We are in Stanthorpe for a few days enjoying finding the caches in this series that we have previously solved and this is one we found. Parked at the park and had a lovely walk along the creek to GZ. All good here, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Stan Thorpe for the puzzle and the cache.
What would Cachers do in a world without trees and rocks?? I was a bit concerned by a couple of DNFs but I found it!! The container was certainly blending into the landscape, so I did a bit of cleaning. Log ok but a bit damp. TFTC!!
Out at Stanthorpe celebrating our anniversary. Teamed up with ILTW and Legend GTGT to find some caches. Unfortunately no success with this one.
Enjoying a weekend in Stanthorpe with legend and out looking for a few caches while we are here. Found some new geocaching friends, snigglepops.4 of us searching with no luck.
Lovely walk along the creek. Best to park in park and walk. Highway is dangerous. TFTC
We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. I thought that we had found a lovely, clear way through to GZ as we walked along beside the lovely creek. But then, a couple hundred metres in, we were greeted by long grass. There were feint vehicle tracks through the grass so we push through along those and got there eventually. Of course I started my search on the wrong side of GZ so Mr DisSister was the first to put their hand on the cache here. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
This weekend, an overnighter at Girraween National Park was planned with the aim to tackle Mount Norman. An early start on Saturday had me attend Warwick parkrun and visit Warwick, Leslie Dam, Stanthorpe, and then Girraweeen to walk to Underground Creek. On Sunday, it was a walk/hike through Girraween's south vicinity visiting Mount Norman, Castle Rock, and Turtle Rock, before venturing across the NSW border, and then heading northwards via Ballandean and Stanthorpe, detouring past the *Elementary* series and *Stan's Apple* series.
Today, I joined Beardman75, Davinells, and wayn0, and we spent the morning with a hike in the southern vicinity of Girraween National Park. A tough expedition to Mount Norman's geocache, and after taking a breather with the group and then saying farewell, I continued north via Castle Rock, The Sphinx, and Turtle Rock, thanking the car shuffle for only making my journey a one-way walk. It was then a southern drive towards Tenterfield for a few geocaches, before proceeding back north targeting geocaches with high Favourite Points, in particular the cluster around Fletcher. It was then a detour towards the *Elementary* series, and lastly, I took a few more stops west of Stanthorpe finding a few more of *Stan's Apple* geoart, and completing the [Stanthorpe Art and History](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/99df815e-d7c7-4bde-8575-b2c5ff71d8cc) Adventure Lab, before fatigue and daylight got the better of me, and I proceeded home.
I wasn't sure how to best approach this location, and I am not even sure if my route was the easiest/best, but it got me there. It was quite boggy along some of the tracks, but otherwise no other issues. Once at GZ, the cache was a reasonably quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Stan Thorpe aka Net88 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Pajamateam accompanied me on the walk to this cache. I was concerned about the best way to go, got there in the end.

Have been spending the last month doing all the puzzles for the infamous Stanthorpe Apple and spend the Christmas holidays slowly finding all the caches while on a mini road trip with Greatgod86. TFTC
Found this with graceygirl1234 while in the region. Previous logs helped to narrow down GZ for these caches. TFTC
Found after a Doctor Livingstone style epic trek through the wilds of Stanthorpe jungle. A rather circuitous route but we got there in the end thankfully and an easy find of the cache. We needed the GPS track to find our way back to the car. I did like the puzzle, Nett88. TFTC.
Tried to take yhos last night from a different direction but the terrain vegetation didn't make me keen. Today we had a different angle and while it initially looked a lot easier it soon degenerated into chest hight grass. For a change I was dressed appropriately so forged ahead, I always seeming to see the trail I was following (roo or animal rather than geo) was off to the left rather than directly ahead . The I got to gz but snarly overshot it due to preconceived notions of where I thought it was. Ultimately disappointed to find this type of container after such an effort but a smiley is a smiley and I'll take it for sure. ️
Tftc Stan, made the find here after setting up camp at the Stanthorpe showground where we will stay for a few nights.

