Nice quick park and grab with plenty of room to pull off the road. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on now on our way south after heading north for warmer weather. From Cooktown back to Notth East Victoria, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
On my way back to Brissie. Thought I would do some caching on the way, and get paid for it LOL. TFTC

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC cache me up

Walked past it..turned around to come out of the bushes. Bingo gotcha.. Heading back to Mackay now..
Blue faces make me sad but it's too sunny to keep looking. Spent ages inside the car and out and couldn't spot it today
Not for me on this occasion. Too hot and sunny to continue looking. Was not able to see from the raid as others had said and spend a fair amount of time searching
Did a spot of nightcaching with our geoboy... he found this one by himself. TFTC found BFE style
Old log has been soaked and moulded together into a blob. I have placed old log in a clip seal bag with a new all weather log.

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, cache me up.

Found by Mary and David at 16:05. We remember Show time - D the Royal Easter Show in Sydney, and M the Melbourne Show. Such a time to look forward to for young and old alike. Cooking, flower arrangements, crafts and of course show bags, as well as horses, cattle and other animals to view. Junk food and carnival rides sorted out the cast iron stomachs. Our thanks to cache me up.
A quick park and grab along this busy road. Loving caching around the Mackay area.
Passing through the area with the geovan in tow, we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Finally after two weeks being unexpectedly detained in Mackay we are on the road heading south, at least the weather has now cleared
Naturally a stop or two, or more along the way but sadly my travel list is being shortened as we are two weeks behind our schedule plus I’m currently the only driver so a lot harder to get in/out as fast
A nice quick find at GZ and onto the next

Tonight is the Relay for Life. I figured what better way to see off my Relay for Life trackable than by releasing it into the wild tonight. It was dark but I had the cache in hand within a few minutes. There was a nest of little black ants inside the cache container who were not happy about being disturbed. SL. TN. Left trackable. TFTC.
Tftc. Cache number four on our 5rip from Brisbane to Townsville. Breaking the drive.
A bit of searching but closer reading of the hint & directions yielded the bounty. Good clues & a good cache. Grandkids are enjoying the searching with us.
Found it- this was our first ever find and we will be sure to keep playing. Thanks so much!
