Hi bigbenlorax
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

thanks for the cache from newbury park california but didn’t find it. beautiful morning though.
I accidentally already passed the cache on my way up to the falls. Nevertheless I paid better attention on my way back. TFTC!
Visited the nearby hot springs and then headed up the trail to make the find. Quick easy find with a bit of a geo-trail guiding the way. All in good order and recovered a pen that had been dropped nearby. TFTC
We came to the park for a walk and for the Taupo Adventure Lab and why wouldn't we look for this cache too? By we I mean my daughter and I on a short holiday (more like a long weekend but as she works on weekends...). We went too far and found a difficult route to the cache and got blackberried and jumped a fence before reading the hint and working out we were not in the right place at all and had already passed right by GZ. Much easier way out! Thanks for placing bigbenlorax!
4 reasons for being here today. One was curiosity as we were intrigued by the listing. The other 3 were this cache plus the Ad Lab and earthcache. No problem to find the cache when we walked a bit of a track we had intended to walk more of until time just seemed to escape.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We needed to find a cache today for the 2022 World Record and we were also keen to walk to Huka Falls from Spa Park so this cache was perfectly placed.
The forecast today was for rain all morning but that turned out to be completely wrong as it was sunny as we headed off along the trail.
We weren’t sure what to expect with this one but after waiting for couple of muggles to pass we were pleased to spot the cache quickly and retrieved it without the need for any fence climbing and without being thwarted by the blackberries.
Now that we had contributed to the world record it was time to head off to look at the falls.
Thanks for a great cache in a great location.

A lovely little walk out here with the geohounds. No muggles to bother us on our early morning start. Tftc
First time in this area and it won’t be the last. Came here to do caching and jogging and so glad I did. Easily found in a peaceful spot. TFTC.
Thank you for this cache, bigbenlorax.
I was passing through Taupo and walked over this way to gather info for the nearby Earthcache; it would have been rude not to continue on to this cache!

Rainy day made for a quiet walk from Spa Park to Huka Falls. Easy find here without the need to scale any fences. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at Taupo … decided to go for a walk today … took the Spa Park to Huka Falls track, there & back … picked this one along the way … easy find … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,704 for us.
After doing the nearby Earth cache, I headed over to look for this cache. Nice quick find here, grabbed the TB, cheers
In the area for the Easter break and finding caches as we tour around. Busy area today around the hot pool area but only a few walking beyond so we managed to slip in unnoticed to make the find TFTC.
Found it. Hint is a bit misleading but I can see why they would say corner post. No need to climb the fence.
From Auckland
Dankie/TFTC.

Beautiful view of the river. I spotted 8 tubes and inflatable boats on the river when I emerged back onto the path. I suppose they know where it is safe to get out of the water. They can be seen in the water to the left of my photo.
This was the second full day exploring Taupo with the kids.
We planned on getting to spa park earlier but we got busy exploring and it become a quick trip after dinner.
It was good to see the development that has happened here. It has been approximately 10years since I last visited this spot and it was nice to see the change, and care that has gone into this area

Was looking in the wrong place but re-read the clue and found it straight away
Not sure if I really found this one on my 6 weeks long holiday. Fence, thorns, rubbish ...
A nice quick find thanks. I parked up the bike and wandered on the pedestrian only track.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. A lovely sunny day in Taupo today. I biked the Huka falls loop track up to SH 1 and back. I'm a bit tired after that.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Awaiting the arrival of the time for our rendezvous with the PetBus, we decided to grab a couple of caches. This was a quick find for Mrs Geckoh, who obviously entered from the right part of the track, whereas Mr Geckoh took the exceptionally hard route only to find Mrs Geckoh signing the log by the time he had finished tightly his way through the undergrowth. TFTC

After a dip in the pools, Mini McArgister and I left Mrs and Micro sitting in the sun to pop over and grab this. I lifted Mini over the fence then scrambled over myself but then realised that there wasn’t any need so we hopped back over and grabbed the cache. Thanks for the spa-riffic cache!
Pretty easy find this afternoon, but master 13 did get tangled in the blackberry (we did warn him!). We visited Huka Falls today, it wasn’t our first visit, but our first via the walk via Spa Rd. Lovely walk with our two kids in the school holidays while visiting Taupo. Unfortunately there was no pen and ours went walk-about on our walk (can I blame it on the kids??). Have posted photo of our find, hope that is ok?
Didn't need to climb the fence but a few brambles defended the cache. Quick find in good condition. TFTC.
It was rather cold at this time of day when I arrived in the car park so I headed off alone and mrs c stayed in the car. A nice wee walkway and I think there's been some work down near the spa to help visitors get into the water (if they want). After getting the details for the Earthcache I headed here and soon had the cache in hand. T F T C bigbenlorax.
The weekend is here and for a change I've got a four-dayer planned with a trip across from Taupo to Napier to have a couple of nights in Havelock North and local area, followed by a trip back across the Napier-Taihape Road to stay at our daughters for a day before watching the football on Monday and then Coming Home, he's coming home, capperz is coming home (football didn't as it turned out! Well done to Italy.
A few nice caches found, not huge numbers so quality rather than quantity. A few more of the PWGT caches as well as some others here and there, thanks to all COs.