I solved the Stanthorpe Apple many years ago and CaptainVimes and I are finally getting around to finding them. I searched at my coords for a few minutes before reading the last log and realising I was in the wrong spot. After wading through the long grass and spiky vines, I made a quick find but had to replace the log. Thanks for the cache
I had to go to Stanthorpe, so I thought I might grab this blue spot that has been on my partial completed apple. I have been here a few times but looking at the original site, did the checker again and realised I must of changed he waypoint a few months ago and could see by the satellite that the new waypoint was near the previous search area. So I went to the new site scratched around like a scrub turkey removing recent flood debris and there it was. Thanks for this part of the apple.
I visited this area almost 2 years ago, took quite a few bites out of the apple and came back today to finish the series, thanks for the puzzle series and

Out and about Stanthorpe and around Stanthorpe district while visiting from Brisbane for a few days. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches in these locations. Really enjoyed the time travelling around the countryside and town. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
I hadn’t noticed this puzzle during my last visit to Stanthorpe. It was easy to work out and I noticed the new offset. Coordinates spot on and so I found the cache straight away. Unfortunately there is a broken glass bottle right next to it. Tftc
We solved every challenge along the way but didn’t come across our prize unfortunately.
This was not the original plan for today, we were supposed to be taking a walk along the BVRT but we changed plans last minute due to Covid and we're glad we did as they are now all in lockdown! So headed south we did to pick some apples and a few more that took our fancy. A beautiful day spent in the Stanthorpe area. Parked the car a few hundred meters away and took a stroll down to GZ, quick find once there. Tftc
Well this one turned out to be much harder than we anticipated. As for solving the puzzle, we had a lot of help from a friend. Once we had got the go ahead from the GZ checker we headed out and saw a likely spot. We clambered around up, over, underneath and ducking around. I thin wek must have spent just as long removing the cobblers pegs from our clothes as we did in the actual hunt. In the end we were still coming up empty-handed so Mr Herbz did a PAF. It turns out the cache was there but not where we were expecting it but some 40m away. At least we can now turn this slice of Apple into a smiley. TFTC

Fangsoki and I had tried to escape last weekend for a last minute overnighter in Stanthorpe. But there was absolutely zero accommodation available. So we decided to hold off.
Then we decided to come this weekend. But there was still no accommodation. The only thing we could find for miles around was one motel in Tenterfield (which was also the only location last weekend too).
Well we decided to bite the bullet and take it. Why not?
We had a few particular reasons for heading out this way - some apple maintenance, some apple collecting and some other caches of particular interest to either collect or assist in maintaining.
After a chilly and wet afternoon/evening yesterday, we began our morning with frost on the plants but somehow not feeling quite as cold as we had been the previous day.
Fruit salad, yummy yummy. Fruit salad, yummy yummy.
Not sure exactly why I didn’t get this one last time we were here, but it did remain a hole in my apple. So today that needed fixing.
We went down to this one with permission from the CO to replace if necessary, but arriving at GZ we found the cache immediately, as per previous maintenance run log.
Thanks for the cache Net88.

I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.
A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.
In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.
Finally arrived into town and set up camp for the night and some lunch and then back out to start the apple series and a few as we passed by. All good with most caches and no worms have gotten into the apple.

I was invited to join Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007 for an epic Geocaching adventure on the Granite Belt and surrounding areas. Our morning started bright an early at Warwick (For some good ole caffeine goodness) and slowly but surely we made our way south towards Stanthorpe while grabbing MANY caches on the way.
The main goal for the weekend was to complete the Stanthorpe GeoArt and sign a couple of the challenge caches. We had a wonderful yet tiring day, we did plenty of driving and visited several locations I haven't been to before
Thank you to each and every CO for places caches at these location. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a blast. We'll certainly enjoy our sleep tonight.

After meeting Willis007 and Chamad at a previous event over New Years, they invited me to join them on an epic geoart mission at Stanthorpe. After weeks of puzzling and planning, today was the day (together with Nayfee). We covered a lot of mileage, had a lot of laughs and learnt a lot along the way.
Between Warwick and Stanthorpe there are a LOT of caches to sign and we did a pretty good job of getting every single one we could - signed as Twocan to save 25 seconds of signing at each cache, as we had work to do!
For some reason we had quite a few issues with the co-ordinates for gz with all 4 of us posing something different. After checking and rechecking, discussing and rediscussing, we finally had a gz we agreed on and the log was quickly signed.

