What a perfect day to search for a Geocache. The weather was spot on! No wind, no rain, temp was at a cool 19 degrees and I was visiting a place I had never been too before.I was lucky enough to be chauffeured by Mr Sims_Family who had his eyes on a couple of challenge caches that I'm WAY off from claiming.Another straight forward hide was had here! This looks like a great spot to set up camp and take it all in.Thanks for the hide.
Donutholes and I planned the day at Mount Beckworth to grab everything we could around the back of the mountain. The weather for the day was magnificent and we had a ball enjoying the wonderful space. The Ginja Ninja made short work of all the trails getting us close with only short walk to most of the caches.Thank you wozzle68 for the series
On blended knee with soggy pant- the cache was retrieved and treasure signed.

I found myself at a loose end this morning mooching around the house wondering which chores i would tackle today. Bored with the possibilities i decided to escape for a while with a spot of caching. That was the perfect idea and brightened my mood instantly. Now where to go? An area i havnt been to before, perhaps with some walking in nature and a good few caches to find. Mt Beckworth looks like an excellent target, lets go! The geopooch and i were quickly in the geomobile and away.
A nice quick one here, the cache is well protected. I found that the track is closed from here on so I may just walk up to the rebel droid then call it a day on Mt Beckworth. I still have plenty to find here but a big walk feels too ambitious for this evening.

Arrived at the parking area just a mt bike rider came in from...somewhere. Had a chat about the area before heading off for the cache. Still rather wet underfoot here, however the cache was found and the log soon signed. From there it was up the hill a bit for one more over this side.
Thanks for another one wozzle68...

We enjoy finding caches and this was another we enjoyed finding
This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Freddo for a couple of days before caching up with some fellow Aussie counter parts
A great weekend away and a very well organised mega despite the horrible weather thrown at us we still managed to find quite a few caches

I camped near by and went for a look after tea. Like the other said there is nothing there. Cache replaced from the Pajero's resources.
November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

I spent the bulk of today wandering around Mt Beckworth, getting some exercise ahead of this weekend's Australasian Rogaine Champs near Avoca. Apart from being in cloud, there was very little rain, however it was very wet underfoot. No sign of a cache here.

After a huge day on Mt Beckworth, catnap777 and I crawled back to our camp in Clunes, freshened up and hit the town for every cache we could get our greedy mits on.
Next morning we did it all over again on the northern half on Mt Beckworth starting with this one..... if it was there.
Well maybe it is there, but it was the only DNF we had up here for the entire day.
Thanks anyway wozzle68.

Found day 3 of a somewhat impromptu solo caching and camping trip to Victoria from Adelaide.
I had planned to spend a week travelling, caching and camping along the Great Ocean Road, but my travelling companion had to postpone it due to other commitments. I was still keen to go away somewhere this week as well, so decided to head to the western part of the state on my own.
I created a bit of a 'menu' of specific caches of interest in the broad area that I might be in before I left home and just pottered along fairly casually, taking in the sights and grabbing what I could along the way.
I wasn't actually planning to visit this area, but I somehow managed to end up here and it was a good place to camp with what looked like some interesting walks and caches to find.
This morning I walked up to the summit and back from Manna Gums, finding this cache before I left.
Thanks wozzle68 for the cache.

On a caching and camping trip with day1976, he put together the list of caches, and I worked out we could camp near the Cork Oaks cache so we headed there. We got to camp with plenty of light to spare, so we set up the tents then drove off to start on the series.
This cache was the last for the day, we needed to get back to start the fire for dinner.
Realised there was a camping spot here too! This cache was a nice easy find which day1976 spotted first.

Ilukaperi and I did a flying visit to Mt Beckworth. One night of camping.
After setting up camp, we decided to nab some caches before dinner.
Last one for the day. Easily found. Now time to cook some dinner and drink some beer.

We have decided to head off for a couple of days, with no particular destination in mind. As we stopped for lunch in Clunes, we decided to check out Mt Beckworth as a possible spot to camp for a couple of nights. It certainly helped that there is plenty of caches on offer, and we have solved most of the puzzles. We decided to camp at the Manna Gums campsite, and Mr. Dromaniax took one of the geodogs for a walk to see how many caches he could find in two and a half hours. This one is the closest to camp was the first cab off the rank. A quick find and the cache in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache wozzle68.
Think someone was playing funny buggers because it was up high and with rubbish in it. We returned it to "down low".

A great day with Shumba7 enjoying all the Beckworth Beckons series has to offer. Lots of smiles collected and enjoyed. Thanks Wozzle68 for more fun times.
TFTC. Quick find with Algae today and a day exploring the Mount Beckworth area. Nice day to be out and about not too hot and not too cold. A great day with a couple of hikes and driving around the area. A couple of muggles around this area camping, but none sighted us.

