A cracking spot, a good hide, and a nice container. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
Best one yet, who would have known that spot was located just about in the middle of Launceston
Always good to find a larger cache out in the wilds. Enjoyed my walk in this park and was pleased to see the cache in the first spot I checked. TFTC
Having had the Flu and been home confined for two weeks I needed to get out and get some fresh air so decided to head to the Punchbowl reserve to get some caches and enjoy a walk.Cache and contents in excellent condition.
We had a really good look around and climbed up lots of rocks but there was nothing to be found here!
Found! Lots of wallaby friends around. Cache is in great condition with good clean swaps
I have replaced the cache at the correct GZ (where GPS should be accurate). I had a look around for any sign of the original container but figured it must be gone.
I have a new cache ready to go and it will be replaced in the coming daysEdit: oh jeez, looks like I'll have to move it to a new spot and dispose of the... other contents
### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner. The cache owner needs to:* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present. Otherwise :* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information.. **Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**. Alternatively:* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by %CO% and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache. *Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches. Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.Thank youBalayangCommunity Reviewer -Australia
I've tried to contact Ryan00 over a few caches but no response over 6 weeks. I think it's time that some need to move on if they aren't going to be maintained.I'd happily maintain them with some guidance since I haven't found them previously.
Not really sure what to say about this cache. 15m from location. Actually thought we'd found someone's stash. Do not bring children! Not due to the climb or the environment, just don't bring children.
This need some owner maintenance. We didn't want to be carrying around a drug stash and that is what seems to be in the cache right now.
Found with McAdies and Geo_Eddie.I am having a great time visiting Tasmania.Thank you for placing this geocache for us to find today!
Found with McAdies and Jelly_Bean14.We are on holidays in Tasmania. What a great spot and thanks for placing a cache here for us to find.
Found on our Trip to Tasmania. What a beautiful spot here. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find today.Unfortunately the cache has had some rather not safe additions to it. We didn't have any bag with us so couldn't bring it down.
After seeking answers for the nearby Earth Cache, we cottoned on to this one on our way back down the hill. Great hide in a great spot in a great container. No trolls here either ! Have a favourite from us Ryan00.
Great little spot for an adventure:). Gps a bit unreliable near GZ. If you are more than 10 m from the main trail you are too far. Tftc
Today The X-Trailers and I travelled around Launceston visiting parks and walking around the city.
We had a great day which went too quickly. TFTC

A group of us (TrinityNZ, kiwicouple, G-2, Pagenz, NZ_B, Jude_E, GraciesGPSfun, supernanny, Net61 and myself Gorby = 11 human beings) from New Zealand have come over to cache in Tasmania, stayed at Hadley Orient Hotel in Hobart for the last 3 nights. Stayed our first night last night here Launceston. This is our 5th day here. I have G-2 (driver) and Pagenz with me in our rental. No idea where the others are.
I went up the hill with Pagenz, she went right I went straight ahead to do the EC.

There was a fair amount of stamping int he grass and branches as New Zealanders we are concerned about snakes and other creatures which can bite and kill you. Such a large cache!

A cool walk from the bottom carpark, back up to the top! We saw a wallaby and a few other critters as we checked out the waypoints of the nearby EC. Grabbing this one along the way we were happy to see a nice big container for path tags and other swag items of value! Thanks for the cache Ryan00 - favourite point added... Punchbowl is not famous for punchbowls...

I went for a walk through the reserve with my daughter today and came past this cache. After scaring a couple of wallabies away I found the cache after a short search.

Our first cache find in Punchbowl. We are visiting from Brisbane. Whilst on an afternoon walk on Sunday a family from a neighbourhood house told us we should visit Punchbowl. I am so pleased they did as it was such a lovely place to visit and even greater as there were a couple of caches to get. This was a nice quick find. Then up the hill we went. TFTC.
Just a note to say we checked in on this one on our walk today still there in good condition the area is slightly harder to navigate but still achievable
Looked and looked for ages. Can the next cachet send me some photos of the location of the cache
Hi Ryan00 , many thanks for the cache, found with my great mate AlbyDangles (a previous finder here).
Today we'd headed north under the pretence of collecting a piece of furniture; but of course we were geocaching, and may I say, a great day out with fantastic company.
Back in Launnie after a side trip to Mount Barrow ended in disappointment, thwarted by nasty nasty weather, we still had more than an hour to fill in pre-furniture, so we targetted a few caches in Norwood and Punchbowl.
We were mid-way thru the nearby EarthCache waypoints, and stopped to grab this one.
Thanks for the reason to stop here.
Cheers, EPs.

