Kyms Adventure and I are on a WA campervan trip working holiday and nabbing some caches on the way Cache Note: great spot for a view and the Hilditch sculptures are awesome Cache Condition: log book out in the open at the top of the path placed back inside where it might have gone. Might pay to change this to a small magnetic with a much smaller log book! This is cache number:49217:00TFTC!!!
Bike riding around Newman and taking in the sites - the cache book was just laying on the ground in the open. Signed the book and placed it out of the weather - may not be original co-ords...
Been wanting to come up here for years but weve always been time poor except for today.Would be lovely here for a sunset but we had other plans for that time of day so came here after my extended coffee event in town.We found a large container in the statue with paper and a large booklet with Geocach written on it but we knew it wasnt the cache so Mr dimor went one way and I the other, he found the small container easily.TFTCThe previous finder thought the large container was it and signed the paper inside that
Ran the hillChecked the. OreGot down and then discovered there was a cache up there So back we go!Tftc
TFTCThank goodness this was an easy find..... my legs could not have taken any more....oh, well, down we go now.
Took the geopups out today for a walk up to Stan and Ella, what a beautiful spot to watch the sunset, happy to say we came up trumps and walked away with a smiley TFTC Kyzabra
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. After camping south of Newman last night, we continued to make our way north finding caches of interest along the way. This was a nice quick find here. Thanks Kyzabra for the cache.
Found with e.gregory1 as we made our way along the Great Northern Highway on a trip from Adelaide to north-western WA. After camping out about 20 km south, we spent the morning around Newman before heading northwards. Thanks for the cache Kyzabra!
Found in the obvious spot----------------------Decided to do a long road trip, flying in from Canberra, starting and finishing the drive in Port Hedland. It was a long day of flights, followed by 7 days of lots of kilometres. I stopped at every 'point of interest' along the way, I wanted to miss nothing! Earthcaches, Virtuals & AL's are always very good waypoints for interesting things as well. Every night I downloaded a bunch of podcasts and these made the kilometres fall away. This was the first outback road trip I have done where I saw more emu's than kangaroos. The wild camels walking in the desert were also very cool to see. My trusty swag served me very well.
Lovely view on our way back to Newman from Karijini - we added a sticker - no pen so dont sign. All in good order thank you
Found on our trip across 3 states - WA, NT & Qld for a few mths. Thnx. Great views from up here. We came to do the Adventure Lab, so didn't anticipate doing a cache....so no pen. If the next person can log Pete & Kate for us, that'd be awesome. We attached a pic as proof we were here!
Impressive! Arrived late this arvo and jumped on trusty treadles to start exploring Newman so this was the last stop as the sun was setting. Initially went too low then reassessed to find in a logical spot. TFTC !
Wasn't there. Watch out for the local butcherbird up there if you have glasses on your head. She/he will swoop ya!!
We travelled von Karijini to Newman. On the way we are able to find some caches. This was one of them. Thank you for the Cache.
Arrived into Newman with axell33 making our way to Broome. We got an early start on the road so we missed both sunset and sunrise. Enjoyed the views at the top and put a smilie up here. We haven’t rushed to get them all at once as we have a few more trips to do in the future so we have paced ourselves. Thank you for placing this cache here.
Caching our way to Broome, we arrived in Newman around 8am but unfortunately only had time for one more Newman cache this time. So we decided on this one and enjoyed the early morning walk. Once at gz we made a nice quick find and soon had our names added to your log. We returned your back to where it hides. TFTC Kyzabra.
Great find! My daughter spotted it. Last minute caching before heading to the airport. Very much appreciated.
Beautiful spot to get a nice view over Newman. Bit of history added to the adventure. Thanks Kyzabra for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Travelling up north and today I've been caching in Newman. I was searching for this a bit until I realised to come closer to the fence, tftc!
Very good spot, found a few good spots and we were so sure we had it but finally after a bit of sluething we found it. Last one in town found, time to move onto the next town.
Hint for those who got a bit stuck like us. Not the beautiful rock, but near by. Happy hunting .

A good little cache that was a little difficult to find, but good fun none the less. Thanks for the hunt .

Found with kiwinic on our annual northern holiday, a stop off in Newman today for a bite to eat and grab a couple of smilies around the area. TFTC
Nice hiding place, found today following a previous unsuccessful attempt. No pen so have attached a photo of the log.
We are spending a few weeks travelling to some of Western Australia's warmer regions and grabbing a couple of the LGAs that I need.
We were staying at the new caravan park and took a walk up here in the afternoon.
A bit wary of where the cache ended up but I was searching closer to the edge at one stage.
After the find it was a walk to the pub
This was find number 1 for the day.

