Up for the weekend to attend the Remember the Anzacs 100 Years Event and the Unique Triple R (River, Rubbish, Removal) CITO Event and to spend some time out on the water to enjoy the mornings kayaking and exploring the area in the afternoon.
After lunch, we joined up with T-Tech, Iolanthek, Teamdfl, brother colin and ruzzelz for an afternoon of hijinks where we had some hits and misses throughout the afternoon adventure. We managed to find our way to this cache when someone quickly pointed at something thinking it was the cache. Ruzzelz had failed to find this cache on his way up for the events so we thought we would be able to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, despite having spent quite a bit of time searching, and obtaining further information from a previous finder, we came up empty handed.
Thank you hulioxxx for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy.

T-Tech and I are at Dunethin Rock for the weekend to attend the 2 Events here Today is the CITO event and we have again teamed up with Brother Colin, teamdfl and ruzzelz for a paddle on the river.
After the CITO event this morning the five of us headed out again to get a few more caches done. ruzzelz had a DNF on this one a couple of days ago, and we all figured we'd show him up and make the find for him but alas, that was not the case We all searched for about an hour, and even with a PAF who sent us a photo, and an awful lot more scratching around in the dirt, we didn't get the find

This week-end is a big week-end event up the Sunshine coast.
After a little paddling this morning we (IolantheK, T-tech, Ruzzelz, Just a Trifle, teamdfl and I) headed out to find a few caches.
Unfortunately we did not find this one even with a PAF and photo.

We had been to the CITO event this morning and now a small group was out and about looking for a few more smileys.
The crew road tripped in two vehicles to GZ. Along for the fun were Ruzzelz, Just a trifle, IolantheK, T-Tech and Brother Colin.
We spent way too long looking for this one. No luck at all for us.

Cache still in place. Very hard to find due to plant growth since placement. Good luck
Just checking this one for someone else, it appears to be missing from where I found it...can the CO please check it ?
Out and about up on the mountain and we decided to have a look see for this cache.
We spent quite a while here and have received specific information from a previous finder, but still no luck for us today
Looks like we weren't the only ones looking around lately. Sad to see others digging up things that shouldn't be dug up
Hope this one hasn't gone AWOL and it was us just having a boys look
Thanks for the hunt hulioxxx

found this last week with my sister and friends ir was definitely a difficult one but well worth. very clever
This one was our sixth DNF in a row - we were having a very bad day. When we arrived there were some other people at GZ - they could have been cachers, but we hung back and waited in the shade till they left. We then moved in to search but after quite a while searching we came away empty handed.
Had a look for this one today. We were actually there for a while and I got a little too much sun. We thought about what could be hiding/holding the cache and eliminated a few things. Finally we had to move on as some nearby muggles were paying us some attention. I have an idea of what it is so we will be back!!! Thanks hulioxxx.
Second attempt at this evil little bugger. Have in my head what I'm looking for but the GPS had us at zero at 6 different spots in a 15mtr radius.. Thank god for the view to numb my frustration!!
We've attempted this a couple of times now to no avail. We know it's micro, but as small as a blade of grass???
We'll be back to attempt this again!
We'll be back to attempt this again!
Hooray, we finally found it. A little help from the CO., caching brains engaged and voila.
This evil cache has been tricking us for a long time. Love it, love it, love it.
This evil cache has been tricking us for a long time. Love it, love it, love it.
Had no chance the wind was almost blowing me away, and two muggles did absolutely not plan to leave...
Back again at another attempt to find this pretty evil hide and try and finally crack my 100th found geocache. I have lost count as to how many times i have come to this park to try and find this sneaky hide. After grabbing a couple of iced coffee from maccas dad and i headed up to buderim, we spent just over an hour here today. We Were foiled by muggles quite a few times whilst we were searching here and there. The GPS bounce played havoc today, so we expanded the search but had no luck. I had contacted the CO a while ago to gather some additional information, however i was still unable to find the cache. Although I am pretty confident that i know where it is not hidden No doubt i will return, I'm determined to not let this one go unfound!
We tried to find this good cache but even with hints from CO it was a no go. We are off home to Merbein near Mildura so wont be back for quite a while. Just saying it must be a really tricky hide.
Yahoo, finally found with the assistance of PAF. Thankyou again for your help, much appreciated. A well camouflaged cache and deserves a favourite point awarded. TFTC TNLNSL.
Well what a great hide. Excellent camo. Our friends mickezza had all sorts of trouble and asked us to help. 2nd time lucky with the find only after the generous hints from PAF. Thankyou friend for your help. Out with mickezza , her sisterinlaw (jan juc girl), brother inlaw (juc boy) who was the actual found. Tftc TNLNSL. Fav point from us too.
My otherwise fruitful day almost came to a screaming halt at this one! I must have been loitering about for half an hour and I was pretty sure of what I was looking for, but I eventually saw the little blighter, well hidden and camouflaged. The coords were about 4-6m off for me but it was very overcast too. While I looked out at the beautiful misty view a male birdwing butterfly gracefully fluttered over the bleeding heart trees down below - beautiful creature to see in the wild.
Thanks hulioxxx for a great cache in a stunning location!

