Seems like this cache is cursed to exist. I am really curious how it keeps going MIA in which it has now. I may resurrect it I may not. Until I decide what to do I am currently disabling it.

Alas - I could not spy this from the ground... And, given I couldn't decide which tree it was - I decided not to climb both, in hope! - I'll be back!

15-Apr-15
Spotted it but me and my daughter couldnt get up to it. Despite me giving a foot boost. I suspect that the birds that mobbed us at the end may be why the cache ends up on the ground so often!

14-Apr-15
I have replaced it back in it's appropriate spot. I am super confused how it keeps ending up on the ground. I really think it must be birds.

Anyways have at er

This cache needs to be re-placed by the CO as it is not where it is described to be on the cache page.

TFTC. Found this one on the ground under some sticks. From reading the description and looking at the tree, we decided to not try and hide it due to the difficult climb. Could the CO please come and place this cache correctly.

Hate to admit it, but i found this cache on the ground again.

I'll try to gide it again

Not too sure how the cache kept ending up on the ground but it has been restored stronger than ever. If it ends up on the ground again, it means the Ravens have grown opposable thumbs...

Have at er!

As for previous cachers, found this one on the ground and not in pristine condition. Bit disappointing as I was looking forward to the climb (can't remember the last time I climbed a tree Wink ). Replaced the cache on a lower limb, but to restore the integrity of the cache intervention is required from the CO.

24-Mar-15
Intervention from the cache owner may be required to effect repairs and return the cache to the correct location.

NIce evening stroll to get my steps up. Same as log before (I'm too old to climb trees). TFTC

Canberra Day cache, with two smaller cousins in tow. Thought that with a medium sized boy we could tree climb in daylight. We all looked and couldn't find it but then our lovely lad discovered it on the ground. So we signed the log book and then put it back in reaching distance in a close tree branch as we had no idea where it was meant to be. TFTC.

24-Feb-15
We have been eyeing this one off for the last couple of weeks but have only visited at night and decided not to attempt. Today we made it there in daylight and were all prepared for a climb. But at GZ, quickly spotted the container on the ground. Loki still got her tree climb in while replacing but no idea if she replaced it in the right spot. Thanks for the climb anyhow RuGgStA, even if not as originally intended.

There is more than climbing trees involved in this one. I now know what it feels like to be a step ladder!! TFTC tHe RuGgStA.

After attending the Event today GrimRaider and I headed off with Captain Tomato and Mr Roo to grab some more caches. This one had been recently hidden so Roo had not yet found it. We found the cache on the ground - nice and easy - so we signed the log book. Captain Tomato volunteered to put it back up where he had found it previously. Nice work CT because it wasn't an easy first branch to get up. I think it was coming down though where he scratched up his arm. Nice hide in a busy area - TFTC Smile

Got to this one with grimraider, kittykatch and captain tomato today. Captain had already done this so knew what had to be done. We found it on the ground but after signing it captain tomato climbed the tree and put it where it should be. TFTC

Went out to have Burmese food at the Mandalay bus and mentioned to the others that I had seen the cache the previous day, but didn't climb in my work shoes and attire.

So we, F.E.Iron, I-CCCLXXX, goutou and I sauntered over and goutou retrieved the cache quickly and I signed for all.

There were some shady characters around but they thought we were watching them and moved to the other end of Haig park, leaving us to do some muggle free caching.

While we saw the cache and we got on the first branch, I didn't see how we could safely get higher.... Maybe another time after a storm!

Found with tic toc and Cacheoar.

Third find for 2015. Luckily Cacheoar is a bit more spritely than I am, he shinned up that tree real quick, despite many protestations from his mum (tic toc). Anyway, one way or the other the cache is found and logged. TFTC

3750. Nothing Suss here today. No muggles around, so it was an unassisted ascent and quick signing. Up and down without being noticed on a nice boxing day morning, despite carrying a bit extra after yesterdays efforts.
Thanks RuGgStA for the cache and the fun.

DNF. Well, not strictly true. I found it ok but the geospouse has a bad back and couldn't give me a boost. I gave it a crack though. That is I broke a branch that I found on the ground under another tree while trying to use it as a set of steps. Hmm ... May be I need to get me some butch buddies. Tftc

15-Dec-14
I'd add 1/2 star fot terrain considering the first step. In general easy cache:-)

12-Dec-14
Found it lying on the ground in full view, with several inquisitive crows standing guard. Returned it to possible original hiding spot, but owner may need to rehide.

Found 8:10 pm with LuckyL10n. I had earlier in the day looked at this one but determined in my business clothes and tie it wouldn't be a good idea to try and retrieve the cache. I had a colleague with me and a potential boost was possible but nope I wasn't going to take the chance with my clothes. So at that time headed off to another nearby cache. Not much later I texted my daily geobuddy that I had done my daily find but offered to still do something else in the evening. So on that basis later in the evening I mentioned how I would like to do this cache. LuckyL10n wasn't opposed to the idea so here we are later in the evening where I offered to climb if he boosted. So now that I am back again that first branch looks like a doozy to get onto and now it was all wet from the rain that wasn't here earlier in the day. Anyway LuckyL10n was ready to boost so here goes. Up I went and I had to then pull myself over the branch but how to progress from this awkward position? Ok I ended up straddling the branch with a leg on either side. Ok now what? Why does everything seem to be different in poor light! I realised I could reach up to the branch above me and with that support I was able to get myself up and standing on the branch. I was then concerned about how wet the branches were and possibly slippery but as they say 'in for a pound in for a penny' so up I went. A little later the log book was signed for LuckyL10n and I, and I was on my way back down. Now on that last branch ok now what? It looks a little too far down to jump for someone my age. Only way for it was too drop and grab the branch and swing down and then drop. In the process though as I discovered when I was back on the ground I realised I still had my business shirt on and the tree being wet I had pretty major grubby marks on me. Oh well some scrubbing I was up for later. Thanks for the cache, it was something different.

