Visited several months ago but was still under water. Now we know it is again high and dry I have arranged for Geohubby to replace. Should happen in the next day or so.
I had a good look, now that the water levels have dropped, but no sign of a container. If it was under water, it probably floated away. As it is now 7 months since the CO disabled it, I suggest it should be archived. I believe I spotted the likely hiding spot (see photos) but the cupboard was bare.
This dam is worth a look if youre in the area as it's not often that there is so much water.
I'm temporarily disabling this cache though as it is definitely under water.

I'm guessing the recent floods have swept this one away. Will be checking tomorrow.
We searched high and the boys searched low, even jumped in and searched under water but came away empty handed.
On my way to The Red Centre Experience mega event in Alice Springs over Easter 2017 with m4yb, traveling in Max the GeoUte staying in Jonathan Swift the GeoCamper.
Had a good look for this one first but GZ is under water now, so called in some reinforcements to hunt with no success.

Assume the cache is under the water?? Please check - I am sure I did took some photos but delete by accident

A couple of weeks ago, I was looking for something to do over the Australia Day weekend. A camping trip sprung to mind.
Checked with the geoson, he was keen, so a plan was hatched for a trip to Kalgoorlie and the northern goldfields.
The gear was sorted, the car was packed and away we went.
Day 3: Leonora, Menzies and Lake Ballard was the destination for today. We were up early knowing we had a fair bit of distance to cover.
A nice walk to stretch the legs. I wonder what this place was like in its hey day.
Team Outnabout - SVKR_WA found your cache Niagara Rocks on 28/1/17, 09:18. This is my find #1810 and find #7 today.
The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Out and about doing the tourist thing in the Goldfields and added a smiley here TFTC
Spending a few days finding and admiring the wild flowers before heading East across the Great central road. There were a couple of muggles nearby trying for the perfect Kodak experience but they soon moved on and we were able to claim the smilie.
Thanks Team Outnabout
Thanks Team Outnabout
Interesting area and a good spot for a cache. Dodged the rain and found the cache quite easily. TFTC
Did the walks here last year but the cache eluded us. It was a catalyst for a return visit this year. The cache was quickly found. I don't know what the problem could have been last time .
On the way back to Kalgoorlie from Leinster, I decided to detour through Kookynie and Niagra and grab a few caches.
After parking nearby, I wandered over and was fortunate enough to find this one quickly. It could have been a long search.

TFTC! Found during a 6-Day trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie, Esperance and back to Perth via many back roads and country towns. We found a huge number of caches, clocking up nearly 3000km for the entire trip.
The highlights of the trip have been picking up a bunch of old caches in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding towns, placed by some of Western Australia's first geocachers.
We ventured as far north as Leonora in search of our prizes even visiting a large number of ghost towns along the golden outback trail, some of the most amazing places I've seen in my life, see the pics if you want to know more.
During our trips out from Kal we think we visited nearly every gravesite or headstone in the region with the number of caches in and around cemeteries!
We completed a large amount of cache maintenance around the Kal area, with a large number of the older caches suffering with cracked lids, smashed containers, wet logs and alike. We planned to help about a dozen caches with new containers and ran out after the first couple of days. So if you're in the area please help out as best you can.
We also picked up a number of caches in Esperance placed by some of the newest cachers in the state, who seem to have so much passion and energy.
We ventured out to Cape Le Grande and picked up a few of the caches there, not quite being game enough to grab the views of hellfire cache but we grabbed all of the others we paid for our walking that night!
We even had time to place a couple of caches in my Country Cache series so please look out for them on your travels. Thanks to the locals who have kindly agreed to maintain them.
Thanks to all of the Cache owners for placing the caches that we found, hopefully you can place a few more for our next trip
Thanks
Well niagra wasn't originally on the list of caches but with two traditionals here an EC and another two in kookyine it was quickly added on! Well worth the visit and a good history lesson on 1896 construction.

Went on a trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie down to Esperance and then back to Perth. Spent 6 days finding, hiding and even maintaining caches along the way.
The majority of caches were found easily and in good condition even some archived ones.
Took a few travel bugs and placed along the way.
TFTH TFTC.

Found as we head home after a long trip around WA to the Kimberley, Top End, SA, home via the Nullarbor and Kalgoorlie. Great place to camp for the night. TFTC. SL.
Off for a wander and hopefully grab this cache. Love the breakaway country so are camping for a few days. An easy find and cache is in good condition. Thanks for placing this cache here Team Outnabout. TNLN SL
What an amazing place, this is the second time we have stayed here and this time we are staying longer. Fantastic history of the build and it's great that it is available for camping. Went across to Kookynie for lunch, a huge hammer with chips.unfortunately more of the old brick buildings are collapsing so I guess eventually it will be just piles of rubble. Thanks for placing the cache here.
Found while camping nearby - very nearby- on the Niagara rocks. Great to have a cache to go find while travelling. We got the other one nearby also...the third we had previously found so all good there. Thanks for putting this one here for us to find. A pity under the new Groundspeak rules we are no longer able to put a cache out if it is more than 200 kms from our home.
Was out in the goldfields with two other cars from Albany on fun 4WD fortnight. This was part of a big circle including part of the Holland Track, Baladjie Rock, the Helena and Aurora Ranges, the Gus Luck prospectors' track, Lake Ballard, Queen Victoria Springs, Zanthus and Peak Charles. Many of these interesting places had caches and this was one of them.
The caravanners seemed more interested in what was going to be on TV that night so was able to make an easy find. Thanks Team Outnabout

Camping at Niagara with the work crew. Not much water in the dam, but enough to float the kayak and the yabbies were biting. Thanks for the hunt.
Found this one easy enough.
The water in the dam is a lot lower than when I was here last.