Heading out to Stanthorpe this weekend to grab some of the wonderful caches on offer out here. Our group of Triple Turmoil, CHAMAD and NayFee signed logs as team TWOCAN.
Some of the puzzles were easy to see, others took a bit of extra brain power and collaboration with the team.
An easy find at gz today.

Found this while on a maintenance run and visit to my Mum, This is now in good order after a freshen up. The area has had a small amount of rain but really needs a lot more. Thanks for the challenge and the hide
Had solved the puzzle for this one and decided to have a bit of a look today, after a little drive to Stanthorpe. Spent a fair bit of time searching for this one, however no luck for me today!
Out caching with friends No_Tomorrow and Seemyshell. We've been working on these puzzles for a while. The answer to this one hit us like the apple hit Newton, so we knew where we were going.
At GZ we found a couple of logical places - but all empty. The three of us expanded our radius into different territories - some leaving our legs scratched, but still nothing. At one stage we thought we found something - but it was just the cache of a junkie and their paraphernalia. Bloody germs.
We didn't finish the Stanthorpe Apple, so will keep an eye on this and will keep it on the to-do list.

Checked the two very obvious places got a perfect GZ at one of those places still absolutely no luck even after using four-wheel-drive to get down to GZ
I believe the cache is gone. Checking with owner. Had scratched my head for quite some time on this puzzle, went through comments and then slapped my head it was so obvious what the answer would be checker confirmed
Bit of a shame.
We had a DNF on the bookends of the Apples...took me over 3 years to get back here so I guess there is until 2021 to replace it.

Lots of thorny vines hidden in the grass as I walked to collect this... or the puncture marks in my legs are from a friendly snake! Cache found readily once I passed these obstacles. TFTC!
Liked this puzzle. Very Stanthorpe themed.
Solved without any trouble. Wasn’t sure how to approach this cache but parked on a side road and managed to assess this without getting wet even though it had been raining a lot yesterday.
Quick find at GZ.

Today we are spending some time in Stanthorpe to find a few caches. This cache was found quickly but in a spot much higher than a T2.5, it seemed a muggle had tried to make it unattainable. We were able to retrieve it using a TOTT and replace it in a spot more suitable.
Thanks for the cache

As we worked on this puzzle, we had to be very careful not to make a silly transcription error. After a short period we had a set of confirmed coordinates. This was another cache where we resorted to Google Earth to find access. Today we used this route and despite some rather wet and muddy errors, we got to GZ where we were able to make a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Stan Thorpe for the puzzle and cache.
Another puzzle we had solved before our decent on Stanthorpe. We are a bit late, and by that I mean a long time after the mega event but we are enjoying now. Another find at the crack of dawn.
Wonder if those kids are starting to wake up yet, probably not haven't had a phone call from anyone.

After attending a family gathering in Armidale over Easter when MEGA was on, we managed to spend 3 hours there but didn't get to solve or even look at any of the puzzles for Stan's Apple series.
Our planned 6 day holiday camping at Girraween allowed us a day to collect most of Stan's Apples after solving them in the ensuing months since MEGA.
Last one for the series after our epic day yesterday. Had checked where this one was yesterday and our plan of attack was to park near treatment plant and walk in along the highway. Cache found easily. Logbook signed and cache returned to its hide. Unfortunately no blackberries on the vine yet and care needed walking amongst them..

On a truly wet and miserable weekend. I was attempting the 25 unique D&T challenge whilst in town this weekend but the weather soon put a stop to that plan. This was my last one of the day, mainly because the GZ was flooded out and crossing the grass from where we choose to park I stepped into a ginormous puddle.
At first the puzzle confused me but a second look later on and I had it solved.