Had another attempt today & with some more help but couldn't find again. Will attempt again soon.
Kezza phoned and said she needed help with finding this cache. Off we go and with fresh set of eyes said we will find . Well 45 mins later we walked away and said its either gone or it's one heck of a good camo. We will not let it defeat us and will be back again soon with reinforcements.
Out with my sister in-law who was visiting from Melbourne. As this cache is so close to home we decided to attempt. Well , we looked and looked to no avail, until the rain started, and then we had to head for cover. Still don't think we can find as nothing looks out of place to us. Thankyou anyway, we will attempt another day.
Had to do a bit of Xmas shopping - so a cache on the way is essential !
I had this one on my watch list since it was placed, Finally I made it here and was able to locate it - reading the previous logs helped a lot .
Signed logsheet while enjoying the view 10:25 AM.

I knew this one was a tricky one but I had heard some stories so had an idea of where to look. If I hadn't have heard anything I think I would not have found this hidden gem.
Awesome cache and cache location.

TFTC!! Almost alluded me and geokids..... beautiful park and a credit to council for preserving it for future generations....
Back today after my caching friends took pity on me. Thanks friends.
You have no idea the places I searched on the hint and how long that beautiful view was in my vision.
It took me only a few minutes to find the sneaky cache.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks hulioxxx All good with this cache
A favourite cache from me as to the brilliant hide

Arrived a bit too early for a doctor's appointment nearby so thought I'd have another try at this one with the new coordinates. Cold and windy and quite an overcast view but as I approached the new gz reviewing some logs, I reread the hint and finally it clicked. But which one?
Had to look very closely and the sneaky imposter was located. Great container camo in such an impressive spot. Favourite point from us. Such a great idea!

Came here during the daytime and tried both sets of coordinates.
2nd set wanted me down in the garden down hill ( I guess the difference between an iphone and a GPS)
View is fantastic.

Watching the storm rolling in Privatears and myself were on our hands and knees looking for this one but was unable to find it at night.. maybe this is a cache for when the sun is up.. I can imagine it would be a beautiful view.

Out with Cassow11ry, had a good little search around this area, a few things looked not quite right, but nothing that I could make as an actual hide. Not sure if we used the updated Co-ords though [:/]
Second attempt at this one but needed to PAF. Finally found. What an evil cache this one is! Great camo. Love your work Hulioxxx. A favourite from me. TFTC
What a view! No luck for us today with this one but what a lovely spot. Will definitely be back for another attempt at this one though.
I was very disappointed to read the personal attacks in these logs. I happen to know hulio and samdoggy very well and I have never been lucky to log a FTF from their caches. I think it's just a simple case of the green eyed monster!
I would like to thank konie and wesso for their positive feedback to improve this cache and ensure minimal damage to the surrounding environment.
Please note that any unvalidated personal comments should be addressed through the appropriate avenue and not on the public forum
I hope many more cachers come to this beautifully preserved parkland and discover our hidden treasure

