What a perfect day to search for a Geocache or three. The weather was spot on! No wind, no rain, temp was at a cool 19 degrees and I was visiting a place I had never been too before.I was lucky enough to be chauffeured around by Mr Sims_Family who had his eyes on a couple of challenge caches that I'm WAY off from claiming. This was the first cache for the day and was found pretty quickly! All in good condition here . Thanks for the cache.
First in Mt Beckworth on a loverly winters day. Thanks for the cache it is good condition.
Despite being at the main gate, this cache was collected as I left following collecting 4 other caches today. Without using the hint I immediately thought I knew where it was however, I was off. The cache was soon located and log signed and returned. TFTC
I found myself at a loose end this morning mooching around the house wondering which chores i would tackle today. Bored with the possibilities i decided to escape for a while with a spot of caching. That was the perfect idea and brightened my mood instantly. Now where to go? An area i havnt been to before, perhaps with some walking in nature and a good few caches to find. Mt Beckworth looks like an excellent target, lets go! The geopooch and i were quickly in the geomobile and away.
I arrived here without having looked at the area and its caches in any detail so i decided that this was the place to stop and plan my attack. I decided on a route which would take me past most of the caches available to me, then a quick sniff around had the cache in hand and signed. Im ready to venture on.
After i took the attached photo i noticed the bigoted stickers attached. I made sure to peel them off before continuing.

Thought we’d come out to this area for the first time on this beautiful autumn. Cache in excellent condition
Our final find on this mountain on what has been a great day of walking. We started early and have walked many kilometres both up and down and sometimes up-and-down in the same area all over again.
We are really enjoying exploring this part of Victoria on a road trip.
Thanks wozzle68

November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

I spent the bulk of today wandering around Mt Beckworth, getting some exercise ahead of this weekend's Australasian Rogaine Champs near Avoca. Apart from being in cloud, there was very little rain, however it was very wet underfoot. Cache easily found. TFTC.

Beckworth Beckons, what an awesome series of caches. The variety of caches were exciting, and you were not sure what you would come across next. Some of the puzzles were testing, and it turned out we had to leave one behind as we could not solve it in time for our trip. All in all a superb set of caches wozzle68.
Found and signed with dalerious on a Mt Beckworth adventure. dalerious told me about the mount Beckworth challenges and series of caches not long after we met. We were looking forward to the day that would take us to this wonderful place, with it's varied assortment of cache types. It had so many positives. We had a full list, as usual, and I am so proud to say that we ticked off everything on it, and more!
We were staying in Clunes as our base for this long weekend and started our first night here with the Adlabs and their respective bonus caches .
We ended up cleaning out Clunes, all but one trad which we are sure is missing.
Our time in this town, and on Mt Beckworth was memorable . I was so excited searching for an archived cache in a secret cave. It never ceases to amaze me what you can achieve with a little pinch of determination and a whole lot of encouragement from dalerious .
We thank all the CO's for providing and maintaining the caches undertaken here. So grateful to you all .

Found day 3 of a somewhat impromptu solo caching and camping trip to Victoria from Adelaide.
I had planned to spend a week travelling, caching and camping along the Great Ocean Road, but my travelling companion had to postpone it due to other commitments. I was still keen to go away somewhere this week as well, so decided to head to the western part of the state on my own.
I created a bit of a 'menu' of specific caches of interest in the broad area that I might be in before I left home and just pottered along fairly casually, taking in the sights and grabbing what I could along the way.
I wasn't actually planning to visit this area, but I somehow managed to end up here and it was a good place to camp with what looked like some interesting walks and caches to find.
After walking up to the summit and back from Manna Gums this morning, I took a bit of a drive around the park.
Thanks wozzle68 for the cache.

Arrived here today, made a quick find before entering the park
Today I made my way from Adelaide to Ballarat via a few caches and found myself in Mount Beckworth and a few other places, also making it a goal to complete majority of Ballarat geotour.
Odd being back in Victoria after over a year but it’s good to be back.
Thanks for the cache

On a caching and camping trip with day1976, he put together the list of caches, and I worked out we could camp near the Cork Oaks cache so we headed there. We decided to find this cache before finding a spot to camp, as this was on the way and shouldn't be hard!
First cache for the trip, and it took us way too long!!
Day1976 finally found it. Not in any of the bushy spiky plants but that didn't help us, as we looked in all those spots first!!