#2756 - 20:05; Collected MrDamage to go and get our nightly daily and he suggested we try this one. We poarked the geomobile and headed across to GZ, which we had both visited previously! I gave MrD a bit of a leg up and he was away. He questioned why he was doing this, forgetting he had volunteered to do the climb, and I must admit it felt unusual for me being the one standing down below Cool. In the end he reached his goal and managed to complete log signing duties without incident. He also made the return journey okay, although the dismount lost a few points for the landing and for messing up his outfitWink. It was then off to Narrabundah to pick up a few more. Grabbed a colleague and had him help me up the tree. Got a few scratches, but had fun. TFTC!

Found at 1530. After a lunch out turned into an extended afternoon away from work thanks to a couple of forgotten meal orders, we were looking for any excuse not to have to go back, so when I jokingly suggested grabbing a cache or two it was jumped upon. We tried a couple of others in the area without success, then looked at the possibilities for this one. The cache as spotted from the ground, which was all the motivation we needed. As the only registered cacher it was my duty to make the ascent, with a boost provided to assist with the first move - doing a tree climb straight after lunch probably wasn't the wisest move now I think about it [xx(].

Still, the rest of the climb was straightforward with the cache quickly retrieved and signed, and there were no problems with the descent. Once I was safely on the ground I realised I'd managed to trash another pair of pants with sap - I reckon the description for these types of caches should include a surefire method of cleaning clothes after the climb!

Thanks for the cache RuGgStA.

I had a look at this last week, but I was not up to getting started on my own so today I came back prepared for what was needed. It was my universal Terrain five fixer that did it for me. I am also happy to say I managed not to drop anything while I was at the cache, a bit of a bonus really. Thanks.

Oh no....nothing suss about us at this one! Smile[:O)] Myself and the ladies from the FurfacesLL decided to target this one on an impromptu after work geomisson. It was just on dark when we rolled up and initially we were put off by two workman muggles enjoying a couple of cold ones near the car park, but after a quick reccie of the location and the hide we didn't need to worry about muggles! Wink

So then our plan was deployed along with the trusty FurfacesLL elevation device Big Grin Up, up I went - with FurfacesLL#1 as support and #2 on illumination duty. It was a bit of an adrenalin rush the higher up I went but I was pleased I was able to reach the cache in good time. So after signing for us all, down I went. In the meantime the FFLL's had repositioned things so navigating the way down may have been easier.....well that's when the fun started! Big Grin

A few times it was difficult for me to see where to put my feet due to the torch light from below and the distances between the branches so had to stop a few times to reposition myself under the direction of FFLL#2.."lift your left foot off and move to your right" "lift your bum up and then move to your left"..."which one?" "that one?" "oh yeah!" etc etc lol I felt like I was in a three dimensional game of twister! lol [:O)][:O)]

Anyway, once back down on terra firma it was mission accomplished and we were off home.

Thanks for the fun, tHe_RuGgStA Smile

This one was full of adventure as SpecimenX has clearly outlined in her log. Terribly hard giving instructions when one is laughing. But it made for an eventful cache.

8852 + 1008 = 9860. There should be more caches in this park !

Very nice in here. I swung by today and grabbed this one - it was a quiet time as there were no muggles to speak of - so no one thinking I was doing anything Suss !

Thanks tHe RuGgStA !

Some days your luck is in...some days it's not. Today it was.....

Arrived at GZ and started the search. Looked up.....and looked up some more. After 10 minutes I was going to give it away after I failed to see it........when it turned out I had been looking the wrong way.......as I found the cache on the ground. Signed the log but with no idea where it had come I had no choice but to leave it on the ground.....albeit covered so it's not easily seen.

So yep, sometimes you can be lucky. Thanks tHe RuGgStA. PM on the way.

Thought a lunchtime run was ok. Lucky I wore jeans today. Didn't see it from the ground at first but decided to climb. Find it a bit higher than I thought work shoes could manage but got there in the end. TFTC

Found with Renwallz. Couldn't see the cache from ground level but went up anyway. Renwallz gave me a lift to get going. After climbing for a while I heard Renwallz say something. 'What?'
'I don't think it would be up that high,' he repeated.
I looked down and realised I'd climbed very high.
Climbed all the way down and looked up the other nearby trees. I saw something, and at that point I knew I'd climbed the wrong tree. Not for the first time.
The tree with the cache in it was harder to get into. I mean, it was a serious first step. And the second step was not simple either. I jumped up and swung around and almost fell. But Renwallz grabbed my foot and held it to the tree trunk so I wouldn't slip around any more. After that it was a bit easier.
Tks tHe RuGgStA for a very challenging climb!

Found it with Zt07. Zt07's climbing ability impressed me, he climbed two trees in search for the cache, and handled them both with minimum help. The climb down the second tree was assisted by gravity at the end, but Zt07 managed to land it with a minimum of battle scars. A cache well earned, with surprisingly little muggle activity nearby for the time of day. I will suggest to fellow cachers to bring along a step ladder or sturdy friend for that first step, it's a doozey.

Also we just have to add, I think the only thing Suss in this park this afternoon was us [:p]! ...The muggle on the bench probably thought we were doing some strange type of fitness workout, heheh. Thanks again tHe_RuGgStA for a fun and challenging cache Smile

With it being such a lovely evening we were keen to check this one out. With a little teamwork Miss Stormcatcher was up onto the first branch and up she went. There was a muggle watcher on a nearby park bench but luckily he was not able to see the cache from his vantage point. Signed the log at 18:10 with a *FTF*.
Thanks for a fun way to end the weekend.