We found a similar hide on our way to Stanthorpe for the weekend so I had a look in this spot and soon come up with the fruity goods. TFTC
Mitchie’s birthday wish brought us to Stanthorpe this weekend. I couldn’t help having a crack at some puzzles on the off chance that I might get some time to collect some between the trails. We hit the trails so hard on Saturday the girls agreed to a more relaxed stroll around town to collect the puzzles on Sunday morning. We gave ourselves until 10am to get as many as we could as we ended up with 22 by 10.03am!
Puzzle: This was a clever little puzzle and a quick solve after acing my Stanthorpe mystery quiz. Thanks
Cache: H'Way was nice and quiet this early so we didn't have any issues there. The other two of the triple threat team found this one while I was looking elsewhere. Clever hide.

Having not been able to get to the mega we had been working on the art work puzzles knowing we would at some stage come pass though again. So when the opportunity arose we packed the caching kit and headed over for a solid session. A variety of hides, puzzles and terrains. Out the north end of town we came across numerous Roos and rabbits and thankfully not too many muggles. Good to complete this series. TFTC.
I came down to Stanthorpe to grab the final to some challenges we've completed, grab some others if they were on the route and get as many of the Stan's Apple series as possible. I wasn't completely successful but one was definitely not there to find, 2 I was not fully equipped for and 2 I just couldn't find and ran out of time!!!
Geo Wife sent me off with her blessing as she thought she would slow me down.
Finally a puzzle that didn't make me lose more hair, I quite enjoyed it!!
I don't know if I approached GZ from the best direction but I was soon there!
It didn't take too long and I had the prize in hand, it should keep quite dry here!!

TFTC. Day 3 of the long weekend cache challenge after heading just over the border, we are on our way back North after a few sidelines.
Another find on a long-solved puzzle, one I remember fondly as not causing me any frustration . Parking nearby, we followed a track to GZ where the hiding place was obvious but the cache container a bit sad. Fangsoki had a spare so we switched containers; the old one is on the way back to the CO. Some nice flora in the area, and Fangsoki took the hard way back to the car just for fun while Dosshell and I returned the original path. TFTC, Stan Thorpe. =^.^=
Thanks to Fangsoki for fixing this one up for me, it is currently in perfect condition.. let's try to keep it that way
I was in the area with La Kedi and Dosshell doing some maintenance when we had been asked to drop in to this one to a bit of cache maintenance.
I had had very litte time to do any caching while the Mega itself was running. I'd had this one solved, so we decided to make our way to GZ. I ignored La Kedi's suggestion where to park and parked somewhat closer (not dangerously, mind you). I grabbed a replacement cache and we ambled toward GZ.
Thankfully, we found the cache after a small hunt. As previously reported, it was a wet affair. I replaced it with a new 200ml sistema, logbook and pencil. We collected the old container.
Of course, we signed the new container and hid it as the old one was found. A fun and apt little puzzle - and a interesting area to visit. TFTC Nettles88

1914 - One of the main aims of this short get away to Stanthorpe was to grab a few of the puzzle caches I had solved in the Stan's Apple series and this was the second puzzle I stopped to grab this afternoon. I headed straight for the spot and quickly found where the cache was hiding at 4:49pm. Unfortunately the container had heaps of water in it and the log book was drenched. I tipped the water out and made a scrawl in the log book. I have no idea how the container could have let so much water in, in this location. The lid appeared to be on securely. Anyway I am logging this a week after the find and I can now see that some maintenance was performed on the cache yesterday and all is well here now. Thanks for the easy puzzle and for placing this cache here Net88 and for the recent maintenance Fangsoki.
Continuing on our Trek from Melbourne to Queensland and back by roadtrip OzHockeyChick and I are here in Stanthorpe area finding the apples and locals that we bookmarked and solved.
This was quite simple but difficult puzzle all in one.
The find was the same some what....