I headed out with Steve on our first caching run since before the second lockdown. Ballarat, Mount Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick were our targets for today. Lots of muggles out enjoying a picnic but we were far enough from them that they didn't see what we were up to.

*Cache find # 11083.*
This was a quick stop and we were far enough away from the picnicking muggles so that we were able to find this one.
Finally we are able to get out and about so we headed for Mt.Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick.
I have been to Mount Beckworth a number of times now to try to find them all and after today it was nearly done but there are still 4 remaining, maybe one day.

Day 7 St Arnaud Campground to Mount Beckworth Reserve - Cork Oaks Camp ground
Found after completing the chalenge trail. Just grabbing caches along the route to our camp site.
We left St Arnaud and heading in the general direction of Mount Beckworth Reserve to the puzzle trail. We stopped along the way to get multi's,puzzles and any local coucil areas. This was one of a small number of caches found on route to the reserve. We had to fix a staked tyre before we left, so it was a late start. quick find.
Came over to the 2019 mega in St Arnaud with Mogni. We where joined by jj52, Aussie M and M plus others at different times over the mega weekend. Many caches where found over the course of the 8 day trip. Targeting multi's on the way there and back plus the challenge trail in Mount Beckworth reserve. The creative trails around St Arnaud where the highlight of the trip.

I dropped in to the Beckworth Scenic Reserve on my way from Melbourne to Maryborough to check out the camp sites and to see if it was suitable to bring our caravan here. I was happy to discover that we won't have any problems and I foresee a great week of hiking, mountain biking and geocaching ahead of us soon. Can't wait! I was so happy I just had to grab this cache in preparation.

We had arrived in this very beautiful area yesterday evening, and by the end of a thoroughly enjoyable late afternoon/early evening geocaching hike we had found 11 of the caches in the area. We then spent last night at Manna Gums campsite. This morning we set off on foot for what our GPS recorded as having been a 7 hour, 13 kilometre geocaching hike, with a total ascent of 585 meters and a total descent of 561 meters. After returning to our waiting hired cache-mobile we then drove on to find the rest of the caches in the area. We then spent a second night at Manna Gums campsite before leaving the Reserve, by which time the Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve had become one of our all time favourite places we have visited in Australia - plus of course we left this geocaching playground with a full house of smilies! - not to mention the thrill of a gorgeous little Echidna who late in the day walked right up to me and then sat down between my feet - I felt so privileged! We had deliberately not searched for this cache first thing this morning, knowing that finding this one would bring us back again to the Manna Gums campsite where we had started our geocaching hike 7 hours ago, but now back down the hill it was a quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found - and now for a nice long cold drink before setting off again to search for the last of the caches in this truly lovely reserve. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
TFTC. We had visited this cache last year , only to discover that the original sign had been removed and replaced by a new style. This was the first opportunity we have had since then to revisit. We had a mission today we wanted to get as many of the caches on Mount Beckworth as possible today to get closer to meeting the 400 with a twist challenge. There are also two caches here that will fill in a number on the D/T grid and also a month on the Ausmer challenge.
This was the last cache we could find in this section of the park and the track was management only. Quickly located the cache and then drove out to the other section of the park.

A day of caching with pprass and Xambo4u. We had some 4wding fun earlier in the day up on top of the hill from the northern end and we were now making our way through some of the lower areas picking up caches as we went.
Still hadn't got my eye when we got to this cache as I almost stepped on it while searching hollows nearby. Fortunately Mrs xAmbo4u was a bit more observant. Thx for another cache here wozzle68

Found at 12:52 PM GAFF1 in the company of perpetuallylost and xambo4u.
Went past a big group of horse people getting ready to go on a ride - lots of horse floats.
Drove as close as we could and then a short steep walk.
Interesting to see so many different types of eucalypts in this one reserve.
Thanks wozzle68.

While camping at the dam with pprass and pertpetuallylkost joined us for a day of caching. With 4 x 4 driving and quite a bit of walking for the day. We see our first sign of others here but they have 4 legs and being ridden. Bit of a steep walk here but it gives us time to enjoy these interesting manna gums. I do love Australian trees. Thanks for the journey wossle68.
This was the last cache for us today. A short search soon revealed it. We will definitly be back to finish the series. Thanks wozzles68 we have enjoyed our day out there.
Having just arrived home yesterday evening after an 8 day trip away[|)], today it was time to head to Ballarat as Cybergran V had wanted to a ride to attend wozzle68's 50th birthday celebration.
Harry managed to find a tree branch while reversing and gave himself an injury: the rear window on the canopy shattered [xx(] at the 2nd cache find for the weekend and yet by the time this was discovered at Castlemaine, many kilometres later, nothing had fallen out of the gaping hole! Whew!! [^]
Cardboard and duct tape saved the day/weekend!
After attending the birthday celebration tea leafotwind, Rex and I headed out doing some caches until late in the night then after a good rest thanks to an extra room at leafotwind's accommodation (which was hugely appreciated [:X]), the next day we attended the breakfast event and then (after Cybergran V rejoined us) we headed out to claim some challenge caches accompanied for a short time by both Mrs and Mr Riddell
With the last cache of the 29 cache finds found at 6pm on the 5th, it was time for the drive back to Shepparton, having attended 2 events and only having 1 DNF and 1 Write note on a challenge cache that I do not yet meet.
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