On our last trip while staying in WA and the last stop before heading to Perth and flying home. Another great little find in a unique part of the country. Thanks for the smiley and the great view.
Apologies for the late logging.

Wandered up here this arvo and admired the iron work.
The cache was a metre from the handrail.

We arrived here a day early so I had some spare time to look for some geo’s this afternoon. This geo is rather fitting as Whaleback is where I’m dropping off in the morning. This was found without too much fuss after a quick check down below to make sure no one was looking. TFTC
Thanks for showing me this place which is new since we last travelled this road. Probably would have sailed on by if I wasn’t searching for a cache. Cache is in good condition. TFTC
Great little lookout and a quick Fi d cache, stinking hot up here. Thanks Kyzabra
Found it! Phone compass way off. Maybe all the iron? Cool statues.
Thanks for the cache. Peace out
Thanks for the cache. Peace out
Before leaving Newman, Team Crackers and I called into this lookout for some photos of the statue and for me to grab the cache. As Stan and Ella Hilditch were the discoverers of the ore on Mt Whaleback, I was wondering why the town of Newman wasn't named Hillditch.
A quick find once I had ascended to the lookout, thanks Kyzabra for placing this cache.

Co-ords on my phone didn't match. I just had to think logically and found the cache easily. Tftc
My last cache to find In Newman . Shortie27 and Thegrimreaper22 dropped me off at the airport after finding the cache. So a nice extended weekend for me catching up with family. Tftc loved the view
Another great spot to views a the surrounds of Newman. Sussex our the likely location and waited for muggles to move off before recording our visit. Thanks Kyzabra
Hiding in plain sight. Took a while to figure it out. The compass/GPS is about 7 meters off.
We noticed these lovely sculptures as soon as we arrived in
to Newman. It was a nice surprise to find that there was a
cache there as well. A nice tribute to Stan & Ella Hilditch.
It is a pity that someone doesn't paint the spray painter.
Thanks heaps Kyzabra

Found on a road trip with Team Outnabout taking in the Meeka races and places of interest along the way from Geraldton to Newman. TFTC
A warm walk to the top but an easy find. Thanks Kyzabra. The sculptor was more skilled than the spray painter.
Realising the GPS coords were 7m out, made this much easier to find. Great views. Tftc
pug002 found it on 11/8/2018 on our trip north. Todays logs we have been putting 10th, we have lost a day somewhere Nice easy find at last TFTC Kyzabra
Came up here not intending to cache so had to go all the way back down for a pen
On a big round trip, heading up to my sisters in Newman and then across to Karajini Np, Tom Price and then to my Dad's in Carnarvon, to Shark bay and Monkey Mia, to Gerardton and back though Perth to Mandurah. Tftc.
One of the kinder walks around Newman. And at the top a eye catching sculpture of Stan and Ella Hilditch. Interesting to see that the sculpture has been earthed. Guess it would make a perfect lightning conductor.
Thanks, a quick find here and we got to check out the race track and the jet ski course which Mr Beetle wanted to see during our short time here. Unfortunately there was no water in it though.

Well the GZ took us well and truly down further than needed! SL mini cacher did well to find this one!
Began the search a little lower down the hill that we should have. Made a quick find once in the right area. TFTH SL cheers
We arrived in Newman a bit late, do attempted this in the dark. Still a red glow of sunset. First we tried too far down the slope, then came up with the goods. Tftc.a favourite I think.
A good walk up here and a nice little find at the top! Great views and amazing statues! TFTC
A nice mornings walk today, quick find before it gets to hot. The swimming pool down at the FMG block looks inviting!
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
Woo Hoo My 3000th cache find.
After grabbing some brekkie in Newman we headed back to grab this one. Really pleased to make this one my 3000th.
I have travelled on some great journeys and made some great friend playing this game. I am very pleased to have geoson Xpert_Cach3r with me on this epic trip
After a lot of planning, geoson Xpert_Cacher and I are off on a camping road trip up north. 8 days of driving, exploring, Geocaching and camping in swags. The plan has us travelling nearly 5000km grabbing plenty of caches and crossing off a pile of LGAs.
Day 4 - After doing a bit better than we planned yesterday and making it to Newman, our day started with grabbing a few caches around the mining town. We then headed to Karijini and then onto Tom Price for the night.