Ilukaperi and I did a flying visit to Mt Beckworth. One night of camping.
This cache was nabbed before we even set up camp.
Took a while to find, but got there eventually. Not a good way to start the day.

We have decided to head off for a couple of days, with no particular destination in mind. As we stopped for lunch in Clunes, we decided to check out Mt Beckworth as a possible spot to camp for a couple of nights. It certainly helped that there is plenty of caches on offer, and we have solved most of the puzzles. Although the weather conditions were not conducive to accurate GPS, we started well finding this cache, so we resorted to the clue and soon had the cache in hand. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache wozzle68.
TFTC quick find with Algae today and a day exploring the Mount Beckworth area. Nice day to be out and about not too hot and not too cold. A great day with a couple of hikes and driving around the area. First of 19 finds for us today.
A great day with Shumba7 enjoying all the Beckworth Beckons series has to offer. Lots of smiles collected and enjoyed. Thanks Wozzle68 for more fun times.
Day four of the Geo Tour adventure with OHC, GT37, Papi4506. Off to explore Mt Beckworth and surrounds.
After a long drive around the outside to reach the other challenge I was the only one that needed this quick find.
Thanks wozzle68 for the cache.

Traditional Find #2805**
I headed out with Steve on our first caching run since before the second lockdown. Ballarat, Mount Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick were our targets for today.
Some quality time in the bush for me to burn off some of the weight gained during iso.

Finally we are able to get out and about so we headed for Mt.Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick.
I have been to this area a number of times now to try to find them all and after today it was nearly done but there are still 4 remaining, maybe one day.
Not sure why I hadn’t already got this one but we did today.

Day 7 St Arnaud Campground to Mount Beckworth Reserve - Cork Oaks Camp ground
Found after completing the chalenge trail. Just grabbing caches along the route to our camp site.
We left St Arnaud and heading in the general direction of Mount Beckworth Reserve to the puzzle trail. We stopped along the way to get multi's,puzzles and any local coucil areas. This was one of a small number of caches found on route to the reserve. We had to fix a staked tyre before we left, so it was a late start. quick find.
Came over to the 2019 mega in St Arnaud with Mogni. We where joined by jj52, Aussie M and M plus others at different times over the mega weekend. Many caches where found over the course of the 8 day trip. Targeting multi's on the way there and back plus the challenge trail in Mount Beckworth reserve. The creative trails around St Arnaud where the highlight of the trip.

With our usual haphazard methodologies, we initially spent a few minutes closely investigating the wrong prickly bush. The realisation that it wasn't actually dead soon had us casting further afield with a much more positive result. An enjoyable, well-maintained cache to find, Thanks
The first cache to start the day. Weather was looking clear, the caches looking nice and easy, good day ahead!
Found at the start of caching trip to clear out mt beckworth with Pac-Man Jacko83 and Aysen16. Log was completely soaked but managed to make a mark. Tftc
Quick find one using the hint.
The log is very wet and needs to be replaced.

Find #10127
With a Rogaining event happening tomorrow in Daylesford, I decided to make a weekend of it and camp out somewhere nearby. I had been wanting to get back to Beckworth for some time, so decided this was the ideal opportunity, so after ParkRun near home, I packed the car and off I went. The weather while not hot, was looking OK for a walk in the forest.
Drove the wrong way to find the entrance to this part of the park, but finally got it. Log is saturated and needs replacing along with the bag its in.
Many thanks to wozzle68 for the cache. TNLN.