My local geocaching guardian checked on this one, again, and this time removed the second container. Fingers crossed the one in place doesn't go missing again.
Fergclan also solved this one and it was our second bite of the apple, nice area and nice walk, noticed the log sheet was new, then after signed walked down to the water and found the old container down at the water edge,so placed it back with the other, and now there is two.Two is beter than none,right.TFTC.Net88.
I was lucky enough to have a lovely local geocacher replace this one for me today. It is ready to be found again.
Well this was a bit of a downer. We came here after a DNF at Apple #9 and copped yet another DNF. We found clear evidence of a hide matching the hint; well, a rock where no rock would naturally be. Surely you're not being targetted Net88? Nice puzzle & walk though.
I'd looked at a few of these for some of the tourists a few months back and had a chance to grab a couple on the way through today. This was convenient located for travellers like us. Thanks Net88.
After spending the previous couple of weeks solving apples, it was time to head to Stanthorpe in the hope of now turning them in smiles.

area dried out today to allow access. found quickly once at gz. thanks for the puzzle which was fun to solve. but this is likely to be the last bite of the apple for us , we have been scratching our heads and having more bites at google than apples. to no avail. the remainder look like being beyond our ability to solve.

Hooray !! An easy puzzle
This morning I thought I should get a shuffle on and go and claim the prize
Off I wandered through the mud and sloshiness after the rains
I got there with dry feet and enjoyed a quick cache find in a dry place [^]

Well we really found the long way into this cache. Deciding not to venture in off the highway we decided to park and go for a pleasant stroll, which involved weeds, holes and a variety of debris. At GZ I managed to spot the cache in the obvious place and made quick work of the log signing. Then headed back on a much simpler route, as you do.
Got back to the car and bumped into Konie who watched it all from his car!
Day 2 of the return trip to Stanthorpe to collect the caches we couldn't find during the Mega weekend, due to lack of rain and too much rain, and to see off Team Robins on their epic adventure around Australia. Today the plan was to collect Stan's apples and a few other caches before heading off to Team Robins for an event to see them off on their adventure.
Thanks Net88 for the cache.

Ghostgums and I couldn't find an easy approach to GZ for this one, so we headed bush from near the parking spot for another nearby cache. We challenged the terrain rating and Ghostgums copped a bashed knee from slipping into a rabbit hole...
At GZ though, the cache was spotted quickly and business was sorted. All done, we tackled the terrain back to the car.
Cheers Net88.

When the Mega Event was on over Easter we spent the majority of our time socialising, and very little time 'caching. So we have returned to attempt some of the caches that we missed out on.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

Out and about in the Stanthorpe area for a few days so I headed out to grab a few caches. There were puzzles from the MEGA and a power trail or two, thanks to all CO's for placing them. I managed to find a variety of caches in some very interesting locations, this was one of them.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Picking apples with Dawesy321 tonight. A brief dinner break and then this one was in the bag.
Over the weekend I visited this cache to replace the logbook and container after the QLD Mega. The area has obvious geotrails after the large influx of finds over the event however these will become less obvious as time passes. Thank you to everyone who took care when finding this cache.
Found while attending the Mega. Most of the campers have gone but there are still a few of around.
Today we intend to finish off the apple and the elementary series. Can't leave them unfound after all that puzzle solving.

We were very thankful there were at least a few easy puzzles to solve in the Stan's Apple geo-art series ... just as well because we needed all the time we could get to solve some of the others. A quick google search soon gave us the numbers we needed and ground zero was easy enough to locate. Thank you for having placed the cache Net88
Found at 9:47:00 AM, GAFF1, Found with Geoson on our last morning in Stanthorpe completing the last missed caches before heading south.

Very proud of myself as I'm not too hot when it comes to puzzles but I solved quite a few (17), and wished I had started earlier. Ws given a gentle push with a few and came across a couple by accident. Well, when you see people standing in a group looking very suspicious and you don't have anything on your map, it would be downright criminal to not check it out in case you need to report the illegal activity to the authorities. Teamed up with Goldielover and Stairman1 for the day and what a great day it was.
Drove by this one a couple of times looking for a spot to park. Once sorted I soon was on track and had the log signed. Thanks Net88.

We were keen to grab a few last Apples on the way out of town, so returned to a familiar spot to access this one. It meant a higher terrain approach but no worries there. Thanks for another attractive and fun puzzle! All good with container and new log.