A final cache in punchbowl for the day. A wallaby watched us as we located, retrieved and signed the log book.

This is where I looked last time but the Muggles must have got it. This time I got it. I have left a Ninga TB hoping it stay in Tas so some can claim a discover.
Love this spot ! spent so much time around here but never knew of this little nook. TFTC
Couldn't find it, went to the top but navigation took us down the hill where there was no view and had a look around but couldn't see it getting dark so had to give up
Replaced the cache in the correct spot and replaced some of the contents of the cache.
I visited here recently and could only find the bottle where the cache was meant to be. I'll have to replace it soon if it is not further downhill.
It appears as though the coordinates are only inaccurate for where it was somehow relocated to. GZ can and should be accessed safely.

I passed by this cache on way back from climbing to the top for the Punchbowl earthcache.
I searched the area of GZ and then searched the area indicated by the hint, to find a bottle there, but no cache, so then scrambled up the top of the boulders to check there, no cache either.
About to call it a day but then read other logs, and followed the advice of a previous finder, bushbashed further down hill about 15m passed GZ and found the cache just tucked under a large log. It is possible that a muggle may have moved it - maybe the owner of the bottle between the boulders?
The cache location needs checking by the CO.
Thanks for the cache Ryan00.

I do not understand why people create caches and then do not give accurate coordinates. Perhaps the GZ was accurate initially, but the cache is now at least 20 meters away judging on comments. This is not safe, the area is off track, rocky terrain, and littered with broken bottles. This cache has already been marked as needing maintenance, yet nothing has happened.
I enjoy having to think about it and really search for a cache, but lack of maintenance and inaccurate coordinates are not only against the rules, but the spirit of the game.

DNF for this one, on our second last day in Tasmania. Spent looking for about half an hour, covering about 15 meter radiius from GZ. Only found a dring bottle with a hole and no log and a pair of scissors. Ryan00.

We're currently staying in Launceston over the Australia Day long weekend (we're from Hobart), taking some time for a leisurely holiday with a bit of geocaching thrown in here and there.
Today, our travels took us to two beautiful spots: the wonderful Punchbowl Reserve, and Carr Villa Flora Reserve (with a quick detour for a mystery cache along the way). In all we found seven traditional caches, one mystery cache, and one EarthCache. We had no DNFs today, but came perilously close a couple of times!
This cache was one of the ones that came very close to being a DNF. We completed the nearby EarthCache "punchbowl" (GC5AV2Y), then set about searching for this cache on our way back to the main reserve. Our GPSr led us straight to an area riddled with potential hiding spots, which took a little while to examine. We got excited for a moment when we found an old canteen wedged in the cliff face, but unfortunately it wasn't the cache.
We noticed that the GPSr was leading us all over the place, presumably due to the tree coverage and adjacent cliff face. Faced with a potential wild goose chase, we resorted to the hint but it didn't really help narrow it down, and previous logs made it pretty clear that the cache was a little distance from the posted coordinates anyway. We did try searching further afield, but a good 20 to 30 minutes of searching didn't produce any leads.
Resigned to the fact that we weren't going to find it (especially given the previous DNF), we started our way downhill towards the main reserve. Rather than taking the path with the Geomum and Geodaughter, the Geodad elected to bush-bash for the first little bit, just on the off-chance of stumbling across the cache. He did in fact spot a likely location a little further downhill, but that turned out to be no good either. Turning to make his way to path, he spotted something out of place from the corner of his eye, which as luck would have it turned out to be the cache!
We got **extremely** lucky with this one. It was a good 15 to 20 metres downhill from where the coordinates suggested it should be, and the place we found it didn't appear to have any relevance to the hint. We literally stumbled across it by accident after we'd already given up looking.
Definitely a frustrating caching experience to begin with, but quite a relief to finally find it in the end. We ended up exploring a bit more of the area than we'd bargained for, but that's probably not a bad thing in and of itself, since it's definitely a beautiful location.

Looked everywhere with the kids. Couldn’t find it unfortunately. GPS was off which made it hard. Difficult terrain
My boys found this one. They enjoyed the steep hike from the playground. Me not so much. Fun one to find thank you
Finally found it! DNFed it before and no wonder, it took ages and the GPS was 15m off!