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and MazzyMay. We set out today to have a go at some of the Mount Beckworth caches, this was the first and was quickly found. TFTC
Logged as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and SciFiRulz. We headed out today to enjoy the adventure at Mount Beckworth and were not disappointed. We found all that we searched for in the many different positions, some hard, some easy, some gave us a giggle, some an aha moment but all just so much appreciated. TFTC
We had arrived in this very beautiful area yesterday evening, and by the end of a thoroughly enjoyable late afternoon/early evening geocaching hike we had found 11 of the caches in the area. We then spent last night at Manna Gums campsite. This morning we set off on foot for what our GPS recorded as having been a 7 hour, 13 kilometre geocaching hike, with a total ascent of 585 meters and a total descent of 561 meters. After returning to our waiting hired cache-mobile we then drove on to find the rest of the caches in the area. We then spent a second night at Manna Gums campsite before leaving the Reserve, by which time the Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve had become one of our all time favourite places we have visited in Australia - plus of course we left this geocaching playground with a full house of smilies! - not to mention the thrill of a gorgeous little Echidna who late in the day walked right up to me and then sat down between my feet - I felt so privileged! With our hike now complete we set off by cache-mobile to search for the last of the caches left for us to find in this lovely Scenic Reserve, this being the second of those to search for via this method - the clue of which ensured a speedy find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
TFTC. We had visited this cache last year , only to discover that the original sign had been removed and replaced by a new style. This was the first opportunity we have had since then to revisit. We had a mission today we wanted to get as many of the caches on Mount Beckworth as possible today to get closer to meeting the $00 with a twist challenge. There are also two caches here that will fill in a number on the D/T grid and also a month on the Ausmer challenge. This was the beginning of a long day, at least it was an easy find.
Got an invite to join DazzPete away from the crowds for NY's. I couldn't have found a better place to be as I am not big on the noise etc. and would prefer to spend the time with great company.
This is the first cache that we picked up whilst here. It was a nice quick find. Only hope that the rest are all there to be found.
Thanks for the cache and bringing this area to our attention.

Having just arrived home yesterday evening after an 8 day trip away[|)], today it was time to head to Ballarat as Cybergran V had wanted to a ride to attend wozzle68's 50th birthday celebration.
Harry managed to find a tree branch while reversing and gave himself an injury: the rear window on the canopy shattered [xx(] at the 2nd cache find for the weekend and yet by the time this was discovered at Castlemaine, many kilometres later, nothing had fallen out of the gaping hole! Whew!! [^]
Cardboard and duct tape saved the day/weekend!
After attending the birthday celebration tea leafotwind, Rex and I headed out doing some caches until late in the night then after a good rest thanks to an extra room at leafotwind's accommodation (which was hugely appreciated [:X]), the next day we attended the breakfast event and then (after Cybergran V rejoined us) we headed out to claim some challenge caches accompanied for a short time by both Mrs and Mr Riddell
With the last cache of the 29 cache finds found at 6pm on the 5th, it was time for the drive back to Shepparton, having attended 2 events and only having 1 DNF and 1 Write note on a challenge cache that I do not yet meet.
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]

In the logical spot. Walking poles are useful for more than just walking!
After having attended the second of the birthday events in Ballarat I had planned to tackle some Mt. Beckworth caches. I was joined by locus cache and CybergranV which proved fortuitous both from an energy/motivation standpoint after yesterday's 20km+ of walking as well as a couple of puzzle solves. A great day out. Thanks to either Wozzle68 or McLookers for putting out the caches and drawing me to the area.

I have been wanting to come up here for so long, and today I finally made it, after attending the Sunday brekky with Geocachers Event, in Ballarat, this morning.
My grateful thanks to locus cache for bringing me to Ballarat, and to leafotwind, who chauffeured me up Mt Beckworth.
I spotted this one easily, and appreciated my walking pole here.
The entrance sign also featured in my GA cache published this week entitled Parks Full of Geocaches because, thanks to you and other local Cachers, this park is a treasure trove of delightful hides for us to explore.
Thanks for the cache wozzle68

With a new cache nearby that looked like some fun I had arranged a visit to the area with Ausfox; who had the day of work and Neville_devil who finished at lunch time. I on the other hand had worked all night finishing at 7am. So with only 3 and a half hours sleep we were of to Mt Beckworth.
As we entered the park I couldn't resist a quick stop to find our first cache for the day. A quick and easy find here but I am sure the rest around here will not be so easy on the body.
Thank you wozzle68 for the smiley

I wasn't attending the mega this weekend, so I thought the "Easter Escape" event at Mount Worth sounded like a nice day trip, so I planned to attend, and just see whatever happened thereafter. Nice quick find - visible from some distance away.
Thanks for the cache, wozzle68.

A quick find to start the morning off while making my way to Wozzle68's event at My Beckworth today. Have a big mornings caching before heading to Bendigo for the Easter Lantern parade tonight. Tftc
After the nearby relaxing event Muzza and I set off to gather as many nearby caches as we could signing about another 2 dozen. This one was a welcome change of hide. A quick park and grab here TFTC wozzle68

A beautiful day for a drive, not far from home, yet I've never been here before. Thanks Tazz&Co for bring us here and thanks for the cache
