I spotted the hide as I approached, so a quick retrieve and sign. Beautiful views in both directions here. Tftc!
#6274Travelling from Armidale to Casino today and grabbing some caches as we passed. This was one of them.Great to avenge a DNF from July last year. Thanks for the geo-fun.
Clues helped a lot. It was in plain sight.Just did a lovely Parkrun and had coffee at Zeebras. Will be back again to Casino to cache
I've been here a couple of times before to try to grab this one, and finally got a break in the traffic today! Nothing worse than knowing where a cache is but not being able to get it. 3rd time lucky, picked the right day and time of day. TFTC. International Geocaching Day.
Found it finally!!! Our brains dont think like that so we needed the extra clue. Thanks so much! Windara Wanderers x
Great cache. Nice find on our day trip to Casino.Log is full and needs replacing.TFTC
It is very peaceful here on a warm winters afternoon with the breeze blow9ng through the trees. We found the cleverly hidden cache and then sat and enjoyed the evening. Thanks for the cache!
Very cool location not much of a view anymore but the info on the flying foxes was cool. Here with kiwisteve2 and drobbonz spending the weekend in Alstonville before heading north!
Thanks Fergclan It looks like it belongs there! Great cache and greetings from Orange!
With the motorhome into the countryside of NSW.Our destination was a cycle tour along the new Northern Rivers Rail Trail. We parked our motorhome in Bentley Car Park and then cycled along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail to Casino and back. On the way we had a lot of fun with the interesting signs, the great nature, the adventure caches and all the other caches.Afterwards we searched for many more caches in Casino. Thanks to all owners for showing us the interesting locationssayTeam sissifalke
Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for the cache. Signs as JDT if space is limited
Ok, that was a educational cache for my cousins, even i rarely see this type of hide. Dodged the wasps to make the find.tftc. clearing my dnf list.
Went on a day trip from Tweed to Casino with my Geomum and Geoaunty. Stopped at this cache on the way the beautiful view with this one, we also had quite a lot of cloud cover which added to the river scenery. GZ was located after we wated for muggles to leave area. Thank you for this cache
Family day packed with fun finds and lots of laughs. This was a cool find. Loved the views. Signed as a team as GLN. TFTC cheers n happy caching.
With Geo family visiting I decided I wanted to check out Casino and Kyogle so a route was set and off we went.absolutely great day for caching as it was overcast and sometimes drizzling.we were hoping to try out the WIG but the centre was closed so we just went for a drive around town completing the AL. Stopped by this one on the way as the area was really pretty. What a beautiful old house next door too.
Couldn't find it today. Felt all around, walked across the road to have a wider look, just couldn't spot it. Next time
I like this one, I can just drive by and spot it up high black and white probably not an expected container as such for a beginner
This is a great example of a geocache takes you to an interesting or beautiful place. This fitted the bill on both accounts. Beware! The terrain is a bit more than 1.5. My Walking Ladder partner had to make a good step up to reach the cache and replace it. It isnt an easy reach from the footpath. I enjoyed reading the information provided on the early use of the area and once regeneration is completed it should be a beautiful location.
While staying in Casino for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , we just had to get out and find a few caches in this beautiful country town ...All Good .. TFTC ..
Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so it is time to start heading west and get in to Qld.
I have never been up this way before so it will be interesting to see what towns I come across in my travels.
My next stop is Casino and during the Ad Lab stages I called in here to look for this one.
This one was really quick as I had just found one exactly the same down the road about 1/2 ago.
Thanks Fergclan TFTC.

Checked today, and yes the location has been recently painted and gardened and cover and cache gone, replaced with black and white up high old cache
I too have a dnf. I think the structure has been repainted very recently. Some paint dribbles are still soft to the fingernail. Maybe a check is in order please.
I really thought this would be straight forward but it wasn't. I looked at the gallery for an idea of the type of container then searched all the black and white. No luck for me here today. I'm only passing through town so no chance of a comeback. Thanks anyway.
A quick find for Mr Minion while visiting the town . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Quick search and we soon found ground 'zero'. Great cache.. I like these. Have a FP
Will def come back for a look feel like I missed it can someone give Us a new hint plz
Spent a lovely day in Casino. Loved the spot by the river, especially the bats, but was unable to find this one after a quick look. Will maybe have another go sometime!
It’s not what I expected to find. I didn’t know what it was to be honest.. but now I do.. looking at this area after the flood it’s quite a change from the last time I was here 7 months ago.
A nice fast easy find, even got the FTF on the new log.
The devastation that you can see from the nearby river though is beyond words.

Replaced this today and moved location slightly as someone is obviously removing it from original location.
I replaced this today with a temporary cache till I order a better container,up high.
Found today on our drive up to Byron Bay from Coffs Harbour, nice to get a letterbox and some other really cool caches.

On the road from Coffs to Byron today, we've taken the 'back-road' through Grafton/Casino and Lismore, mainly to grab a bag of trigs, and a few caches thrown in too....
We made a quick find here - both of us.... as there are two identical containers at GZ, one is just 5 feet higher than the other. We signed both..... TFTC!

The boys in blue are patrolling this area this afternoon. We're not acting suspiciously, are we? TFTC
Been a while since we did any caching and had a bit of time this morning before we left. After a lovely coffee and breakie we walked to this one and Geoson made a quick find. Then realised there was a shortcut footbridge to the other side of the river - we would never have known if we hadn't stopped to do some caching! SL, TFTC!
Been to Dayboro from Cairns to attend the Mega, quick trip to Sth. Australia now turned tail and heading slowly back up north. 3 June 2021 12:16 pm Tyfc Fergclan total caches now 2145 nice hide.
This weekend, I headed south to NSW to Lismore and Casino on Saturday, followed by Springbrook National Park on the Gold Coast on Sunday, meeting different geocaching groups on both days.
Today, I started finding a few geocaches in Lismore before joining Beardman75 and georode in travelling to Casino. Our focus today was the *Ferg Loves Puzzles* series, and we managed to find a few others in and around the township of Casino, before departing around 15:00 hr back to Lismore. I then took the solo journey to stay the night at Robina, travelling via Goolmangar, Coffee Camp, Nimbin, Blue Knob, Mount Burrell, Uki, and Murwillumbah. A long day out and about!
Some cool views from this formal viewing platform at GZ. As we started to search, it was georode who made the quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Fergclan for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We had time for a couple more finds before our lunch event so parked here and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache
I visited the Viewing Platform today after having lunch at the nearby park. I looked at the hint and had an idea that I was looking for a certain type of cache. I knew that I was in the right spot but did not see the cache. I didn't give up and instead found a cache hide that I hadn't seen before. As they say hiding in plain sight. Thanks for the cache Fergclan
With all the Mother’s Day frivolities over I was given a leave pass to go and cache. My plan was to do a few in Lismore and then concentrate on doing as many as I can in Casino, before heading back to Brisbane. I had a great time on my own just driving around Casino. Meet some really nice people at the information centre and some interesting characters at the pub. I was concentrating on the “Ferg Loves Puzzles” series and the “Northern Rivers FTF Hounds” series. I also managed to grab a few that were in the way, lol.
Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches I collected in my time in Casino, some very interesting caches and puzzles.
This was one I did as I passed by and on the way to grab some dinner and just before a huge storm was about to break. A nice easy find today, with the log signed and cache replaced as found I was on my way to seek some shelter at the pub. Thanks for placing this one here.

Taking a little jaunt over the border, turning a few caches into smilies along the way. Touring Casino before heading back north, finding a few solved puzzles and experiencing everything this lovely town has to offer