#590 After talking to Dahumbug about this cache it was decided that we would both head there for a search. With some corrected coordinates and 5 minutes of looking we had the cache in hand. I had previously looked in the same spot without success yesterday. Top cammo on this one. Well done on the hide. samdoggy0901 must have mental telepathy to be able to walk up to the cache and just find it within seconds like their other FTF @ Trolls lair. ~ TFTC hulioxxx
Wow, another very hard to find cache that captures the same view. I spent four attempts on that one when I was a newbie and didn't want to repeat the same adventure on this one. When I heard spinna was coming back to visit this one, I put my hand up quickly to tag along...I had to see this thing for myself. Once at GZ, the weedy little beast unveiled itself with the help of some coordinates shared from finders earlier in the day. I give an A+ for effort here, what a great hide...and I hope that fellow cachers don't harm the immediate area. This visit we were also graced with the presence of *SuzieSquirrel* and while we were chewing the fat, we also met electro_man! I love an impromptu group find.
I see there was some going-ons here with the FTF. Even though FTF isn't officially part of the Groundspeak game, the bagging rights of a first to find is a game within the game, and sought by many, and statistics for such endeavour can be viewed on external sites. I remember one time when a cache was published but the container was not in place and I caught the CO hiding the container 12 hrs after it was published. I reminded the CO(cache owner) that lots of adults target first to finds and spend a lot money on fuel and spend a lot of time to claim the *prize*. I also reminded them that there are people that come far and wide (100+kms) for such opportunities.
Anyway, I am babbling again, and just would like to finish with another compliment about a great hide, and congratulations hulioxxx on 100 finds. #100 is a good one.
Thanks hulioxxx

#574 ~ Had a look again today before uni with a hint from the CO after my DNF yesterday. But was too exhausted physically after a huge 5 hour mountain climb yesterday to really give it my full attention in the mid afternoon sun. So off I went to uni and luckily had just messaged spinna76 that I had an early mark while he was on his way to GZ to meet up with dahumbug. Met the boys there and could still probably go back and have some difficulty finding it again. A great hide, not where you might originally think. TFTC hulioxxx
After doing the school run this morning I headed up the hill to the new area that I had checked out a couple of days ago. Noting that the local FTF hit squad had failed I wondered what I would or wouldn't find.
Parking nearby I was heading towards GZ when a familiar van drove across in front of me. Seems Mr Wesso was interested too so after a bit of a chat we made our way into the new park. Arriving at GZ we enjoyed the views before starting our search.[^]
It was pretty obvious where people had been before us so we stood back and LOOKED for what the hint indicated. However after nearly 10 minutes we had both come up empty handed.
We expanded our search and were now thinking that maybe we'd fail too. Scratching my head I decided to rest and at this point the eyes focused a bit better. I smiled and looked over to Mr Wesso and said, "Found it!" He said, "Where?" I said "there" and he still asked again where it was before finally seeing what I was looking at. [^]
So the clever little cache was retrieved and it's been a while since I've seen one the same and this one is placed in the perfect spot to cause some momentary grief. [^][^]
Once the log was finally retrieved we signed our names and then replaced it as found. [^]
I've added the co-ordinates which worked for me as I found the posted co-ords to be about 7 mtrs out. It may stop future searchers from destroying the garden.
I can also say; YOU DO NOT NEED TO STEP INTO THE GARDEN AT ANY TIME TO FIND THE CACHE. YOU NEED KEEN EYESIGHT AND THE HINT SAYS IT ALL.
Well done on the hide hulioxxx, a favourite point from me.

Well, I was chatting to Konie this morning about this new cache up in Buderim that had a few people scratching their heads.
So after school drop off I headed to Buderim and parked near GZ, as I drove in Konie was walking towards GZ. He stopped and waiting for me, so we both headed down to GZ.....WOW what a view!! Once we arrived at GZ we could see where cachers had been looking.
So we sat down and studied the area. After about 5 minutes we thought about were we would place a cache of this type. So we wandered about 6m away from GZ and we began our study of the area once again.
While I was looking in one location Konie was sitting down enjoying the views. Then all of a sudden he "Old Eagle Eye" said come here..............I sat down next to him and I said, have you found it????
A big smile come on his dial and he said yes....... I said where??? He said there.....I said where???? He said there it is!!!
Well I said Bugger me.................That was one well camouflaged cache, by the way it's a micro not small!
We signed the log and before we left we returned the cache back to where we found it, so it already for the next lucky punter.
I have awarded this cache one of our valued favorite points for it's location and evilness.

Checked out the new park while in Buderim for lunch and some errands this afternoon. No luck despite crawling all around the structure at gz and trying to spy anything unusual. Luckily no muggles about at 1400h. Nice views though, that's for sure. Will have to listen out for more clues before having another go for this one.
Found at 1745.
I arrived at this great park to be greeted by 3 other geocachers.
They had just found this well disguised cache and were happy to give me updated coordinates (the originals are slightly wrong).

Congrats to Samdoggy0901 for FTF. Note to self, must make friends with CO so I can get a FTF on their caches.
Searched for what seemed like forever as the FTFers were leaving, after finding it within minutes. Three of us searching and no find. Must be pretty tricky o_O
