hutt River Trail - 50km of cycling. Only a 100m rise in elevation from Maymorn to the top of Blue Mountains Road but a 200m descent to Silverstream - the train did all the work! Quickly spied the hint object and retrieved the cache. #1554. Well the signs of civilisation might have been obvious but the object of my desire was certainly not giving itself away. Plenty of places you could hide a cache in this area. Decided to read the hint immediately since the house next door looked like it might have nosey muggles inside. The hint would have been very helpful in the Wairarapa but out here it didn't help at all. So scrambled around searching for a good 5 minutes trying to think what object might match that description. Suddenly I spied it. For its size its surprisingly well camouflaged. Grabbed the cache and signed the dry logbook. Returned as found and tried to avoid popping out of the undergrowth when cars came past so it didn't look like a convenience stop. Thanks for the cache.
Found with GBNZ and GLAD-NZ on a morning drive. Took some looking but trust the GPS. TFTC.
#1829 Enjoying the afternoon sunshine with a wee trip to collect some caches. Made an attempt but were forced to abandon search due to three kids on the tramp over the road and also a car pulled over in front of us- the driver was having a good ol' natter to somebody who was keeping an eye on us so we decided to pick up Blue Mountains and collect this one on the way past, assuming that our audience would have moved on. Luckily the coast was clear on the second time around and the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC!
Finally nabbed this one after 2 previous failed attempts. The first time due to a muggle waiting at the bus stop to meet her child at the school bus stop. The second time my GPS had me looking in the wrong spot. This time though, I didn't use the GPS, just my Geocaher-nouse-nose. Found it straight away. TFTC!
The hint object is extremely well hidden, but once we found that, the cache was a quick easy find. TFTC
A reasonably quick find - albeit a little bit further inwards than i originally thought. TFTC
A nice easy park up and find cache on the way from Short Straw through to Pinehaven School to check out the new bike track. TFTC.
Cache # 2,273 - last for the day. Thanks to the CO for placing a whole bunch new caches to give us a reason to re-visit the valley. Lovely area. If it weren't so far away from everything I could easily see us living here. Did with Violet Butterfly and Astro Hunter. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Last of a great day with The Wandering Dragons and Astro Hunter. Thanks for all the caches!

While everyone else wandered a long way away I stood and looked for the less obvious hint object. This was a good game ... if you come with your family you can play too. TFTC.
I cannot believe how long it took me to spot the hint item! The co-ordinates seem to be good enough so I can't use them as an excuse. I needed three quick finds today to help me with a challenge and I enjoyed the drive through the valley on a fine evening.
There were several possibilities for this one and the correct hint object was not as obvious as all the rest. Didn't take too long though. Signed log, TFTC
Find number 6 of a personal daily best of 30.
I thought it was going to be obvious were the cache was hiding, but was even more confused when I read the hint as it seemed to be telling me to go to the other side of the road, but with careful eyes the cache was soon in hand. TFTC

#5868. No luck initially to try finding it without the GPS. With the modern civilised equipment, it didn't take too long to locate the correct GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Stunning day, early summer? A foray into the upper reaches of the Hutt.
Feeling almost civilised again!
Cache find was straightforward; log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Nice little village, took a few minutes to find the hint object. Got there in the end with the eagle eyes of Jax479. TFTC
Took ages to read the hint (after trying the obvious!).Found today with Selesi on a days caching thru Moonshine Rd and Whitemans Valley. TFTC
I love this area and its great to have some new caches to have an excuse for a Whitemans Valley drive. With metal-art.
Beautiful sunny day today to collect a few of the Hutt Valley caches with tmann421. Nice quick find. TFTC
Nice quick find while out with Just-Lookin.
Just-Lookin soon found this one
SL Thanks for the cache.

Fitted in nicely with a challenge I'm working on so decided to slip by tonight. Quick find, although I'd also consider this more a micro than a small. TFTC, #6974
Arrived at cache site 4.15pm with no trouble. but then had to interpret what the hint was referring too. After a more careful look found cache signed log and replaced as found.
** FTF **
Wahoo- FTF @ ~7:40am on a frigid morning, with a low fog. Temperature continued to decrease as i hit Whiteman's Valley, dropping from 4 to 2 degrees, but fog clearing nicely by the time I got to this end of the valley, but on the flipside traffic starting to increase.
Co-ordinates reliable, but took me a little while to agree by eye . After that it was another nice quick find, sign and replace with this one as well.
