A thoroughly enjoyable day out with Bowiewhist, homing in on as many of Ellie's caches as we could between rain showers. Nice to have a complete change of scene, and we only got soaked once!

Out from our respective bases in MK and Bedford, Jenni Jay and I opted for a partial day in Welwyn for lunch between caches. Arrived here from #7 via crossing the main road and then taking a path along a bit in order to cross the stream. Passed the multi info hub on the way to this one and knew we would need to double back as the car was parked near #5. Went round the host and then I spied it. #2782
Tried to find the two caches closer to Welwyn but muggles abounded. Found this one relatively quickly. Didn't sign the long as hadn't brought the pen. No visitors since 3rd June!

A lovely riverside walk. I impressed myself with the Latin names! A great hide. Caching with 20Sarah19 so the log was probably signed as SSB.TFTC
After attempting to find ‘the sitting tree’ we went on to find this one however we stayed on the other side of a big flooded area which was too deep to cross so we walked to the end and crossed where the puddle had ended. Found the cache quite quickly and signed log as INN. Nice and dry inside. TFTC ??
Found it! Nice and easy find, no more space on the logbook so unfortunately I couldn't sign. Replaced as found, Tftc!??
Unfortunately far too wet in every direction to check this today. Will return asap and replace log unless anyone else gets there before me to help!
Checking my caches today, now we’ve lost our beautiful Ellie, it’s not quite the same doing this walk, but alls good here and very muddy!

### Out walking on my local favourite walk, minus Ellie as, although she’s still with us, at 17 years old it’s just a walk too far! Noticed a big branch down but cache still in place. ###

I've been meaning to look for this one for ages, but never quite got round to it. When I went for it today, I found it very easily and realised how many times I must have walked right past it!

Skybluesbazza and I were staying in Welwyn Garden City for the weekend to see his grandparents. Today we decided to get out for a walk and had caught the bus over to Welwyn. It looked like the stream had flooded slightly, but it did not impede us in our search.
Guiding Nutter and I were in Welwyn Garden City visiting my grandparents, and this morning had a few hours before seeing them. We headed to "Old" Welwyn for some caching. A quick find for us as we noticed the stream had flooded a bit.

It was nice to be back in the area on this chilly winters day in search of some more plastic pots.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit walking a couple of series and finding a few cache’s along the road which gave us a nice haul of finds.
This was the last of the series that we walked today although we didn’t have time to complete the whole series, we enjoyed walking half of the loop and look forward to returning to complete the remaining half in the near future.
A quick find here with the accurate coordinates and a little knowledge of our trees.
