Hardest part was finding a break in the traffic to retrieve and return the log. Tftc
Didn’t really want to stop here for obvious reasons but needs must. So between traffic managed to get the cache, sign it in the car and put it back without being seen! Nice to have a smiley but certainly is a weird place for a cache!
Found in the dark last night while driving past. Took a few minutes to track down but we have the '"a-ha" moment and there it was. TFTC [^]
A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 13 Dunedin to Herbert Forest 25 caches. All targets have been met. Not much traffic so was able to swing across and park right at GZ. Thank you for the placement

Found on our return road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find. Merry Christmas and TFTC.
Once we'd parked we spotted the cache from a few metres away (and smelt it too.. only a breeze though!), picked a spot between trucks and grabbed it. Seemed quite busy on the roads today, I wonder what people thought I was doing.. ha!
Heading home to Geraldine after a weekend "caching up" with KJR in dunnas nice quick find tftc
No one else was near GZ, so it was quite a quick and easy find. It was not even very whiffy today, or maybe the wind was blowing in the right direction. The log soon had our name added and we moved out on case the location was needed. Greetings from a couple of Aussies who are touring New Zealand and appreciate a fine day for a change. Many thanks to Heafudd for putting this cache into play.
Woke up in my stone cottage Airbnb in Ocean Grove to find that it had yet again rained overnight. But the dawn was crisp and clear so another day to look forward to with dry shoes and socks. If it carries on like this, I would have packed extra shoes and my wet weather gear for nothing. But I’m not complaining, I’m utterly sick of all the rain we have had over winter in the Manawatu.
Heading from Dunedin through the Pig Root to Alexandra for the day. Very excited, I did spend a lot of time driving this route when I lived in Oamaru and it is one of my favourite parts of the country.
A thankfully quick find here and also thankfully no one using the facilities, I guess because it is Sunday. TFTC

I drove up from Dunedin to to Oamaru today on my way to attend the weekend's Geofest Event. I ventured off the main highway a number of times to explore the country byways. There was of course the odd cache to find along the way as well. All in all a very pleasant trip with some interesting places and great views along the way. Cheers and TFTC

Today we decided on a multi-day tour, after stopping at Omarama today continues to Dunedin, scenic road we will stop on the lakes that meet
Here we are in Dunedin, waits here for historical cache us that in Italy there are no thanks for posing and maintenance
Dunedin is a special city for geocaching
And after the historic hunting the last two days we decide today for a quiet day
Greetings from Italy

Found with Granville86a on a lovely weekend for a caching trip to Palmerston. Thanks for your cache placement though Mr wasn;t that impressed witht he location
Found with MrandMrsChosen1978 on our way home from a weekend in the area, Quickly spotted and logbook signed.
Last for the day, just as I was dozing off in the back seat, we stopped for a driver change, and I was pushed out to go find this one. Certainly a whiff! Log damp and falling to pieces a bit, but managed to sign.
Thanks heafudd. This was find #1300
Sorry about the mix-up, my excuse is that it was dark!

Headed off up to cross this one off the list. Found straightaway. Brrr it's cold here! TFTC
Heading to Central for the weekend so decided to go via the Pigroot to do some caching on the way and a good chance to find a few more closer to home first. A nice quick find by R but was a good 15 minutes in between traffic to get the log (still slightly wet) sign it and then replace. By this time we were quite accustomed to the whiff in the air! TFTC
A quick park and grab. The log was very damp and started the rip as I was signing it. So I have taken a pic for proof I was there TFTC
Enjoying a great trip with tmann421 collecting caches along the way and getting to see some remote locations.
Another good find for us here. TFTC

Quick look and we had this one - rain quite heavy now so we signed it in the car and returned it. TFTC
Ok we had said we had done last but this one has eluded us last couple of times so decided we would stop and give it another go and alas we had it I. Hand very soon TFTC!
No trucks in here emptying their liquid contents and not much smell. I liked the little "umbrella" that the cache has.
Today, I was heading down towards Dunedin and - like on the previous days - wanted to find some caches along the way.
The virtual at Seacliff hospital sounded interesting and thus I did This cache as the first one for today and continued with the 'Ape series' along the way. Having found the last remaining APE-cache in Brazil two years ago I thought this little trail sounded suitable.
I found all caches, twice I had to search for the a little bit longer.
This cache had quite a few spider webs around it but apart from that it was in good shape...
TFTC!

Whiffy indeed. My gps mislead me a little and I ended up putting my foot in something mushy. Then I reassessed the situation, looked somewhere else and bingo! Tftc.
Traveling South with Injeanious from Chch to Dunedin for a weekend visit. We found the most caches in one day ever, for us going down, then did even better on the return trip heading back up State Highway 1. TFTC!!
The plan was hatched a few years ago now and it has been a standing weekend away with a few of us mad keen cachers. This trip was made up of Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and me (TheWanglers). We couldn't use a previous anagram to sign the logs as one member was in Aussie. So we had to come up with another... Hmm, KiTT? We decided on KiTT but after signing the first few logs something KR mentioned took a while for me to sink in and I didn't really take on board until the next time I signed the log. "Hey, the double 'TT' looks like Pi!". Oh, that's what KR said! So we signed the log this trip as KaTT pronounced 'Kapai'! And the trip was kapai!!! We had an epic weekend starting with a detour to Peel Forrest for a few FTFs, stopped in Omaru, thrashed Dunedin and detoured to Port Charmers for a FTF and then back to Pleasant Point and Peel Forrest to finish off the weekend with more FTFs. We got home to our families at a respectable hour after clocking up just over 1100km!
We had a few milestones we really wanted to crack. My 4000th, TG's 5000th and KR's 10,000th. We cracked my and KR's goal and got really close for TG. It really is about the numbers. This trip was awesome as it has given me some ideas
We were heading back to Chch and stopped by on a few before Oamaru. Quick find well we found the lid and string. We added a new cache to keep it going.
Thanks for the cache.

Show weekend and a Road Trip to Dunedin with 'The Boys'....Karma Reprint & TheWanglers. Initially came up with the acronym KiTT but on seeing the TT looked like a Pi symbol we quickly changed to Ka(Pi) (ie. Kapai)....and a fantastic weekend it was. 3 days, 1100km, a heap of caches and great fun.
Not too whiffy this morning but we only found the wire & lid - no cache container! We hung a bison tube with new log to keep the cache in action!

Quick find once we replaced the container. Cheers and thanks.
Canterbury show weekend and time for our annual road trip to some place with plenty of boxes to find. One player short this year as PurdiePurdie got a better offer over the Tasman, (no not another MEGA).
TheWanglers, Team Gaters and I took off at 4:45am for Dunedin for a weekend of fun frivolity and finds. The plan was to get as many as we could, while still having a good old time, which we managed in abundance. Logs were generally signed kaTT, which actually should read ka pai, but I can not seem to get pi as a symbol.
A great time was had by all.
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

This cache was one of 350 found on a short trip back to New Zealand, which was principally organised so that I could attend my Great Grandmother's 100th birthday.
I have a great time and enjoyed a great variety of caches, most of which were new (ie published in the past couple of years ).
Thanks for all the great caches.

Got this one back at Christmas and hadn't logged it...was a very wet day on a trip to Oamaru...one of the few we had this summer tftc
The wind was blowing some it wasn't too bad today. Hardest part was waiting for a gap in the traffic - a lot of vehicles on the road today. TFTC #6555
Despite it being surprisingly obvious when we looked in the right place, we spent a wee while looking in the wrong places. Must have been put off by the smell. Found with JuJu54. TFTC