After having attended the second of the birthday events in Ballarat I had planned to tackle some Mt. Beckworth caches. I was joined by locus cache and CybergranV which proved fortuitous both from an energy/motivation standpoint after yesterday's 20km+ of walking as well as a couple of puzzle solves. A great day out. Thanks to either Wozzle68 or McLookers for putting out the caches and drawing me to the area.
I can’t believe how beautiful the weather has been for the last two days whilst we have been in Ballarat for the two events.
After breakfast locus cache, Rex the GeoDog, leafotwind and I came up Mt Beckworth to see what we could find.
My turn to discover one, and I loved the setting.
Thanks for another great stroll in the bush to locate this one wozzle68.

Out with Flynnsworth for a bit of a walk up, over and around the mount. Stopped at the Manna Gums for a break before the final grunt back up to the ridge and down to the car. I've twice come to this spot to collect this cache but each time, found the area already populated. This time however, we had it to ourselves so off we went for a quick find. Thanks for the welcome diversion, Wozzle68.

We were between Talbot & Clunes scouting a potential new cache location and remembered there had been a couple of caches not yet logged by us in Mt Beckworth that might be accessible in our low XR6 so off we went and managed them with very minimal issues. We started up the other side but came across a rather large puddle so aborted.

We arrived here today to have a look around, as it's been on our to do list for some time. The grass is still long and dry, but we would keep a keen eye out as we walk for wildlife (Snakes).
The Park is quiet, although we did see two Rangers checking out facilities at Cork Oaks Campground and also noticed someone had signed a log earlier today. Our plan was to check out the park, then pick up any caches that we came across, so we started off at the n/w corner first.
We didn't get all the caches in here, but will be back to tackle the higher caches and those we missed at a later date. We found the caches we looked for and all were in good condition, thankfully there are lots of caches here to enjoy.

We found the cache here quite easily, so thank you wozzle68 for this cache placement and the series here.
Joined up with Na'wal and DAB to spend the day caching around Ballarat and Mt Beckworth. I'm glad we stocked up with fluids as as the temperature soared. With the long dry grass we were weary of snakes. Made our way to GZ making a quick find but spent a few minutes pulling the prickle seeds out of my socks.
Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache wozzle68

Today I was in the company of Ausfox; and Na'wal. There had been a bit of chatter about Mt.Beckworth recently, so we decide to give this series a crack. I had never been here before, so I was really looking forward to it. We knew it was going to be warm and even though our phones said it was 31 degrees, it felt a lot warmer than that by early afternoon. Apart from a couple of walkers around the back of the mountain, we had the whole area to ourselves. A nice little area, with tables provided as well as some campfire sites. TFTC wozzle68

Today was planned with a cache trip to Ballarat and the Mt. Beckworth area for another geocaching adventure. DAB, Ausfox and myself met early, packed the geo vehicle with plenty of drinks as we knew today was going to be a hot day and we were on our way. We made it to our destination for the day and were greeted with a very hot Mt. Beckworth. Plenty of tall, dry grass which would have been a snakes paradise but thankfully none were seen. As soon as we hit the right spot, a million bugs flew at us. Bloody hell, must of been our sweet and they were thirsty. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this trad cache and series wozzle68**
**Cache container and log in good condition**
**Took nothing, Left nothing**

Thought I'd tackle some Beckworth caches today, as the weather isn't too hot! Second find for the day. Great camping spot too! TFTC
As we had met the conditions for the Scrabble Challenge, we had a visit to this area on our itinerary for today. We added some other caches to justify the length of the drive. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks wozzle68 for the cache and for bringing us to this area.
Spent a morning out on the mountain bike chasing a few caches.
What a lovely spot. This cache was quickly found and signed.

Well this was going to be a big day for Suscoe.
Up early and off with long shadows stretching across the ground in the early morning.
A sunny day with the temperature around 30 degrees during the afternoon was going to be warm but thankfully a breeze sprung up during the morning and kept going all day and so it cooled Suscoe down at times when it was most needed.
This was the 22nd find of the day.
A late lunch was on the cards here, and I mean late.
So a quick find and sign was appreciated.
Thanks to Wozzle68, another lovely area.
