So after discovering the foot bridge across to this side of the river it was time to do a few more caches, sorry we didn't have enough time to complete them all but I'm glad we were able to do a few more. Unfortunately the log was wet and we couldn't get it out of the cool cache container to sign. Can provide photo evidence of find if required! TFTC.
Been to Dayboro from Cairns to attend the Mega, quick trip to Sth. Australia now turned tail and heading slowly back up north. 3 June 2021 12:26 pm Tyfc Fergclan total caches now 2146 log full and wet.nice camo
This weekend, I headed south to NSW to Lismore and Casino on Saturday, followed by Springbrook National Park on the Gold Coast on Sunday, meeting different geocaching groups on both days.
Today, I started finding a few geocaches in Lismore before joining Beardman75 and georode in travelling to Casino. Our focus today was the *Ferg Loves Puzzles* series, and we managed to find a few others in and around the township of Casino, before departing around 15:00 hr back to Lismore. I then took the solo journey to stay the night at Robina, travelling via Goolmangar, Coffee Camp, Nimbin, Blue Knob, Mount Burrell, Uki, and Murwillumbah. A long day out and about!
We crossed the river to get to the other side, passing by several shopping trolleys that were unfortunately placed along this walkway. A CITO is certainly tempting here for a future visit. We then continued our walk to GZ through the sparse trees, to make a reasonably quick cache find. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was also unfortunately saturated. Thanks Fergclan for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We made a quick find here and discovered someone sitting amongst the trees as we headed on to the next one. Thanks for the cache
I walked across the bridge after finding the Viewing Platform cache. I'm always happy to visit a new park. I headed towards the shrub and didn't take long to spot the cute little fellow. I didn't sign the log because it is saturated and would have torn. Thanks for the experience Fergclan
A new day in Casino and the thrill of buzzing around town finishing off the “Ferg loves Puzzles” caches, collecting a few others as I passed by and then hopefully start the “Northern Rivers FTF hounds” before heading back to Brisbane. After last night’s huge storm and lightning display, the morning greeted me with a thick fog. It wasn’t till about 9 o’clock before the blue skies appeared and a warm day continued.
Seeing as though I took my bike to Casino and haven’t used it yet I thought this time would be nice to get out and go for a ride and grab the four around the sporting fields. There was no issues with this cache and with the log signed and cache replaced as found I was on my way again. Thanks for placing this one here.

Taking a little jaunt over the border, turning a few caches into smilies along the way.

I am propped up in Casino visiting friends while I wait to hear if the Dayboro Mega event is going ahead. It is, but I have decided to spend another day here anyway. That has given me the opportunity to get rid of the horrible blue sad face on my map. An easy enough find but the log is completely soaked. I have a photo for the CO if wanted. TFTC Fergclan TNLN SL
Quick find this afternoon. Out with Ms Maddy and Aussie Liahona, plenty of chatter and laughs. Thanks. Fav point alloc

Our last day in Casino this time around, out on the bike for some much needed exercise. A cool start to the day, but ended up quite warm. No DNF's today so a bonus.

Spotted cache from just in front although couldn’t get to it due to long grass and snake season
Found with Mrs BillHill, we are doing a little round trip around Northern NSW, visiting Grafton, Casino, Lismore, Murwillumbah and Ballina. Dropping in on Byron bay and some more along the way. I found it OK, and could reach it as I'm 6' 2", a bit higher than the hint suggests. The cache was dry but the O-rinng is missing and so will get wet next time it rains.
Log signed and cache replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** Fergclan.
This is the 1st cache of 4 for today.

Nice easy little find for our mini geocachers. Was a bit high for them though. Signed as “ROB” for Ruthvens, OSullivanCrew and BanditBruces. TFTC!
The government has now allowed for us to move around NSW. We hooked up the caravan & headed north, our 1st stop being Coffs Harbour camping at the Rugby Club.
Arrived into Casino today, set up in the caravan park for a couple of days.
Thanks for placing this cache Fergclan

A little search and ended up finding on ground. Replaced cache where we thought it might belong
Cache wy from being on ground... hopefully will dry but may need to be replaced and secured so does not fall again
Bats don’t like being disturbed. Luckily we were in and out fairly quick. Great camo. TFTC
Fergclan do awesome cache containers. Thanks for taking me almost into the bat colony. They’re noisy today!
Wow, it sure is hot out here today. Even though it is already after 5 pm, the sun is really burning down. It’s on days like this that I always hope it’s just too hot for the slithery snakes to be out when we are.
Lucky we have our suncream, hats and sun protection. Close by to GZ there was a tree which look like a Bat Christmas tree with bat decorations. There must’ve been hundreds of them there.
Well..... that’s a nice container at GZ. Now down and across the river then up before heading back.
Thanks Fergclan

Whilst H was looking high and low T read the logs. T went over to give him a clue and there it was straight in her line of vision. H was not impressed TFTC
TFTC Fergclan! Accurate coordinates and well suited to the location! Very clever!
while we where waiting for our chicken and chips to be cooked I thought I would get this cache. It is a lovely spot overlooking the river. TFTC
Found while staying overnight in Casino as part of the Blue Mountains RFS Strike Team fighting the Tenterfield bushfires. My room mate is a heavy snorer so had an early morning to pick up a few local caches.
Visiting Casino today and stopped to grab this one. I remember as a kid walking across the foot bridge.

TFTC. This is our last day In Casino so an opportune time to attempt this after having found the Viewing Platform a few days ago. Great and appropriate Camo for this one. A quick find after walking across the river.
Well whats better than finding one...?
So I walked across the river from the other find and low and behold CIH.
Great concealment.
Signed a damp log. Sorry now paper on me.

Cleaning out the area now, and I was on the ‘other’ side of the river, making a quick find of a cool hide..... favorite from me, as Cache matched the location perfectly...

Great cache container here and I lovely walk across the river on the bridge. Thanks for bringing me tp this spot
After grabbing the cache at the viewing platform, I wandered over the river and found this cache. Nice to see the water running in the river again. It's been a while! Clever little hide, the container is so relevant! Thanks Fergs!