I was in town for the weekend and focused on some of the caches at Spa Park. When I last visited these pools in consisted of a small footbridge over the stream. Now it's virtually unrecognisable! Nice quick find here - TFTC
Lovely walk to the cache location. Haven't been here for many years, so was great to see the little kiosk and the changing rooms and platform. The cache itself had been "rolled" quite a distance away from the hint object and so using a stick and arms length through the fence managed to retrieve it (dodging the prickly plants all around). Signed the log and replaced at the hint location. Thanks for the cache. Did with Mycro Man and Ezratar.
Out discovering this great little spot of free activities in Taupo. Magic place and cool to see people coming down the river on all sorts of floaties. First geocache for Team CERO. They might be hooked.
Perfect fit for me and my companion. Wrestled the blackberries and got it. Great hide. Rewarded self with the best iced coffee I've had in ages. What an awesome spot. Happy 40th to me.
Yes mi d the blackberry! Found a natural to to help with this one and extract the cache without needing to get too intertwined
Lots of blackberries here, and generally other prickly stuff. Got low and reached in and could JUST get the cache. Could just replace as well. TFTC bigbenlorax, all good here.

Beautiful spot!! Soaked my weary feet, absolute bliss!

got a wee bit torn up on this as the new growth of blackberries had all but covered the cache just managed to get it and sign thanks goodness there was a coffee kart down at the spa so I could nurse my wounds with a good coffee Thanks bigbenlorax TFTC
We found it. But couldn't get near it, tried and got scratched to pieces. Hopefully cache owner is happy with photos to log my find. Tftc
Maybe my GPS is off but nothing like the description at gz. Over 100m away. Did find an abandoned bike in the trees if you want one.
An interesting little park on the banks of the Waikato. Busy at the warm steam but nice and quiet at GZ. Not wearing the best of clothes to negotiate a rose bush and some blackberry but I got there relatively unscathed.

Went for a walk after dunking our feet. Kids went in while I stood outside trying to look casually at the view. Haha.
A flying visit to Taupo and was lucky to be able to grab this one and have a quick walk at the same time. TFTC
Easy find but hard to get to. Not prepared in my flip flops. Thanks for the cache!
After a bath in the pools I visited the cache. It was not so easy to get to the box, but I got it.

Yesterday we're biked through here and got the earth cache. Today we've biked back with togs for a soak in the pools. While the family were soaking I wandered down the path to find this cache. Yes I had to negotiate the fence and a bit of blackberry at Gz. And cos we were swimming I forgot a pen - Duh sho took pic of log instead. Cache found easily and in good condition. I like the multiple bagging method. TFTC
Found with MrsC on our NZ travels. Quick find, Cache not in correct place, returned it to correct location
Straight to this one although had to bend to avoid trees. Nice to get into shade! Next stop ... springs tftc from uk
Found by geoson and I while on a pleasant stroll to Huka Falls. Lots of muggles around today. Tftc. MattieH from Tassie
The blackberries are now trampled down by me, and many of their thorns remained with me in my clothing upon my departure so now would be a very good time to go looking for this cache. TFTC.
A quick find by junior cacher today on our walk from Huka Falls. No problems with blackberry thorns here. Half the team enjoyed a swim afterwards, the swimming area has changed a lot since I was here last. Tftc and Merry Christmas!
After being attacked by the nearby trees and brambles, it was an easy find which fortunately doesn't require you to jump over the fence!

From Holland, we are on holiday in New Zealand. First we visited the south Island. Now we are back from a walk to the Falls on this north Island. Thank you very much for the cache.
We are planning weekend trips almost every month. And this time the destination was Lake Taupo. Booked a Bach with a view on the Waikato River. On Saturday we visited the Crators of the Moon and the Huka falls. Both amazing places beautiful to watch!
This cache was found on our way to the falls. Easy to find.
Thanks for the cache.
